Peabnut had some great wins over Jake and Zomba. But I especially loved how he adapted against Tilde in winner's finals. He went from getting 3 stocked and 2 stocked, then he 2 stocked Tilde, and then game 4 was insanely close and competitive.
I think it’s weird to say this about a zoner but I think megaman is the best-designed character in the game. Faithful to his series, really good without being broken, his use of projectiles can switch from being defensive to agressive/offensive. Not to mention having sick conversions and really unique tools in his kit
@@nathanlevesque7812 i do agree that i don’t like how pellets and metal blade interact with tilt stick and other special move inputs but also i hate the way ultimate controls/plays in general so idk

Absolutely! Not only is he one of the most unique projectile zoners I've ever seen, he's also one of the most faithful portrayals of a character's abilities and movements in their home series being brought into a crossover fighter.

Mega Man has always been a great character, even with the nerfs. And I’m really happy Peab did really well at Riptide, not just because he deserves it and is really good, but also because people finally get to see the truth: Mega Man is super good in the right hands. And really fun to watch too!
This is an amazing series i hope you guys never stop it. Also, i wonder if people will finally realize megaman is busted, just one of the hardest characters in the game to pilot to balance it out.
at least on gamecube controller, turnaround up tilt is usually free in ulltimate because it can be hold buffered, giving a ton of time to position the stick correctly. in addition, the up diagonal notches on the controller guarantee soft turnaround !
Mega man is a character that doesn't benefit from ultimate having such a huge roster because while I think he's a high tier character on the same level as Samus, he's just so much harder that it's just not easy to justify playing them On the flip side, when a great player pilots the character, you have a hidden strong character very few people remember how to play against, and peab has certainly become a master at it

Game 5 in grand finals was a 2 stock for Tilde. That's not technically that close. But game 3 and 4 were very close.
