That new Magnus figure is something that I can definitely deal with right now.

They're called "Mushroom peg joints" and most figures not only have them, but Ultra Magnus has them, and they're far easier to use to pop the legs off than the actual gimmick.
The reason why ultra Magnus has those struts parts for his legs is because he can be pulled apart for "g1 accuracy" which I think is stupid and going to drag the figure down
The extra guns with Powerlinx Hot Shot reminds me primarily of the guns that came with Cybertron Downshift.
Interesting, I never had that thing so I didn't notice.

It looks like it's the exact same one.
The reason that the magnus has the comboners is because that way, you can imitate his "death" scene.
SS Blackout is about the same height as Megatron and Starscream in robot mode, it's when you unfold it into helicopter mode that it becomes giant.

I still need to complete the Terrorcon lineup, so of course I want Studio Series Nightbird (and yes, I also can notice that she looks similar to the mainline one).
Apparently the Armada Thrust as ER Seeker mold was apparently the packaging artist having fun and to not pay to much mind to it, according to one the designers. Which could mean either we are getting a ER seeker Armada Thrust or we aren’t but it’s likely the idea is being considered.
They used an Impossible Toys Tetrajet for Skywarp on the Nemesis box.

one small correction on Frenzy. He was actually one of the least appearing decepticons in G1. Rumble however was one of the most appearing. So you are indeed right that the G1 used FIRRIB for more screentime than any other media. Though it was Rumble pulling the majority of that weight.
That honour goes to Buzzsaw if we’re going for characters who appeared more than once. Overkill, Slugfest, Sixshot and Runabout all share the same position of only appearing once.

This SDCC had done much better than last year I feel more reveals and actual pre-orders went up, still a little annoyed that wave 4 of Evolution hadn’t gone up last week though. Armada Powerlinx Hot Shot & Jolt looks great to me, I know that I own the original release back in wave 1 but this is still something that I’d get. A little upset that Armada Thrust is potentially a slight retool of the ER seeker mould, just make him brand new!
Pretty much only 86 SS Ratchet and Ultra Magnus have peaked much interests in the upcoming wave, everything else is mid to me. Finally IDW Nova Prime looks so cool, might get him soon?
I didn't even remember that they did it at all last year. This year they definitely pulled out all the stops.

7:07 So from what I’ve heard, this Ultra Magnus will have the gimmick of being able to take off his limbs in order to mimic how he was blown up by Scourge and his Sweeps in the 86 movie.
But unlike the 86 Kup, who had pegs for that gimmick, the 86 Ultra Magnus will have those combiner ports so that the legs can actually lock in and thus won’t come undone so easily when you’re playing with the figure. Now I don’t know if the arms also have those combiner ports, but regardless those combiner ports are much more efficient for the “blown apart” gimmick than just pegs.
Nice video from you today, seems you are happy this one. Rodimus Unicronus is the prettiest figure here, the edge, he looks like his favorite Avenged Sevenfold album is Waking the Fallen. Also, ER Seeker mold is still good cope

Apparently the Nova Prime figure is not based on his IDW appearance but on his Devastation appearance.
I don't know how big the difference between the two is off the top of my head.
Yeah, I can see that. But I think that it was meant to be more for the ‘Pre-war’ Amazon exclusive line than it was the game?
@@PerspectiveEnddevastation nova prime's color scheme is white and black with his wings mostly grey, while IDW nova prime has white and blue color scheme, also IDW one looks more streamline than the devastation one

Having the bumblebee movie arcee as javlin makes it weird as she looks more like a prime character than the prime character themselves
Not the first time a non-Generations Arcee mold was used in Generations to make another character.
I do feel you on that, Javelin had a very different design in the comics, and all of them deserve better than just a Retool, but I will take a Retool if I have to.

