Getting back was only the beginning as the most spectacular time-travel adventure ever continues in Back to the Future Part II - the sequel that proves that lightning can strike twice! Picking up precisely where they left off, Marty and Doc (Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd) launch themselves to the year 2015 to fine-tune the future and inadvertently disrupt the space-time continuum. Now, their only chance to fix the present is by going back to 1955 all over again before it is too late. From the Academy Award-winning filmmakers Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis, Back to the Future Part II proves true excitement is timeless.

Thomas F Wilson never gets enough credit for playing the same character (Biff) across multiple generations, and always in slightly different ways. Good actor who never found a career outside of this trilogy. And of course Michael J Fox is superb, both as a comic actor and as a dramatic actor
Fun fact: Thomas Wilson became a voice actor in SpongeBob playing various characters. He voiced flatts the flounde, SpongeBob’s Bully and the Tattletell Stranger
He made a career mostly as a voice actor but yeah, his roles in the trilogy were superb, he's the quintessential bully archetype and he's legendary, plus his acting is on point, wish he could have made another iconic role in some other movie.
Marty Jr is different than his father he is more like a push over like his grandfather George Mc Fly
Yeah it is a shame, I always liked him in these movies. Worth noting he was also "Maniac" in Wing Commander III and IV! As a kid I actually saw him in Wing Commander III before is saw him in Back to the Future so it was super weird XD
Thomas wilson also was on DCs Legends of tomorrow
This was one of the most iconic scenes in the franchise.
I love how when Marty is in the water you can clearly see a few cops just watching him at the town hall as he’s literally about to get assaulted 😂
@slapshotjack9806 I agree, that was weird where they could have said, "you on the Pitt Bull, stop right there" while pointing guns at him and then they say, "you on the hoverboard, grab this rope and we'll pull you forward" and after bringing Marty out of the water, they could have said to Griff "come forward" and then tell him to drop the bat to arrest him and his friends.
Accurate. He's in California.
It's more realistic honestly lol
I guess they thought it was a case of kids being kids, and that Marty was in on it. He didn’t exactly cry for help or anything.
For an 80s movie, these effects still look SO GOOD.
This movie got ALL the money to be made.
Any cases they missed the point Hover board it doesn’t exist. 🤦🏻 I wish we have the technology like that
@@h.plovecraftn-4307 in the 80's you'd have thought by now they'd at least have a Hoverboard, darn we should have Pitbulls
0:45 Marty took "never let them know your move" to next level 😂
The enemy can’t know what you’re doing if you don’t know what you’re doing
@@ProfessionalDriver101the enemy has been Griff, 1955 Biff, alternate 1985 Biff, and 1885 Mad dog Tannen. And original 1985 Biff of early Bttf 1. Just not new 1985 Biff of end of Bttf 1, he was the only nice Biff
I love how Marty just adapts to whatever the situation is at a moment’s notice. 😎👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I'm sure we all know this, but when the gang flies to over the courthouse, you can see the female gang member hit the column of the courthouse before going through the glass. This wasn't supposed to happen and that stunt woman got seriously injured.
Back to the future trilogy is my fave of all time and part 2 is still my fave. During college I watched the movie so much I memorized it.
I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for that little nugget of info that I never knew!
She also got married and had a kid with her first husband. They subsequently divorced, and both got remarried, but to other people. Apparently as of couple of years ago, she contacted her ex and claimed wanting to speak to him in person to discuss how they were going to pay for their daughter's college tuition, at which point, she and her husband drove up to his house in Ohio from theirs in North Carolina. At that point, she and her SO setup a couple of wireless cameras that fed a video to their laptop, and waited for the ex husband and his wife to come home. As soon as they showed up, her husband walked up to the car, shot at them at point blank range and somehow missed. The ex husband exited the car, returned fire and killed him. The stunt double lady then came in to try to finish the job, and was also killed. Both deaths were ruled as self defense/justifiable homicide. Very bizarre and tragic ending for the stunt double lady, especially considering she had an active career as a stunt double.
@@ProfessionalDriver101 now that’s an interesting yet odd story! Thank you so much for that info….

I’m glad they’ll probably never remake/reboot these films! They were perfect! There’s no need!
Not until the bobs are dead, at least. They've said there's a clause in their contracts that no sequels or reboots without their blessings or before they're dead
Hi :)
they are NOT perfect. they are great but they have lots of mistakes..like in this scene why didn't Doc keep Jennifer safe with him in the car instead of leaving her in a alone in a dangerous alley ?
@@octoman511 By that definition the whole trilogy is a mistake as it's all fiction.

I love how the moral of the story from the first BTTF to the second, is to stand up for yourself but in the third one, Marty learns to know when to walk away from one

The first movie is one of my favorite movies of all time and the 2 sequels are also a blast to watch again and again, I just hope they keep the franchise like this and never start going Disney on it with remakes, reboots or unnecessary sequels.
I don't see yet the feminist version like Terminator, Stargate and Star Wars. BttF is incomplete without a feminist like beginning of the 2nd millennium movie.

