@@popcornroulettereactionsAcross Chapter 1 and 2 John’s body count is a high 128 kills, and it’s only going to keep growing in Chapter 3 and 4. I won’t say the total number until we’ve gotten through Chapter 4. 😎
Two theories: 1. he shot her in the head to be counted on him (that he furfilled his job). 2. he shot her right before she died, in order to keep her soul undoomed (to not be a suicide).
Coby, they just keep getting better. Trust me. BTW Johns body count in chapter 1 - 77 chapter 2 -128.Enjoyed your reaction again. One small thing. I had to turn my volume up to a level where you were basically screaming and still couldn't hear most of the movie. Just FYI. Looking forward to watching you watch chapter 3.
John Wick kills 77 characters in the first movie, John Wick (2014), 128 in John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017), 94 in John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019), and 140 in John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023), for a total of 439 kills across the four movies.
I think you're confusing "dated" with "mainstream." The first couple of John Wick movies were guys movies, but after the series went mainstream with 3 and 4, everyone claims they were a fan all along.
The damage to his favorite car in retrieving it was not the point. The point was, if you take his car, he will come and get it, regardless of the outcome. It's the principle.
They're not cutting him out at the end, those orders that were going out were to every single agent and person involved in that world that he is now a bounty to be obtained. So anyone can now kill him in an hour. Winston gave him that extra hour due to their past history, being able to hold off in sending out that order shows the immense power he holds in that world
You talked over some of the best dialogue in the movie. Two great lines between 38:00 and 39:00. Hopefully you caught them in the edit. Oh, that's right. You don't edit these yourself.
He didn't kill the girl in the last movie coz it is against the rules of the Contiental. He respects the institution and it had nothing to do with the fact that she was a woman. She however was stupid enough to kill Henry for which she was punished.
Everyone knows John Wick due to his legendary reputation as a highly skilled and deadly assassin within the criminal underworld. His efficiency in eliminating targets, the stories and legends surrounding him, and the respect mixed with fear that others have for him contribute to his widespread recognition. Moreover, his involvement in high-profile assignments and intense, public confrontations further solidify his notoriety in the world. That's why Its so hard for him to blend in the world of assassins.
Technically you’re supposed to be watching for the commentary, not the movie. If you want to watch the whole movie with Coby we recommend doing the Full Watch Along over on our Patreon where you can sync up your copy of the movie to her complete reaction.
I saw this in a cinema in Sydney where the first movie didn’t have a theatrical release & felt like I was probably one of the only people in the session who knew what the go was.
I really hate the verbal “recap” at the beginning of the film, but I hadn’t considered there being any sizable population of people who hadn’t seen the first but were watching the second.
Don't worry about doing a body count that's what we are here for in this film john killed a total of 128 people the first film he killed 84 so that brings his kill count total to 212 kills in 2 movies
I don't wanna spoil anything here, but you ask an important question about the ex-communicado. I know that this is only the second, but I would like for you to remember Winstons last words in the series :) That will give you the clue needed :)
He gave John an hour before he excommunicated him. And he is no longer able to use any of the services in connection to the continental. Services like the tailor, the weapons dealer, the doctor in the first film or the guy who leads the group of homeless people. And yes John’s bounty is now up to 14 million. Even his gold coins will be useless but a token/ ticket like the one santino presented to John supersedes a excommunication
Three is my favorite. Although ALL the others are outstanding. Including number 4. Which is totally insane. There are rumors of a number 5 also. Great reaction. As we say in Texas; y'all be safe.
Kobe (please correct me if needed), I like your reactions: attention to detail, understanding, predictions, and references to date, but the fact you drew parallels to "The Usual Suspects", one of my top 10 movies, knocked my socks off 😯😎 Subscribed and following from New Zealand. Common is the black guy assassin. Got his start doing electronica rap. Was in one of the greatest cult classic movies of all time...LOADED with hitmen, Smokin Aces! The older hitman? The 60s original Django and in Tarantino's movie, Django! And in Force ten from Navarrone with Harrison Ford and Robert Shaw!!!!😮😮😮 And yes, Matrix guy is back!
