It's becoming quite apparent that we can never fully understand the true nature of Jesus. He is a living paradox as any created being can comprehend. I am confused and amazed. It's astonishing to realize that God perceives all of reality at simultaneously, all the time, and across all time, and somehow maintains a unified identity... or how God can be unchanging, but have such a great affect on people and such a vivid personality. I can't imagine that wonder of seeing Jesus face to face and realizing that He is not just the foundation of your salvation and faith, but also the omnipotent foundation of all existence. Wow...
The hypostatic union seems simple on the surface, but when you actually get down to the details, it soon becomes apparent that it's an incredibly complex subject that we will probably never understand fully.
At Swaggert School of Theology, we learned that the Hypostatic Union is the union of the divine and human natures of Jesus in the one divine person which is Jesus. Jesus is a divine person, with a divine nature, and a human nature united within the divine person Jesus. Under no circumstances whatsoever, can Jesus be considered to be a human person. Years later, I learned that they lifted all of this from the Catholic Church, which had already defined it as the dogma of the Hypostatic Union.
Good points in the video, but how was he "fully God"? The problem with Chalcedon and the Hypostatic Union is that they left room for a Nestorian view of the Lord. How? They said that the two natures did not intermingle (actually they used a lot of paradoxical language, having it both ways). So when we ask why our Lord didn't know the day or hour of his return the usual answer is he didn't know in his human nature only. That is Nestorian. As Scripture illustrates, he was the Logos in his spiritual identity which never changed in the Incarnation, but he did all miracles by the Father in him. He did not do miracles by his own power. Remember, he couldn't glorify himself. Therefore his deity attributes were left behind in the Incarnation! He really didn't know the day of his return. And by the same token, he didn't pretend to be a baby, he was a baby. Yet he was deity, fully God, in his spiritual identity of the Logos and also physically had the DNA of the Father. In this way only was Mary "the mother of God." Now he is in his glorified state and it is assumed he has all attributes again. Amen?
Uh, about all the silly buzz about the humanity of Jesus is missing the important question about Jesus' which IS: Did Mary contribute her genes in the physical makeup of Jesus or was she simply a vessel used by God to carry to term the infant Jesus in her womb?
The RC church is confused about this issue. She, the Catholic Church is so horrified with the idea of Jesus being the product of a sexual union(a gift from God) between two human adults that they had to invoke and involve the Ho!y Spirit as the sex partner of Mary which is scientifically and biological impossible but given the superstition and the miracle minded mindset and belief of the time, this was both possible and believable and taken advantage of with relish by the gospel writers inweaving their own fabricated about Jexus' birth.
Hello Jesus is the Messiah The Son of God The Son of David The Son of man The man God has chosen to be his anointed king The man God will judge the world through The man God raised from the dead Jesus has a God There is no triune god in scripture Jesus said the Father is the only true God! John 17 3 And this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.
Uh, Joel, you apparently did not know that the twelve apostles were ignorant, uneducated fishermen or peasants except for Judas, the only one who was literate and educted among them.
That's educated not educted. Further, you now have to ask why Jesus would choose these guys to be the ones to spread his good news of salvation with their handicap of a lack of education?
Is it based on the premise that the more ignorant, you are the stronger your faith? Judas, the smart one betrayed Jesus because he was disappointed that Jesus did not turn out to be the political leader he expected to lead the Jews out of Roman rule. Judas was a secret Zealot who had infiltrated the Jesus camp.
absolutely love these videos! thank you so much!!
Amazing video

Very good

You should understand it as being a false doctrine that is not mentioned in the bible

You missed the most common error in the church today in regards to the hypostatic union: Kenosis.

Nice shirt. If men don't wear ties they need variety.
@kardiognostesministries8150 The word God is ambiguous. Satan also is "god." As is Moses, Exodus 7:1.

Why are all three Persons male when God is not male?
Stop it.
@@caseyfenton90 the second Person was male from all eternity.
Hello
Jesus is the Messiah
The Son of God
The Son of David
The Son of man
The man God has chosen to be his anointed king
The man God will judge the world through
The man God raised from the dead
Jesus has a God
There is no triune god in scripture
Jesus said the Father is the only true God!
John 17
3 And this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.
I think if the twelve had done a better job for example, left a written report about Jesus,we wouldn't have the confusion

Jesus is "my God" (John 20:28).