I think people don't give Marty the credit he deserves. Guy is a major freaking badass that can pull his weight through mostly every situation that he encounters. He's pretty much the ace in almost everything he does (music, throwing hands, arcade skills, skateboarding, proficient with guns, etc). In this scene, we can also see how quickly he mastered how to ride a hoverboard. I even believe that he could've either killed or seriously injure Bufford, in the past, with his gun skills but decided not to, in order to not screw with the timeline. Sure, he may have some flaws here and there (lazy and short tempered), but at the end, he proved to be able to get over them.
You've though about this far too much. So I think you're great.
Marty has like a mastery over the physical realm while doc has like a mastery over the mental realm. They make a great team!
@@HDQuakelive Brother Dave had a mastery over the fast food realm as well as some kind of office job realm in an alternative reality so it's clearly genetic.

In the original script after Marty says, "Hey Doc, I'm all for that. What's wrong with making a few bucks on the side?" and Doc replies, "Because the risks far outweigh the potential rewards."
Doc may be a mad scientist, but he’s very wise and he’s very smart.
That hoverboard is a light board with two "antigravity magnets" and it works passively. Amazing!
Weird to say this but back when movies were fun, entertaining, family friendly and one could understand every word spoken because the actors would enunciate. Happier times.
You can reminisce about past movies and pop culture without needing to rip on how things are now.
sure, but part of the enjoyment is the appreciation of the fact that this was a golden age that will likely never be repeated. @@HutchIsOnYT
you clearly are not a fan of pixar movies
90% of 80ies movies were not family friendly. That is why BTTF nearly wasn’t produced it was turned down because it was too soft by multiple companies. In every decade there is a lot of rubbish being produced and some really good stuff that stands the test of time. Which are the things we remember. So it is a bias.
@@HutchIsOnYT We rip them, because most movies do deserve to ripped apart due their lack of quality (even if they're modern)

The perspective still seems incredible to me, even now it ends up surprising me how incredible it is in this 2023 it is a kind of alternative retro future.
Teniendo en cuenta que ahora volvieron muchas cosas de los 80s
I remember as a kid when they filmed the 3rd part and then they filmed the second because it longer because of the futuristic plot. Took so long and was dieing to see the second for it to be released. Man it was all worth it.
I like that Doc gets to fly the time machine out in the open here. Nothing weird about it in 2015
here's some Behind-the-Scenes facts for this scene:
-most of the footage that had Michael J above the knees was achieved by having him ride a ordinary skateboard on pads of plywood
-a platform dolly was also used for some scenes to make the ride smoother
-Director Robert Zemeckes had a special harness to make the actors "Fly" while being supported by a industrial crane
-Finally a combination of unique camera rigs along with physical and optical effects bring all the effects together to make the hoverboards actually "Fly"
+anyone getting Deja Vu to the skateboard chase back in the First BTTF/1955?

he comes back to today, 2024, sees WW3, an almost civil war, a meal costs 25 bucks, gas is higher than it was on many apocalyptic films. damn i want the 90's again
I want the ‘80s, but yeah.
4:13 The girl probably feels like a million bucks because the "Pit Bull" Hoverboard is a better-performing board, and she was overjoyed to have it fall in her hands. Now that I'm older and wiser than when this movie came out, I get the impression that the girl's hoverboard that Marty used was made with feminine colors, so it's really for a girl, and the Pit Bull was really a more masculine board, being black in color. I guess the girl didn't care. I find it cool how they had the guys hooked up on the back of the main part of the Pit Bull setup. It's like they are water skiing, or maybe I should call it "air skiing."
I think it's a little column A little column B. Badass looking board and it's just a better board.
No matter the colors or graphics, Pit Bull is the best Hoverboard ever fictionally made.

@@vitorsiqueira2276 That is so interesting! I wonder why they didn't stay with calling it a Mad Dog.
It's been 9 years and I'm still waiting to receive that hoverboard.
Look at Docs shirt, a train and cowboys on horseback. If you closely pay attention the movies have some easter eggs that imply we have been in more time loops than the movies may make us think. Even some of the logic errors could be explained if you pay close attention.

Still the best movie after all these years
3:07 I love how there's literally cops just watching this occur. Like they have no problem with Griff trying to hit someone with a bat, but breaking the window is where they draw the line.
Griff tried, but failed to hit Marty with his bat three different times.
First time he missed he accidentally destroyed the TV, electrocuting himself in the process. Second, he smashed one of the tail lights on the back of his own car, and the third was when Marty jumped into the pond just before Griff and his gang flew out of control on their hoverboards into the clock tower.
