The Skin is our largest organ so I think it's crazy that we unknowingly subject it to foreign chemicals. I recently started making my own body wash using all natural ingredients so I know exactly what goes into it, but it's also really fun because I get to switch up the smells using essential oils. Subscribe and like if you want to learn how to make your own natural body wash.
Natural Body wash Recipe:
Ingredients -
- ⅓ cup raw honey

- ⅓ cup melted coconut oil

- 15-20 drops essential oil:

- ¾ cup Castile soap. I recommend Dr. Bronner's:

Preparation -
I'm taking ⅓ cup of raw honey and mixing it in a measuring cup with ⅓ cup of melted coconut oil and 15-20 drops of essential oil, depending on how strong you want it to smell. I'm using sweet orange oil because i Love citrusy smells and it pairs really well with honey and coconut. I recommend Rose or Lavender for a more luxurious smell. For the Honey make sure that the label says "raw," "unpasteurized," or "unfiltered". Raw honey will gently remove dirt and impurities without stripping the skin of natural oils.
The coconut oil acts as Skin softener and has moisturizing effects that will help heal dry skin. Be sure to use extra virgin, organic oil. Make sure that the label doesn't say "hydrogenated, refined, or bleached" in any way. Next I'm slowly adding in ¾ cup of castile soap. I recommend the Dr. Bronner's Unscented Baby-Mild Castile Liquid Soap because it contains no fragrance and is and has olive oil. Castile soap will give this body wash that sudsi-ness. It's a natural soap that's made with vegetable oils. Now gently stir everything with a spoon and be careful not to whip too much air into it.
Finally I'm just going to pour the mixture into my glass soap dispenser and it's ready for my next wash. Give this Natural Body Wash a try and let me know what fragrance you'd choose. I'll see you on the next Natural Beauty. Bye!

Yeah I'm tired of those long videos with too much bla bla when they can just give the DIY ingredients in a two minute video.
Amazing, i used Sweet almond oil instead of coconut oil because coconut oil break me out and used Cinnamon, Sandalwood, Vanilla and Labdanum oil and i put little Sea Buckthorn oil to give it antioxidant effect and vitamin E oil to extend shelf life it smells divine, also you can use Tea tree oil it has antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effect

ive been trying so hard to find a body wash that doesnt use castile soap because you can just use the castile soap as body wash 😑
Actually Castile soap alone is too high a pH for the skin and hair by itself. So it's important to dilute it and add nourishing ingredients based on your skin type :)
@@lisamari79 As you've stated it is too harsh of a soap to use directly on your skin then what is a good alternative? I would like to not use this type of soap at all but it seems like every diy recipe includes Castile soap. I find that to be extremely odd since it's so harsh.
sapphiresky she said it’s a little harsh on it’s own but it’s fine when you dilute it..just like essential oils, those oils are pretty strong on their own but when you dilute them they are all good

Try a foaming soap dispenser, great for handwashing & shower , I make a big batch leave scent out until I fill dispenser ,leaves room for variety without any extra cost .

Recipe is great I make a larger batch with no essential oil until I am ready to use. A foamer bottle is great to use , instant lather just follow directions for filling it ( each manufacturer is different) then add the oils I want . It allows for lots of varieties, lavender for relaxation, add rosemary with lavender for muscle aches . Lemon & rosemary for focus in morning. When using citrus blends be cautious in sun , apply extra sunscreen. So many scents to choose from ,great recipe for clean healthy skin.

I tried this and I've been loving it! I read somewhere else that this can be used as a shampoo as well, but it was a bad idea. It left my hair greasy because of the coconut oil. As a body wash, its great! Thank you for sharing tis!

Just tried this morning. My skin felt so nice and healthy, and soft. I added 23 drops of essential oil though. And I could barely smell them. I smelt mainly honey (not a bad smell of course) but the rest got lost. I might need more like 40 drops of the essential oils. I am definitely continuing to use though. Very easy to make too.

Hello, Have you ever tried making a watermelon body wash? I was looking to mix the watermelon juice, castile soap, castor oil, vit e oil and coconut oil. Would this combo cause mold?

Thanks for the share. I have very sensitive skin after subjecting myself to many different chemicals over the years, so am getting more and more into making my own deodorants and soaps. At least I know what chemicals go in them then. Any ideas about what scents would be good for guys? Not that I mind smelling like a rose, per se, hehhehheh but there are these soaps out there that are like "musk" or "wilderness" scents for men and I'm trying to learn more about how to replicate them. I think I whipped in to much air. I used peppermint Castile soap and it was divine. I got some in my mouth when I was washing my face and it was sweet. no chemical taste or smell. Why didn't I try this sooner. Can this be used as shampoo as well?
