- Hey everyone!! Today I’m going more in depth with my technique of easy realistic doll repaints. I go step by step on how I change retro or regular Barbie doll faces into more life like ones. Let me know if you like how the doll looks better after or before. Everyone has their own preferences! My method uses acrylic paint and mod podge which may not be the most durable option, but it is definitely very affordable and easy to do! Personally I’ve had no problems with this mod mod method! Anyways, hope you enjoy!

When do I post?
I post every Saturday at 11:00am ET (8:00am PT, 9:00am MT, 10:00am CT) and if for some reason I'm not able to post at that exact time or day for a particular week, I'll make sure to let you know ahead of time on my Community Tab or Stories. To anyone who tries this: keep your acrylic paint from getting chunky, add a tiny bit of water, like the smallest amount before painting it on the doll. Then do light layers to build up the color, i learned this by trial and error.

Can I just say as someone who really wants to try barbie repaints, but is terrified of doing a full repaint. You definitely make this seem much easier than others I've seen, and the mod podge mixed with the paint/using toothpicks is a game changer for me. I've only customized one doll but it was a bit chunky and felt defeated about doll customization but now it seems I will give it another go,...so next time I will try it your way. Thank you :D

Omg! The doll looks so pretty now, not that she didn’t look pretty before. I have an older Barbie, and I was trying to clean her face with water, and most of her lipstick came clean OFF!
