Just installed this kit on my 07 Wrangler, and I love it! I'm 59 yrs old and only 5' 4", and my Jeep has a lift kit, so every time I lift the hood I would have to stand on my toes to secure the prop rod, not any more! Also super easy to install. Two thumbs up!

@DanOfTheWild You got that right!, that's exactly what my lift kit is 2", and also why I've never been married. good job!

I like that lower mounting plate design even more than the redline tuning struts I have installed on my JT. That being said, redline tuning has exceptional customer support.

We just installed the Rival hood lift kit on our '21 JLUR last weekend. It took 5 minutes and so far I love it! I spent the next day doing other under hood mods and it was really nice to not have the hood prop in the way. It's also a pain for an average height guy to use the hood prop on a JL sitting on 39"s.

Purchased mine for my 2019 Jeep Wrangler Shara, they work great, giving open work area without working around the hood rod.✌️✌️✌️

The prop rod will never need to be replaced. Save your money.

Easy install, as decribed in video. Good to have especially if you have fire under your hood...you do not want your arms to get burned when opening that hood without it!

When I am working under the hood on my JK I usually just put an old towel up on the windshield frame and lean the hood all the way back. More room to get up in there and no need for the hood support rod.

Just completed the install. Very well made and easy just as described. The only catch would be to watch it as you install the mounting "nut plates" as if you aren't careful they could fall into the hole in the hood to be lost forever! Great product!

One thing not mentioned or shown in the video is the kit actually comes with 5 bolts and 1 of the 5 is slightly longer(Rival says it's for Eco Diesel)and will cause an outward dimple if not careful. My kit only came with 3 shorts & 1 long & didn't realize till it was too late. But I did see using these although may let the prop rod out of the way you'll loose several inches in height for your head/body clearance. Save your money & just put the hood all the back

😐Good, but not perfect for the 392. 392 has a mounting bracket for the ECU just forward of the battery that I had to trim and repaint to prevent contact with the shock that deforms the hood and prevents full closure. Also, the 392 hood is heavier and the shocks will not raise the hood. They will hold it up when You raise it. if you do not have the ability to trim, sand, and paint a factory steel bracket, don't buy this for the 392. Heavier shocks needed for the 392.

Looks like there’s no other offer in the market without having to trim that ECU bracket as it’s just on the way…

$90 so I don’t have a rod and don’t have to lift a light hood out of the way? Feels pretty steep, but good business since people will pay anything to say it’s “customized” like everyone else’s.

Actually, it's something Jeep SHOULD have done factory STANDARD, especially on these expensive vehicles.
      Same for locking gas-cap-cover and/or gas-cap itself.
BOTH should be standard, but they're not even options, so you HAVE to go 3rd-party. Pretty lame of Jeep...
I got the Redline struts and Mopar locking gas cap (the one you key to your OEM key-fob's key).

@@manbeastx69 Wells, maybe with the Ford Bronco out and directly competing with the Jeep Wrangler, Jeep will wake up just a little, even though the Wrangler is already an outstanding, serious 4x4, top-dog, off-road focused mid-sized SUV, and previously had NO direct competition! NOW I guess it's the Bronco Badlands w/ Sasquatch pkg vs. Wrangler Rubicon. Of course, the various Bronco trims will compete with their corresponding Wrangler trims...
As for the Gladiator -- a mid-size truck with the very same adjectives describing it as I did the Wrangler -- since Ford has bailed on coming out with a Bronco TRUCK to directly compete against it, I'm guessing any improvements Jeep does to the Wrangler will also appear on the Gladiator (of course, where applicable to a truck vs. a SUV).
For now though, it's going to be back & forth competition Bronco vs. Wrangler performance/capability-wise.
As for pricing, I guess each company is watching the other on THAT as well.
Glad I got mine when I did...I'm pretty sure I couldn't get one configured like mine NOW for the prices they were 6 months ago. :-(

The brackets on these are soooo much better than the Redlines.
