- Mourning Sun is definitely a must-have album for all Goth fans. In my opinion, it achieved the ideal balance of metal elements and gothic sound, in this hellish storm that McCoy created. Shroud is the perfect intro. Develops slowly a monumental atmosphere, full of agony, leaving you stunned at the first hearing! The poetic lyrics drag you down to a whole new perception of the angelic rebellion. Straight To The Light is a silver bullet right between the eyes. Heavy guitar work with an intense electric sounding, instantly grab your attention. Carl McCoy proved that Fields Of The Nephilim is a timeless band that can satisfy even the non-fans.
