    Love your channel brother, it seems like it'd be a blast casting out with you, ever been to the North West, Spring/Tomball area? Spring creek has some great channel and blue catfishing, and prime White Bass, they're in the spawn after all!

    Many years ago I saw a fishing show (on tv) about a guy that fly-fished for huge carp, with niblet corn, and it ruined me. I spent 20 years landlocked in Austin, and I had several inner-city spots that were minutes from home. 6lb test and tiny, Texas-rigged, ringworms, or 1/16 Roadrunners. Never failed to entertain and frequently had people yell "ain't no fish in there!" at me while reeling in a bass!

    • @wildlifefishingshow

      I've never caught a common more than about ten pounds, but I do believe the common fight harder. They go on more runs and run longer.

      Smaller ones, sure, but anything over 5 lbs or so is a waste of resource, imho, to use as bait.
      I make carp “steaks” out of some 3-5 lb carp from A Story Park to use for alligator gar bait... worked great!

    • @brian1204
      @brian1204 5 лет назад

      Nice grasser!
      We’ve caught some about that size in lower Brays Bayou, too.
      Btw, have you fished Sims Bayou?
      My first ever blue cat came on a hotdog at i-45, and Charles Milby Park off 225 looks good. Better with company, though; some rather dodgy characters down there!😲

    • @dfauber59

    Reading the first bite,knowing your gear and just sure trickery is so rewarding to yourself. I’m sure you already know this now.
    Hey if you don’t mind the gators ,load up a kayak and hit the Sheldon reservoir,bass,crappie,catfish heaven ,these fish are fat. Launch from the ramp closest to old hey 90,it won’t disappoint.

I am sure more the 95% of european carpfishermen relaese theire carp again so they grow bigger. This is 1of the reasons we have bigger carp. Carp is for europa the same as bass is for the USA.
