I love your video. I've wanted to boat and explore that area, ever since I read, "Voyage of the Stella," 40 years ago, and "The Curve of Time," more recently. I even own a Potter 15 of my own. Maybe I'll go take a cruise of my own. Thanks for doing the cruise, and posting the video.
Hi Water Trail. Always enjoyed your video. I just got a WWP15 earlier this year and maybe we can buddy boat next time when you come up to Canada next time:-)
+Jun Li thank you, I'll be doing another canada trip next summer, maybe gulf islands (has a little less rain), maybe with other WWP's also, I'll keep you posted.
@@mattcombe5430 The builder (Internat'l Marine) recommends the short shaft in their owners manual. It extends the perfect depth below the bottom of the boat, from the factory installed fixed mount.
How did you mount your oars. Is that an after market product you installed or did you build it yourself? I am attempting a similar set up and could really use some advice....
You're not alone, but I've never given measurements because there is no definitive reference point to measure from, everything is rounded. The oar side-sockets were mounted by the manufacturer, but are not found on the older models. You can get them here... www.westmarine.com/buy/west-marine--bronze-oarlocks-and-sockets--P010_302_005_512?recordNum=5 Get the long oars. Sit in the cockpit in front of the hatch and estimate the best place to mount the sockets. The 3 reasons to have a WWP15 instead of others: Trailerable, Beachable (flat bottom), and Rowable.

It's the perfect place for a Potter, lots of nooks only a small boat could anchor in.
I love your videos my friend, and a so EXTREMELY JEALOUS! I want a potter 15 soooo bad. One day my friend.....one day.
Really have enjoyed your vids. Hoping to start sailing in a month. Taking some classes at Sac. State. Exploring like you do is what i want to do.

Seems to be a lot more motoring than sailing.
Aaaaarrrrrr be fickle winds....!
Did you have to modify your motor Mount to use the short shaft motor?
I’m looking into getting an outboard for my potter 15

Good video I enjoyed watching it. Do you have a map of the route your sailboat took?
+Hindukush1234 thanks! Here's the map of waypoints from my SPOT tracker...
