Geez... I forgot to tell you what a kick I got out of your opening for these DB5 builds. Very cool... I honestly LOL when I first watched it. Thanks I needed the laugh at the time. Kit is looking great. Thanks so much Mark.
I inherited the Corgi DB5 from my uncle, what a fun diecast model it was! Looking at pictures I think there was a button on the side for the ejector seat, the bumpers sprang out the machine guns IIRC.
Great start Mark, a really good looking dash, (as always). Yes, it's called a 'glove box' in England, (prob. universally), as here in 'OZ'. Looks like fun's coming your way! All the best, & take care Buddy.
Very clean looking kit!! Definitely sold me to get one!! Love that idea of the wood grain with the orange, gonna have to try it. My dad always talks about the toy he had with the ejector seat, had to be one of his favorite toys
great work as always, those decals really make the interior pop. I can tell that it's taking a lot of effort to restrain yourself and keep the build OOB 😛lol. I think the idea of a project to spend time with the grandkids is great. I wouldn't worry about the minor issues with the kit, that's an opportunity to guide them through correcting the problem while you tell them how you figuratively walked uphill both ways to and from school as a 10 year old modeler. 😉😜
Thank you. I have to admit it is a lot harder than I thought it would be to just do an oob. LOL I think you are right. I think this will be a good learning experience for them.
Thank you. This dash is one that everyone can do just like this. Everything is prominent and easy to paint, and all the gauges are decals, and they go down very easy.
Awesome update Mark... I see your point, they will need a lot of adult supervision... See I know you would deviate from the plan... Lol Wow me and big words today... 🤪 LLAP 🖖
@@grandpamarkshobbies Hahaha damn phone auto correct... Should have been diverted from the plan... 🤪 I had to look that one up too... 😁 I know you were good with adult supervision... PHONES Maybe my phone don't talk southern Hoosier... 🤔 LLAP 🖖
Hey my Friend.. Just happened to come across this build , while watching your Rockford's Firebird build. But I had a Bond car that had the ejector seat . But I don't remember what i had to do for it to work.. And i think that it shot a rocket or something like that.. And i believe it had a bullet proof shield that you could pull up and tire spikes.. 👍 Man I'm getting old.. 😂🤣
@@grandpamarkshobbies Yeah , that's probably because there wasn't one.🤣😂 To be honest I'm not sure that's what it was. I just remembered something else that came out or shot out. I just don't know.. 👍
@@grandpamarkshobbies 😂🤣 Wow !! It's been years since I've seen one of these .. Other than the color , I'm pretty sure that's it .. The bullet shield , the ejector guy ( lost mine ) .. And what I thought was a rocket that came out , it was that front part.. I knew something popped out of it.. 👍 I appreciate you sharing this, thanks.. Make me want to see what old toys I can find from childhood.👍
I actually had the same exact problem with c6. Had to cut off that over mold lol and drill the hole deeper to get it to fit. Must be an issue on their production line
Do you know how hard it would be NOT to add the parking brake cables? Especially with the braided bead wire I got for the plumbing on the charger! That interior looks great!
I was going to build it exactly by the instructions, but instead of just painting it brown like the instructions have, I painted the brown light so black would show through, then I painted over that with the Clear Orange.
You knocked it out the ballpark with painting that steering wheel making it look like authentic wood grain. That’s amazing! Nice!
Thank you very much. I just couldn't leave it alone. LOL

Thank you. I had a good time making them. I just wish I had a good mic so it doesn't sound like I'm in a closet. LOL
Looking good for a snap kit ,interesting video, checking it out for the grand children
Thank you. It will end up looking fairly nice.
It looks like a well engineered model kit. You are doing a great job. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much.

No back calibers. Just noticed you didn't specify. Thanks great job never miss a new video.
Yes, there are no back calipers. Thank you very much.

Thank you. That clear orange is awesome for wood. I'll bet it was the same car I was thinking of.
Your doing a great job of detailing on that DB5 Mark,.
Thank you, I'm just following the directions.
Nice detail work, the dash and the steering wheel look fantastic.
Thank you.
Looking really good Mark, I think the steering wheel looks great.
Thank you very much.
Nice update, Mark. It looks great 👍
Thank you very much.
Great video Mark. Nice detailed kit. I just wish they would do a non- bond car.
They do a bunch of different VW busses.
Some great work
@@grandpamarkshobbies you should totally do a yellow Citroën 2CV

I saw that kit and may just put it on the list sometime.

I tried the LA Totally Awesome you recommended for stripping chrome today. Worked great in just a few hours. Thanks.
Thank you. It works for stripping paint too.
That is good to know. Thanks. I am building my first model in 55 years so I need all the help I can get. I am building the 007 1970 Galaxie
That 007 Galaxie kit is a fun kit to build I have an unboxing and a few build update videos on it. Have fun.
Looking good.
Thank you.
Looking sharp. Love the dash still struggling to get to your level on dashes.

I was so excited to be able to find a good picture of it. I didn't remember the guns out front. LOL Good memories.
Nice kit. Funny you mentioned the plastic feelibg"soft", as I have noticed kits molded in black seem to be a softer plastic🤷♂️
I don't remember doing any other kits molded in black except for the Cadillac, and that was a VERY old casting.
@@grandpamarkshobbies I don't remember the other(s), but I have an AMT 65 Vette that is molded in black and it does have a different feel to it. 🤔
I'll have to check what I have in the stash and see what I got.
In England we call it a “glove box”😂!
LOL. For some reason I thought it was something different until I looked it up.
Being a snap kit, It may be molded in HIPS (high impact polystyrene). HIPS has a different feel to it.
I'll bet you are right.

I didn't think it'd be that hard to stick to the instructions. LOL
Are Tamiya paints preferred over Testor's ......?....if so, why...? Thanks
I use Tamiya because it was available in my area, and it's acrylic. Back when I started using it Testors was only oil base.
