Same experience. After five months, mine wouldn’t stay engaged during hard out of the saddle efforts. I wanted to like them, and the .1mm lower profile made them feel like a more solid engagement until they wore.
If you get Ti cleats use the steel screws. Ditto for seatpost binder clamp. There's a lot of pulling there and steel has double the modulus of elasticity of Ti. Ti screws for stem, brake levers, axle nuts and even crankarms, etc is just fine.
I run the Silca Ti derailleur hanger on my road bike which has an 11-speed Ultegra manual setup on it. I can definitely tell the difference in shifting precision since I am on a mechanical setup. Definitely a worthwhile investment.
Titanium is softer and has a significantly lower tensile strength than steel. Seen a few ti chains back in the day (they were up to 300 $ a piece) and all of them broke after less than 1000 km (620 miles). A chain is where Ti makes absolutely no sense, don't buy!
I’m thinking there’s a reason YBN stopped after 11s, and no one else has jumped in with ti chains that I could find… prob to soft/weak, esp for bikepacking… that said, if I could find one, I’d test a 12s… why not :) ride on!
Another spd compatible pedal is the Xpedo M-Force 8 ($285) with a titanium body and axle. Mine weigh 215 gr for the pair. The oem cartridge bearings corroded rather quickly but I replaced them with Enduro bearings and now they spin like a dream.
@9:10 you said the spindle and body of the corki flat pedal was made out of Ti. That is in correct "The internal spindle is made of lightweight titanium alloy making the pedals durable and strong, while still being easy to handle on the trails. The pedal flat platform is made of qualified aluminum "
Thanks for this- it appears Corki is being somewhat deceptive… they use “titanium” in the name of the pedals, and in marketing…I also read “material:titanium” under specs and “sealed titanium spindle” under features… fishy
I use Finish Line Ti Prep on all my ti bolts. My ti stem came with ti bolts, so it was essential there. You forgot ti washers. They are pretty common and come in lots of colors.
I love titanium, one concern I would have is if it’s sourced from Russia? I know in the past they were the major source. If there is another, it would be great to know.
After seeing a titanium comb, not much can surprise me Love this jewelry, trying to be reasonable with purchases these days tho Budget very light hardtails (Ti?) that’s on my list for months now
3:23 Ti derailleur hangers? WTF? The only reason they (derailleur hangers) exist is to help absorb the impact force from the (expensive) derailleur to itself -- a dollar-priced detail; to be the weakest link in the chain and the first one (and only one) to bend/break. Making it from dense and tough material, making it expensive -- it's not just plain marketing for illiterate idiots who missed their 5th grade chemistry lessons, but a harmful and potentially dangerous practice. That's why bike manufacturers stopped (almost, except those leisure and city bikes, where the damage is minimized) fitting derailleurs directly to the frames, but now use soft and light aluminum hangers. 2:10 Ti cleats save you -75 dollars compared to regular ones plus they damage the cleat lock of the pedal: once again, the purpose here is to use a cheap, replaceable part that wears out much faster than the expensive components it connects. but this might be irrelevant, if you are super-duper-mega pro who kicks Lance Armstrong's butt every day on the race track.
Well that was easy . In the first 30 seconds of the products list it becomes obvious that one would be wasting their money on such nonsense . Unsubscribed
All I see here in this video are yet more companies whose sole aim is to get rich quick. Over the top hype with pricing to match. Almost pointless products that are not worth a tenth of the asking price, imo. The cycling industry is infested with such products..bikes, components, clothing etc. You-tube channels that serve as the sales/marketing team for these companies without ever addressing the issue of price, compatability, durability etc. do nothing to assist the majority of cyclists.
I bought the spd version of Silca's TI cleats. They wore out in less than 8 months. YMMV.
so more of a race day thing.
OEM SPD cleats last forever unlike that other brand that makes brass cleats 🙄
Same experience. After five months, mine wouldn’t stay engaged during hard out of the saddle efforts. I wanted to like them, and the .1mm lower profile made them feel like a more solid engagement until they wore.
TBH, titanium valve caps make more sense than titanium cleats 😉.
Thanks for watching and sharing your experience!

