Both my new Samsung tablet and Crystalsky show that they will download the local maps and show in the offline maps list. But as soon as I need them in the field off line. Nothing on the screen. So I am having to go back to useing my phone. I am starting to think the Crystalsky was a waste of money for a screen I cant use off line for a drone. Why do they show as there but then wont they show off line when I need them ? Any help would be great before I end up selling both.
Since this video there has been an update to the Crystalsky and still no map acquisition in the drop down list. Mine is just unobtainable no matter how many times I reboot or restart the Go app, it's also quite unstable as quite often a prompt will show Go4 has stopped. Issues with pixelating on screen with the camera view, distance from home gets further as you get closer and the maps stop working, also the battery voltage wont change from 100% never had any of these problems with a tablet. 1000nit large controlling Inspire 2 standard controller.
Yea DJI have now removed the option until he next release, they have moved to Mapbox from Here maps and the offline mode will be back soon, see my latest video for more info.

Thanks for your videos, I have just got a 5.5 crystalsky. but I found as I did with my phone. when I go to download the maps (UK in my case) all I can get is a small oblong box only letting me download a tiny map of my area. So I have to repeat this over and over just to get a local map. In all the videos ive seen. pople get the option to download the whole of the UK. aslo do i need to put a SD card in the crystalsky? cheers
Thank you for the video I had the same issue with my new CRYSTAL ultra bright screen that I just got back from DJI because the other ultra burnt down I wanted to ask you a quick question have you had any issues with your CRYSTAL sky heating up I just got my new one and it’s heating up again I’m going to have to call DJI tomorrow do you leave your Wi-Fi on even if you’re flying where you have Wi-Fi or turn it off I’m wondering if this might have something to do with my unit overheating again
Tatyn Kiraly My 5inch Crystalsky heats up quite a bit on the left hand side at the back, after a while the fan cuts in to cool it. I imagine this is normal for my unit.
with a pricy dedicated piece of kit developed and made by DJI there should be no issues, it seems that quality control and field testing is absent. a black mark for DJI over this.
3/20/18 - After troubleshooting with a kind DJI tech, He informed me that they have disabled the offline maps option because it has become unstable. Does anyone know a good workaround? I tried to get offline maps using the google map app, but every time I try to sign in it won't let me add my google account (perhaps this is disabled as well?).

Yep this is currently how it is, not ideal sadly and its been fed back to DJI

Odd, Make sire you are on the latest firmware, I have not had any overheating issues my self.
I have an issue where the world map is blank where it says select region you want to download

Yes off line maps has not been removed a minute while they switch from Here to Mapbox Maps
I tried it and it did not work on mine
Sorry this has now been changed again by DJI and no longer works.
I'm only having Chinese cities in the choice. no clue why
Keep trying it should get to world wide eventually, mine did this too.
