I last traveled the full line back in '72. It was well worth the trip from Kent to make the journey as your wonderful and well edited film reminded me.I am looking forward to visiting The South Tyndale Railway shortly.Thank you so much for generously sharing.

I rode the 14 miles on Saturday. The sun was shining and I was in heaven imagining what it was like when trains ran.
Did the steam train from Alston and the line is my new secret which I'm going to tell everyone about.
I'll be returning in the spring.
    Great video.

Thanks for posting this Snowy - I remember almost buying a shop in Slaggyford too many years ago that I care to remember, and being interested in the closed line opposite. Well done!!

TVRUG sometimes hold meetings on Haltwhistle station, great if a station were to re-open at Greenhead as it proposes. At present Haltwhistle is the place to catch the bus up to the Wall.
The so-called all-weather road that replaced the line to Alston was the biggest joke though.

Haha yeah. No such thing as an all weather road in the North Pennines! 🙄🤣