The Shattered Glass Sideswipe colors are “correct” though to be clear
Since the original shattered glass Sideswipe was recolored from Armada Wheeljack since his silhouette resembled G1 Sideswipe to begin with

So in other words; it's not accurate to G1 toon Sideswipe (a straight up repaint/redeco of the Siege/Kingdom mold without any changes) instead of Armada Wheeljack, the toy and the repaint used as the basis for the original SG Sideswipe mold. Gotcha

I'm not sure if anyone's mention it or not, but at 2:31 , BMac (one of the design) did hint at during the panel we could be seeing I'm out of Wheeljack repainted from sg sideswipe. Now I don't know how much we should rely on that, but it's worth hoping for

That 86 Ratchet is what I've been waiting for. Just got 86 Ironhide recently from a toy con and that suddenly got announced. Glad I missed out on the Siege and ER molds. SG Sideswipe is cool and all, but I'll be waiting for that eventual Legacy Armada Universe Wheeljack repaint. I'm down for that new Ultra Magnus, glad I missed on the Siege and Kingdom molds too. Gonna wait for price drops and sales for them

I have Siege Ironhide in my collection, won't be selling him off anytime soon because I still like him.
For Magnus, I'd go for playability over G1 model accuracy. Siege's truck alt mode is a neat homage, but the Kingdom is no excuse; to me personally, it's plain garbage (just like ER Ironhide/Ratchet, forced Earth modes where it doesn't belong or fit).

If it’s any consolation, according to Evan, the Armada Thrust on the packaging was just put there for fun by the packaging team, and likely won’t be a real figure, just like the Whirl we saw on the Wreckers box.
I have never been happier to miss figures with menasor so now I’ll buy the box set and just keep my dragstrip and wild rider of to the side

To be fair with the SG Sideswipe/Armada Wheeljack, we're definitely getting it as Armada Wheeljack, this is just their usual pre-tool stuff so they can sell an extra figure before we get the one most people want.
I expect that to be the case, it just seems like a bit of a Troll.
Thrust is confirmed to not be a real figure, just artists having fun
GODDAMMIT! I literally just found a Hot Shot a few weeks ago randomly at a target more than a three hour drive from home, and now they go and announce Shotimus with extra stuff and Jolt. Except for the Seekers, I absolutely HATE collecting recolors, but dammit, I'm going to have to get this one

1: SG sideswipe was originally a armada wheeljack repaint, so that explains why hes the pretool...
2: some of the photo photography has broken figures, specifically novaprimes right horn, kaskades right arm, and the right leg of nightbirds fucked (more info on NB below)
3: toy breakdown comes with a alt head of his toy
4: ultramagnus comboners are for a death gimmick (like 86 kup)
5: i think if they are going to reissue 86 rumble in any way, they should swap the names just to mess with people ):]
6: 86 ratchet shoulders matches his core class figure appearence
7: the stranger things crossover figure is important for the plot of season 4
Overall an ok batch of reveals, i am hyped that minicons are back, and that 86 magnus looks decent...
*so nightbirds pins that allow ankle piviot and transformation joint are cracked and stressed, so beware for the final toys release...
Honestly, the movie Decepticon boxset is very appealing to me, as I have disproportionately Autobots lol. That Ultra Magnus is looking sick as well. Great job as always!!
Though it’s disappointing Brawl and Bonecrusher got left out.

The OG Shattered Glass Sideswipe did use the Armada Wheeljack mold so I’m sure this time it’ll just be repainted into Wheeljack later.

Rumble is a word that sounds very blunt, and blunt impacts cause bruises, which are bluish purple. Frenzy sounds sharper, and sharp impacts cause bleeding, and blood is red and can appear black when it dries
So Frenzy is Red, Rumble is Blue?

Nova Prime-B:Looks really cool
Stunticons pack-C+:ehhhhh I mean interesting toy color scheme
Nacelle-B-:The colors are appealing but the figure itself looks bland
86 Ultra Magnus-A:Finally an Ultra Magnus that's not the War for Cybertron mold and it looks great
86 Frenzy (the red one)-B-:The mold ain't very good

Nightbird-F:Wow making a figure by using a shitty mold of the same character
Live-action Decepticon pack-C+:ehhhhh Well it's an interesting way of getting these older figures

And those are my thoughts for all these figures, overall there are definitely some interesting ones. Also you forgot the figure Novokaine which is the Freezer with a battle damaged face so it doesn't matter.

