I usually buy bananas in bulk at the beginning of each week, I usually pick the ones that are 50% discounted due to being "too" ripe. I tend to peel them, cut them into chunks and keep them in the freezer for making instant "nice cream". I just blend them up with some unsweetened cacao powder, a pinch of salt, a little low fat creme fraiche or sour cream and some mint and it's a instant soft serve that is really refreshing when it is hot outside. Now i finally have something to try with the peels as well. Thanks for the inspiration! :)
Looks wonderful! ( : The white inside of the banana peel is also a natural form of citric acid. You can scrape it off, dehydrate it by placing it on a paper towel to air dry, then when fully dry, use grinder or bowl & pestle to pulverize it to a powder, and use in recipes calling for citric acid.

@@Littlewing6was9 yes indeed!!! and even better yet, take 4-6 organic peels that have been cleaned up on the insides, and what I do is steep in a jar in the fridge for wks to months. Then take 1/4 cup per gallon of water and feed. It can probably be more but see how the plant/veg responds. I’ve also tried throwing them into the oven at low heat, think it was 240, and ran them for an hr or two, been so long since doing it, that I can’t fully recall. But there’s info out there for it, then you break into pieces and can blend with roasted egg shells as well to make a potent fertilizer. Happy growing

J'ai donc testé et suivi les différentes étapes à la lettre, mais au niveau du réchauffage de l'eau de bananes/sucre coco j'ai constaté (après refroidissement) qu'il était assez fluide, pas vraiment épais... J'ai donc repris le sirop et j'ai rajouté un peu de fécule de maïs dilué en mélangeant et après quelques heures de repos la texture ressemblait plus à la vidéo. Il semble bien délicieux en tout cas, je testerais prochainement avec de la glace probablement (en cette période estivale 😉). Bonne soirée et merci à vous 🙏🙏

I'd make this low carb by boiling the banana peels, removing the peel, reduce the broth down, then add low carb sweetener and xantham gum or another thickener. Banana flavor without the carbs is brilliant.
Looks interesting, but It would be helpful if you told your viewers what this tastes like and what are good uses for it. Does it have a strong or mild banana flavor? Because without knowing that I’m not sure what makes this preferable to just a simple syrup.
Good questions and does the toasted coconut flavor from the coconut sugar overwhelmed the banana flavor? This seems to be a beeless honey recipe made with a banana skin broth and using coconut sugar instead of cane sugar. Either way this recipe sounds good to me unless you are someone that doesn't like the flavor of coconut especially roasted coconut. Then you might want to use white/raw cane sugar.

Not to question about the prices...at least in Brazil pure honey is far less expensive than coconut sugar.

Ça rappelle le miel de pissenlit (fleurs). Du coup, c'est probablement faisable avec d'autres fruits ou fleurs.