I love Ti. ...the look of it! the taste of it. the smell of it. the texture!
🤣🤣 thanks for watching and commenting !
Loving the titanium parts but i never understood painting titanium. I think the silver color cant be beat. Great video 👍
Yeah, the raw silver is definitely classic! Thanks for watching :)
Not painted its anodized .

Have you noticed your videos are shifting from adventures to fancy stuff? 😂
Im getting old!
@@DirtyTeethMTB At least we never lose the spirit of adventure!!
A titanium chain is interesting, especially for bikepacking
No more rusty chain
It might be worth the cost - do you fancy doing a review?

Once again: thank you for your vids. Besides the blink factor, a ti seatpost was the comfort changer for me.
Thanks for sharing! Ride on :)
Wow so many things I didn't know I needed! Awesome vid!
Haha ! Glad you liked it! Ride on!
Great list of Ti upgrades to consider. Thanks!
Thanks for watching - ride on!
The titanium cleats are totally worth it! I can attest that after several thousand miles, mine still look brand new. Great wear-life.
Thanks for watching and sharing your experience!
My Mukluk is blinged with Better bolts after the sram bolts rusted out. OneUp Oil slick pedals match amazingly
Yummy! 😋 thanks for sharing :)
Missed the Roost Ti bars that are super compliant, probably the singular Ti upgrade that actually makes sense
Thanks for chiming in :) I mentioned ti bars, but not Roost specifically - ride on!
Great list! I always use Ti bolts - nothing I hate more than rust in the heads of stock ones! Oh, and I watched your tool bag video :)
Thanks for watching and chiming in-ride on!

Yowza that stem caught my eye! 400 big ones is pretty steep but it sure looks sweet
Yowza is right! 🤣 thanks for watching and chiming in 🤙

Good call- thanks for chiming in 🤙

Russia or China, that's it.
I think bike industry is mostly China… but can’t say for sure
@ after doing a quick search, it seems Russia is no longer the only source. China & other countries mine titanium.
I'm on my way to watch your travel tool loadout video, seems I missed it.
Thanks!!
After seeing a titanium comb, not much can surprise me

Time to get on that trainer and loose the dad bod. Some real gainz there
I love how you picked a video on ti accessories to body shame 🤣🤣 thanks for checking me out, ride on!
Are you even cycling if you don’t have a White Industries hub with a titanium freehub body???
🤣 good point!
Titanium through axles? Titanium rail saddles?
Thanks for chiming in :) Ride on!
I watched the tool kit video
🤣🤣 you’re the best!!
Stiffer derailleur hangers, there must absolutely zero differences between standard hangers.
Thanks for sharing :)
Slavered a little at the crank and chainring part.
🤣🤣
I know you are wearing a Berd hat but you forgot to mention Ti spokes.
Thanks for adding ti spokes to the list :) ride on !
I think that regular CB cleats are made softer than pedal not to wear it...
Interesting… thanks for sharing :)
Well now I have to go shopping. Don’t tell my wife. 🤫
🤣🤣
Why do you want a trowel with serated edges?
Helps cut into soil with lots of small roots
To really get the poo off.
😮
🤣
💯
As Morgan said, can help with small roots
nice my bolts its oldist
Thanks for watching :)
4:59 Thats what she said. 😅
🤣🤣
Titanium Water Bottles are a thing
Thanks for sharing 🤙
Don't need anything on this list? I don't need that kind of negativity in my life man.😂
Haha!! You’re right, gotta keep it positive! 🍻
If I need metal, there needs to be a good reason to _not_ use titanium. Cost is usually not one of them.
Thanks for chiming in :) ride on!
the 3d printed parts arent even finished, looks like it just came out of the printer
Thanks for watching and commenting :)
if your BMI ( I know its bad marker for fatties but its a start point right ) is too high, titanium gadgets won't help.
🤣🤣 dang it !
"increases corrosion resistance"? Ti corrodes? Since when? #MarketingBS
Thanks for chiming in :)
