    so the cut line will not move for me, even when i change the cut plane of the view range. any ideas?

    • @DzanTa
      @DzanTa  Год назад

      The cut plane value for view range affects the entire model at one time. Creating a plan region around just the stairwell allows for a separate view range and cut plane value.

    and yet there is no way to cut the stair going down (below??) i have different stairs and ifferent floor-to-floor heights. making plans very confusing. there seems to be no way to hide stairs going down?

    • @DzanTa
      @DzanTa  Год назад

      If each of your stairs are modeled per level, you should be able to select the lower level stair and right-click and hide in view by element

      @raekell Год назад

      @@DzanTa i started doing this, but it was then hiding my landing for that level that i needed to show!

    how do you get to mask between cut marks?

    • @DzanTa
      @DzanTa  Год назад

      I am unclear about your question. The cut plan on a plan region specifies a different height at which the stair is cut as compared to the main view's cut plane. You might be able to use a masking region at the eared you need to hide.

    • @rcavenecia
      @rcavenecia 7 месяцев назад

      the space between your cut lines is void; i guess that is because you don't have stairs going down several floors... i wish there was a way to obtain a mask between cutlines automatically...@@DzanTa

    Not working for me either.

      so making a plan region and altering the view range cut plane height doesn't help? Can you elaborate so I can help you further?

  • @bensaleden
    @bensaleden 5 лет назад

    it doesn't work for in revit 2019 and i did exactly what you did

    • @DzanTa
      @DzanTa  5 лет назад

      Try again perhaps? I tested this in 2019 and 2020 and it works fine. If you still have trouble, send me a video of your step by step process so I can see what is happening.

    • @DzanTa

      also....ensure the entire stair is completely within the plan region. If the plan region linework touches the stairs, the stairs will not get affected by the plan region view range.
