It's not just you tk, this ride was absolutely amazing. Such much of the ride was hand made with pride and not just all rendered. Pleeeeeease bring it back, we all miss it so much
Being the big BTTF fan that I've always been since before I can remember, riding this when I was a kid is one of my top 3 favorite memories. RIP BTTF: The Ride, hopefully a new & improved replacement will be created!
With all the classics making a big comeback, rumour has it that a sequel ride is on it's way! That would be amazing and would certainly show Disneys Star Wars ride who's boss ;-)
Yeah, I've heard about that. It really shows how big the actual set must have been. About that 70mm print...the version on the SE dvd release cuts out almost 60% of the image so finding a full frame high quality version is definitely something I'm interested in. (The laserdisc master would even work) We should talk...

@NverEnoughDeathMetal They took the Back To The Future ride down because it was becoming less popular among park go-ers, so it's not their fault, really. I would rather build a new ride than blindly hope it suddenly becomes popular again. They've got to make money, it's smart. But alas, I miss that ride. Still, got the films, and it's soon to be 2015! Can't wait to get some self lacing shoes and a hover board!
They still kept the ride in Japan opened in Japan to this very exact day ever since March 31st of 2001, but they decided to close down the rides at Universal Studios in Orlando in Florida on March 30th of 2007 and in Hollywood in California on September 3rd of 2007? that is just plain rediculous. Back To The Future is still popular with many fans out there to this very exact day. i don't mean to sound crude, but i wonder who the idiot was who decided the approval to have the Back To The Future rides closed down to be replaced for The Simpsons rides. why even close down the rides if Back To The Future is still popular to many fans out there to this very exact day? if i were the manager or whoever it is in charge who runs the Universal Studios parks in Orlando in Florida and in Hollywood in California, i would have had the Back To The Future rides still opened for the many fans out there to this very exact day and never ever would've had the Back To The Future rides closed down to be replaced for The Simpsons rides!
i remember this ride it was great and when i came back to universal expecting to ride it again as well the king kong tour.Nope both were scrapped one by fire and the other for another attraction the simpson. not saying the simpsons isnt great but doesnt that same umf that BTTF ride had
What good would that do? Christopher Lloyd will probably have died by then, and all the other members of the cast of the Back to the Future trilogy still alive now will probably retire or die by then too.
Why would hey replace this with The Simpsons? I've been on both, and grew up with the Back to the Future ride along with countless others. I've been on The Simpsons ride, and I have to say, I'm disappointed. (Spider-Man is my favorite ride)
I when on the simpsons ride 3 weeks ago and im not going the simpson ride because i am not thier fan anymore after what they did to back to the future.
Hands down one of the best motion rides ever made.

When they celebrate 50 years of Back to the Future, Universal better rebuild it.
is it me, or are these old special effects on these old rides much better than newer rides?
Yes, I know that. I was saying that the ride will never come back in the USA.
Douglas Trumbull is a L E G E N D
nice clip
This can't be the only video
I seriously wonder where that set is now. Maybe in some warehouse or something.
Universal Orlando should bring Back to the future ride back with new technology.
it was next to a foot and a half tall mini.

What happens when we actually reach the year 2015?
It only exists at USJ along with JAWS which also only exists at USJ
Where is that huge model of 2015
"Please excuse the crudity of this model."
Was it that hard not to mess up the audio?
That's what she said
What good would that do? Christopher Lloyd will probably have died by then, and all the other members of the cast of the Back to the Future trilogy still alive now will probably retire or die by then too.