You’ve seen all 4 movies so I’m not spoiling anything; but the total # of kills is over 400. That’s an average of 100+ kills per movie, baby. The lowest # of kills is the 3rd movie, which surprised me, and the highest # of kills is in chapter 4.
when you talking about the attacking and they should all attack at once.. would you Run towards someone as deadly as john wick ? or would you try and wait for him to be reloading or try to come from the side or his back ? lol that is why the dont attack at once they are scared of him. still love the fact he did REAL training for the action parts.
Coby you already know the answer to your question. Because if they all attacked him at once, the movie would end. This applies to all fight scenes in all movies. No one wants to see a quick 10 minute move. :)
24:02 John puts down 128 in this movie. A one hour head start for john to sort out what he's going to do without any assistance from the "underworld" (the "excommunicado" part).
Wick didn't kill Perkins in the hotel because he didn't want to violate the rules, even though he probably would have been forgiven because it was in self-defense.
In all 4 movies John had killed a total of 439 people ever. Part 1 it was 77, 128 in 2, 94 in 3, 140 in 4 which tops out at 439 if u do the math right.
He didn't spare her in the first movie because of who she was or that she was a woman. No business is to be conducted on Continental grounds. Had he killed her, he would have suffered the same fate she did. As for the head shots, it's not that they're that bad. He's just that good.
Something I’ve noticed from watching reactions to this movie. (After Viggo talks about killing three men in a bar in the 1st movie): “I hope they show this!” (After seeing John use the pencil in this movie): “OH GOD!!!! WHY DID I HAVE TO SEE THAT?”
The reason no one shoots anybody in the heas is cause you train as a shooter to aim for center mass cause its the largest part of the body compared to the head, and when your moving around even the most skilled marksman would have difficulty hitting the head(not impossible, but very very difficult).
Keanu Reeves messed up his knees in this movie if I remember correctly because of doing most of his stunts, the knee injuries are from getting hit by the cars.
3:02 : This actor was also in Prison Break and the role of power was exchange between Keanu and this actor in Constantine (A really good DC comic movie).
What is she talking about it wasn't John who started destroying the car but once it was hit and needed to defend himself why wouldn't he use the car as a defensive and offensive wepon
As a New Yorker I can assure you that most train stations and sub way stations are not covered in graffiti. Maybe if you’re watching a movie from the 70s or 80s
In the first movie he let those go that gave him some kind of information remember when he had the gun to her head he almost begged her to give him something which she did.
I'm thrilled that you immediately understood the true reason why John's house burning down was a tragedy (i.e. all the mementos of his wife) rather than just a financial loss. Truly unforgivable.
Although it worked in the first film, mainly because it was SOOO crucial to the plot and the motivation for all of the events of the film, the killing of the puppy was an incredibly risky move by the makers of this movie. Killing animals in film is probably one of the easiest ways to ensure it fails unless it is ABSOLUTELY critical to the film. They would NEVER risk that being the motivation of more of John Wick's violence mainly because it would fail simply because people don't like that even when it IS crucial to the plot. OMG I almost choked laughing when you were so worried John would "smash it up" as he began driving his car smashing into one of the gangsters after he'd broken into the warehouse at the beginning knowing what he was about to do...🤣🤣🤣

John let her go into unconscious before killing her because they were friends in the past, but he had to shoot her as proof that he did the job.

He shot the sister in the head just before she died to "save her soul". Instead of letting her die by suicide.

Hmmm, kinda surprised u did 2, didn't think u were a huge fan of 1!
I haven't heard the word "chit" since I was in the Air Force in the 80s. 😮
He shot the sister after she cut her wrists, as she is a catholic, to stop her from going to hell. It was actually a kindness.
everyone attacks at once in a small area they get gunned down by their own men.
If the bad guys come at him with too many people at once they would end up shooting each other
Weird audio, could barely even hear some moments. :/
