I asked Airfix about an SOE version of Lysander Jim, something along the line of the 1/72 old box art, I do hope it follows soon, be a shame if they miss that opportunity 👍
@TheScaleModeler Airfix has developed a pattern of releasingv3 versions of each new mold to maximize the cost over 3 versions -- i have all 3 Canberra kits. So I imagine that the army cooperation version was released to whetbour appetites, and the SOE version -- maybe with an all-black scheme -- will come out late next year.
Thanks for timely collection of modelling tidbits. There are lots of new kits coming iut and without your help it's hard to keep up with it all. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Jim, another great Sunday model review, Mini Art is certainly staying busy and that ICM He 111 with ground crew so tempting. Cockpit detailing is certainly getting better as well. 2025 is going to be a busy year. Plus I've seen several Telford videos, that looks like a huge show and had some very creative builders. Ironically I missed my first answer to your question, I had no idea Dubai had the QE2 . Raining in the colonies so I'm catching up on some building. As always thanks for all the effort, Happy Modeling Cheers Bob
Yes, I plan on visiting Telford next year but was unable to this year. Extreme talent at the show and should be a must-see if you're in a position too. MiniArt is certainly producing some goods; let's hope it's sustainable! And yes, it's been raining here in lovely Somerset as well. I've just finished the Airfix 1/72 Heinkel III, an okay kit but it's been in the stash for years and needed it out of the way. Take it easy
Great release video. I recently purchased one of Miniart M3 Stuart tank kits, w/o interior. I realy like their series of late german armored cars. I hope they get into the early war versions as well as Allied armored cars. Well back to the bench.
Thanks Bob, I just bought a Stuart as well, although not Miniart. Yes I'm quite partial to a german grey staff car myself. Icm do some cars, maybe something of interest there??
Ahhhhh..In this crazy orange world I needed to see this new kit line up..The new miniart puma looks nice as well as the dragon Sherman..I haven’t got anything by Dragon.Though I once date one once..That bunch of Soviet and German troops hand to hand fighting looks a sight and a special football hooligan addition should be next.! The Lysander is a must..Though still the Airfix critics cry on.!.Crying about Airfix is like a hobby within a hobby to some.. Great kit release review Jim and plenty to tempt us all there and it’s the way she jumps that does it.!✌️🥸👍
Yes, I really liked that Dragon kit as well; I loved the detail, especially on the metal barrels rifling as well as the hollowed-out guns. Kits are really coming on now. Yes, the fighting did look a bit like Milwall in the 80's. I just bought a second-hand Lysander after a year of more of shall I sharn't I. Anyway, at least it has photoetch and masks. So I won't be buying the Airfix one. Yes, she's a cracker for sure!

We need a new Landrover II & III, especially the SAS Pink Panther both in Omen and Gulf War
It would definitely be a good seller

Ah, a Sea King - I'll get one of those! Shame I cannot get my hands on a 48 scale Sea Stallion :/
