Great tips! I’ve been trying a bit of night drone flying with the DJI Mini 3 Pro and it is an excellent drone but you do need to tune it a little to get the best results.

Night time is something i ALWAYS wanted to do! Especially because in the day you get all the drone cops nagging or people jumping into my workspace distracting lol! Just gimme me personal space! Plus it actually looks so much more epic. 😁

yes. I want to film great moon shots with my mini pro 3
During pitch black times you can use Mist filters in the city or light pollution reduction when in the middle of nowhere - but you will need very long shutter speeds to see stuff. So filming at night in the middle of nowhere is fine for time lapses. Even Sonys FX3 or FX6 will fall apart at night without light but the tally in the middle of nowhere. But a time lapse at a place where you can see stars with LPR might give you some significantly visible earth rotation, which is incredibly satisfying if you have a drone that can stay in the air for a very long time like the Air 3. Make your time lapse to take as long as possible in these scenarios - you will also need a shutter speed of at least >1s.
So you use the graph at night? I was hoping you touched on that topic. Does the graph matters at night?
Im torn.. I was going to get the Mavic 3 pro but this is showing me that I can get away with the mini 3 pro .. I have a gig I do twice a year where its best to shoot at night/twilight because its a county fair.. I wish I had it last night as I was shooting it again . My current drone is a Phantom 4 Pro (yes an old bird) and Im counting the days when I can upgrade. I want the 2 S for the 360 camera option from Insta360. But that will have to wait :) BTW TOTALLY JEALOUS of your shots. Amazing and breathtaking. As a lover of architecture your shots blew my mind..

Also, any advantages in quality shooting H.264 vs H.265? I notice much smaller file sizes with H.265. Which do you recommend? The quality of your shots are outstanding. @@SeanAlami i think that dji says that at 500 iso you have that dji call "double iso". This means that you have "more light" (over 500 iso) and you have obtained the very good picture without noise? Thanks

really looks great those shots at night, love to try your tips Sean Alami. But I can't fly that far with the M3P over my city, buildings interrupt my signal. And you're in Europe making those wonderful shots, so I guess your M3P is also in CE-mode like mine ? How is it possible that the range of your M3P is that much further ?

I have the Mini 2 SE and am a bit disappointed with the photo quality (I'm not that interested in videos). Especially in the dark - my favourite time. I would like to upgrade - but does it have to be the Mini 3 Pro or is the Mini 3 enough? Thank you!

Keep it around 4300, but its not written in stone
What's the maximum ISO you should use on the mini 3? 200 or 400?
I personally try not to go over 400, but 800 is my max
yeah f 1.7 but it's a tiny sensor. I shot some fireworks at night this past 4th, I wasn't that impressed. the small sensor it isn't going to be anything great. comes out pretty noisy. but day shots look great. I will probably never go above 249g cause I don't want to deal with all the red tape so the mini will have to do.
While recording a waypoint hyperlapse, if in any in between waypoint is set with camera pointing 90 degree down, my Mini 3 Pro is getting stuck there and keeps on taking photos at same point instead of rebounding the camera up to continue the remaining way points - Did you try this or faced this issue ?
