- For those unicorn H&K fans, here is a quick video of the differences in the MP7 series models currently on display in H&K's Gray Room in Columbus, GA. These weapons will also be showcased un the upcoming Vickers Guide H&K Book Volume 2.

Unit guy…we tried mp7 in Iraq…just not lethal enough…shots had to be in the threaded into the boiler room for effect…great show …cheers

@@bryanwiedeman3154 A retired SAS guy I briefly worked with was doing a lot of training and advisory work in Bahrain. One of the Bahrainis ND'd with an MP7 into his buddy sitting next to him on a truck. They had to pull him off the offender as he was laying a can of whoopass into him.
I would love the MP7 if it was chambered in 7.62x25 Tokarev. That would be an ideal CQB/Anti-Terrorist plainclothes blaster.

AAC also produced a dedicated suppressor for SOCOM/JSOC’s MP7s. It required its own flash hider instead of mounting on the standard MP7 birdcage like the B&T does.

Norwegian company A-Tec also makes an MP7 specific suppressor.

I wish H&K would put together a strong civilian product team. Had they rolled out, marketed and sold the mp7 to civies the profit could have been used for them R&D even more insanely cool stuff. Why do they hate civilian market!? 😢
They don’t hate the civilian market, it just isn’t their priority. They continue to be running production day in and day out to keep up with their focus, military and LE contracts. H&K fans on the commercial side should be thankful for what we do have.
@@teufelshundtactical you’re right we should. But I guess the capitalist in me sees this opportunity for growth and people including myself spending HK money on subpar stuff time and time again because I’m only now seeing SP5s and Mr556 after wasting money elsewhere. Also PSA showing a prototype mp7 at showshow and everyone losing their mind is proof there’s a market. Build some of that side of the business.
Superb as always!!! Isn't the original MP7's barrel shorter and not threaded for suppressed use? I always wondered how a suppressor was used on the version pictured on cover of the original 2000 HK history book

@@teufelshundtactical Only I don’t quite understand why this cover is, because the MP7 is a very reliable weapon, why, I still understand such a detail on the M16 / M4 platforms.
@@alekszanuzdaev8115 When the operators would insert and extract via helicopter, lots of sand gets blown around. This is a simple way to prevent it from getting in the action.