Yeah, I kind of noticed that, but I just thought it was a stylistic decision.
When mpm bonecrusher was revealed, I realized that, other then ones I have, all of the other mpm decepticons are still readily available, so I've decided to make the great financial decision to get all the movie 1 decepticons Masterpiece figures, since now we just have to wait on brawl
as soon I saw the Magnus reveal, I thought "PerspectiveEnd is going to love this"

I agree with you on the Stranger Things Crossover. While I have seen season 4 and I do think this new van mold looks cool (my fingers are very crossed for a Turtle Van and/or Mystery Machine), but the figure doesn't really have much iconography to the Show aside from the Energon Weapons(?) being both of Steve's weapons.
It would've been cool if they had a somekind of Demogorgan (Maybe a remould of Cheetor that turns from Demogorgan to Demodog?). Better yet, maybe they could reuse the punch-counter punch mold, (based on Hopper's car or maybe Billy's cause they have the Camaro licence) and have the figure go from normal to an Upside Down version of itself?
Man why haven't they done a Bad Guy cross over yet?
one of the designers said about thrust on the powerlinx box, saying that it wont be a figure and was just a fun easter egg thrown in by the box designers

I really hope nightbird is going to have a case like the SS Mirage, where official photos made it look bad but in hand It'll look much better
I'll just say that I looked at the original Armada Wheeljack toy and that "other faction symbol" on the front of the car's hood is, in fact, there. And the way his autobot badge is "cut" is identical to Wheeljack's design as well. So this is just a pre-re-mold.
Yeah I was just flat out wrong about that. I looked back after this my self and I realized what I'd always kind of interpreted as a car Logo, like a Mazda M or something was actually a Con logo. So I was talking out my ass there a bit.
But when I'm wrong I don't shy away from it. I will leave it up there for people to mock me on.

That Commander Ultra Magnus figure looks amazing, I own both the Siege mould and the Kingdom mould via SG but this is definitely one I want!

Toyhax will definitely give you a lot of what you're wanting minus the red head part. I got the Ironhide sticker set and they did an amazing job with fixing those details
It's funny how Ratchet having a Red head is a big deal when the figure didn't even have a head.

The funny thing is that the High Moon games, which you utterly despise, are the only modern media that actually HAD Frenzy and Rumble in the correct colors, Frenzy was red and Rumble was blue. I guess that’s one win for them.
I don't despise those games. I just don't think they are very good. Only one level between the two really lived up to the concept.

I think the reason why some people like me prefer rumble as the red one because both start with R and frenzy is like a name who just sounds kinda blue

2:19 lmao for that armada thrust apparently the toys designers didn’t have him in plan, this was set up by the packaging team, to put it simply the packaging team just added armada thrust onto the package even though there’s supposedly no armada thrust in the works rn lol

I honestly will still keep both my SG and Siege Magnus figures despite having plans on getting the SS86, this feels nice.
I have the Noa Diaz figure.
honestly, he makes for a good generic background troop.
plus he poses well and since you can detach the kibble you can pretend the extra jet is a drone.
overall, if you want a small troop builder, he's good
He's more a generic background guy, that a specific dude, that's for sure.
Believe me, if you are DETERMINED enough, you can BY ALL MEANS customize that Wheeljack figure with the right colors.
And, Also, I will say.... If they DO end up doing more of the IDW designs, but wanna save a BIT of money, they can reuse some of the SS movie figures, but heavily remold them-
One more thing- I think contrary to what everyone says, Ultra Magnus IS going to have a smaller robot mode TVEN THOUGH IT ISN'T SHOWN, which I think will be neat

