- When people talk about sexual orientation, they usually refer to heterosexuality, homosexuality, and bisexuality. All are different types of sexual attraction. Asexuality is another type of sexual orientation. People who identify as asexual experience little to no sexual attraction to others. In this video, Zoe shares her experience with asexuality, clearing up some common misunderstandings in the process.

I'M ALSO PROUDLY ACE. I had so many similar experiences, at first I thought something was just wrong with me. Like I was "a straight person with a low libido/scared/lazy" but honestly, I just wasn't attracted to anyone. I looked online for help with it and found groups that ranged from "ah, I see, you just hate women" to "well, you're not just having sex the *right* way/picking up the *right* kind of women"... it was really confusing. Learning about asexuality has answered basically all the questions I had since puberty, and I wished I knew about it back in highschool rather than in my early 30s. Now it's just about being open about it and helping others come to understand it too. Thanks for sharing, ZOE!

My son at 15 identified asexual. Today at 19 he is still. He is handsome.
Its perfectly fine to be asexual person. I have several friends who are like you. They went on creating their life happily and very popular with us. You are great!!!❤

You can’t decide if you
are sexual attraction but maybe you just said incorrectly because it’s a difficult subject to explain? Like how i want to explain only choose not have sex is called a different name but realised I remember how to sign it in BSL but forgot the word for it. 😖 😊
Thank you for sharing your life story as an asexual person - I am a demi-sapio-bi-asexual deaf woman. I didn't discover asexuality until much later. I can relate to the suffering of being called horrible labels --- but "alien or robot" surprised me and so sorry those people called you that. People called me frigid black-hearted nun in the past. So glad you discovered this aspect of yourself early in life and I hope you will write your book! Cheers!

I hope to read your book! In college one deaf guy friend seem to be ace or aro, before we knew about the word since this was early 2000s and sadly was sexually harassed by women.
Anyway, there are anime, mangas, webtoons about this topic, including Steven Universe but I think the best one so far is a Japanese drama called Koisenu Futari (2022) Also Known As: 恋せぬふたり.
