Jails and prisons are notorious for flagrantly violating Deaf people’s rights to communication access. You don't deserve this. Get a lawyer and sue them. Be sure that lawyer understand your rights as deaf person.
Sorry this happened to you Andrew. It’s absolutely ridiculous. You should absolutely get a lawyer and sue them. That’s direct discrimination, law guarantees you right to access to communication. Andrew is 110% guilty verdict those committed to breaking/entering the warden got mad becuz he was looking for stealing pictures from fellow inmates, the warden knew Andrew is labeled deaf monster sickos

I have been jail long ago. You have stuffer waiting that room called “ waiting room booking”. It tough waiting long waiting.
Not safe pen due stabbing pen injury inmates. That why they won’t allow but they should have “soft pen” that will not stabbing someone. But it difficult to write soft pen.
Waiting room most of them deputy like testing to see inmates has no patience so deputy happy to write report to judge. That inmates got into trouble because “no patience “. You has to patience if they won’t give your need accessible, then write report first process then you can report your attorney. But sound deputy is bully.
Duct tape on TDD 😢 they should upgrade to videophone. You can report FCC.
ANYWAY stay out trouble. And stay out judge because judge give hardship sentences punish on deaf inmates than hearing people.

I’m believing that patrol lor staff should call interpreters for the deaf communication so staff’s understand better clearly. All jailers staffs or hearing counselors should learn how to sign language hands .it’s law the deaf people have rights to speak with A.S.L or A.D.A. Have rights deaf people communicate with Dr. Office or court room , or highway patrols or anywhere through required interpreters .

I can’t recall which state but the judge did put a deaf man in a jail cell with a murderer for domestic violence and unfortunately the murderer killed him on first night. What the fuck was the judge thinking?!? The judge’s ass should be taken to prison for that bs.