San Diego Comic Con Transformers reveals were awesome.
-Armada Universe Powerlinx Hot Shot and Jolt: Hot Shot in Hot Rod colors looks cool, he comes with the big guns from the later on in the Armada show, blast effects, and finally a minicon. And looks like Thrust is hinted to be in the Earthrise Seeker mold, which is fine.
-Shattered Glass Rodimus and Sideswipe: Black/red/purple Hot Rod is already cool enough. But seeing the design for Sideswipe and his minicon Whisper, makes me excited because we're definitely getting a Armada Wheeljack and Wind Sheer later down the line.
-Ascenticon Kaskade vs Senate Guard Autobot Javelin: Two IDW comic characters I didn't know existed, but really want in my collection. Like how Javelin uses the Studio Series BB Arcee mold, and Kaskade taking on the fembot mold from POTP is cool.
-Nova Prime: The Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime mold got an awesome upgrade to Nova Prime. Really like how this turns out.
-Stunticon combiner Menasor 5 pack: The Stunitcons are back, now in toy colors, which is cool.
-Nacelle: Aside from Senator Shockwave, this is the 12th uses of the Siege Tetrajet mold, and I like this this Seeker looks.
-Studio Series 86 Ultra Magnus: Hasbro release their first commander class figure for Studio Series, and Ultra Magnus looks awesome. Wasn't really a fan of the white Optimus in Ultra Magnus armor, so this really awesome.
-Frenzy(red): Soon he will join his twin Rumble(blue) in the Transformers collection.
-ROTB Noah exo-suit: The core class figure speaks for himself.
-ROTB Nightbird: Not as sleek as her movie appearance or character render on her box, but I'll get her to complete my Terrorcon faction.
--Edit: Novakane was also revealed. He's Freezer but with head damage by his left eyes. Still cool, looking forward to getting the little guy to further complete the Terrorcon faction.
-Transformers 2007 15th Anniversary Decepticon box set. This is cool, but I wish Brawl is in this set too. He was part of the Mission City battle.
-Studio Series 86 Ratchet: Looks great, looking forward to having him side by side with 86 Ironhide.
-Haslab Deathsaurus: Is cool, looking forward to the reviews on this Emperor of Destruction from Transformers Victory.
-Transformers crossover with Stranger Things: Not familiar with the show, but hope fans enjoy this Pizza Delivery van Transformer
-Movie Masterpiece Bonecrusher: He looks cool. Hope fans of Masterpiece enjoy this Decepticon.

Im so excited to finally get rumble (who is red) to complete soundwave's cassettes
At the moment I'm interested in SS86 Ultra Magnus, SS86 Ratchet, and the "Deadeye Duel 2-Pack". Everything else isn't a priority. I do want Javelin, especially because she'll look good on my "Wreckers" themed shelf.
I think Javalin is the one I'm most excited for, followed by a Magnus at close second.
I'm glad I was one of those people who were quick enough on the draw to show you those new reveals.

Now, granted, out of all those, I think the only one's I'll get is the 86 Ultra Magnus and Ratchet because I tossed my Kingdom one when I heard about the listings and I started collecting after Earthrise so I couldn't get the two pack there, not like I wanted to though, that mould sucked.

The New Magnus figure looks amazing. I'm glad I held off on the other figures of his. I'm down for the new Hotshot too. I didn't think I needed the redeco, but damn it looks so good. I'm disappointed about Armada Thrust. He needs his own new mould. He was one of my favourite characters from that series
Magnus looks fantastic, and yeah you made a good decision holding off, because now I bet you, you could get one for cheap if you did wind up wanting one, which you probably don't, but at least you don't need to sell one now.

And they won't do classics seekers that would actually be wanted, like sunstorm. But the mold is getting mold degradation. I found this out when I bought the dirge re-release, and the arm was pinned at a weird angle like it missed the hole. It still transforms but doesn't tab in. But hell I don't care, I completed both g1 seeker teams. I display Sandstorm as a Ramjet, didn't buy a ramjet because it would have just yellowed anyway, skip the middleman.
To be fair they did a Sunstorm with the Siege one.

I feel like it will be different enough from the Kingdom/Siege version that it really wouldn’t matter if you want him or not. Plus the best thing to do with commanders if money is a little bit of an issue is to wait for a sale for him.
Movie Masterpieces are neat due to the fact they like. actually work?? they're the designs that work the least for a toy (Studio Series just accepted it's a backpack game) so the MPS not doing that is amazing

I mean, SG Sideswipe is one of my favorite SG characters and he used the Armada Wheeljack mold so it makes sense. And if him getting the mold first and then we get an Armada Jackie later that’s fine by me

Btw somebody sent a message to one of the Legacy designers (Evan) and they asked about that Armada Thrust on Hot shots box and he confirmed it was an easter egg that the packaging team included and is not real

The Combiner Wars looking joints are for his dismantling gimmick so, unlike Kup, this dude will lock together. And Magnus will only be slightly bigger than 86 Grimlock
And Thrust in Hotshot’s box is just the artist’s using the ER Seeker as the base because as of right now they don’t have a mold for Thrust yet
