🇧🇴 When I order a taxi I don't want much. I don't need a fancy car or even decent music. What I do expect however is that the driver will at least know where he is going! And then not overcharge me at the end of the ride. Unfortunately I met this guy and, well see for yourself...

amy Ong thats what all the taxi drivers do, they will take you to the long way, that way they can charge you more.
tried it in turkey with me and i just stepped out the car and walked off as i knew where i was in that town, the man tried to grab my arm so i turned and cornered him against a wall and said what are you going to do? so he just walked off back to the taxi. pretty basic scam but you dont see it often or hear about it, probably because most think its genuine.

itsKarlDesigns here in Bolivia taxi fares are relatively cheap, paying 10 dollars for a ride is a lot.
Normal rides, even all the way across the city at night will cost you 3-5$ at most.

Bald, "verdad" is "truth", but when you say "verdad?" as you say at the beginning is as if you were saying "Right?". Better use "seguro/a?" (it has gender) which literally translates to "Are you sure?". Hope the tip helps you.

Guys.. coca leaves are not the same as cocaine... kinda makes me sad how the rest of the world sees my country... it is true that there's a lot of narcotrafic here... but coca leaves have some healing effects and helps non-native people to support the altitude.

I remember this bus station in 2014. Brings back so many memories watching this. That feeling of shouting/heckling that echoes through the station of people advertising their buses. Bald is such amazing traveller. Be careful of getting gringo taxed while there so many places will try it! Me and my friends just gave them the normal prices for things and walked away people give up most of the time if you do that

I'm glad Bald calls out scammers on their bullshit. Whether you have the money to pay the fare, and whether he's poor or not, there's no excuse for dishonesty like that. I quit my last reno job over my boss/roommate trying to rack up hours on a rich guy. This shit boils my blood.

My ex-wife was Bolivian-American. Her grandma from Bolivia would always make us “Sil-Pancho” which is a flat breaded & fried beef steak with a fried egg on top with salsa. It’s similar to Italian Milanesa. I highly recommend it if you can find the dish in Bolivia. Also, Bolivian peanut soup (Sopa de Maní) is awesome.
