Hey man, still recommend the metabones even over viltrox speedbooster? My main cameras for interviews are Bs1h & s1h The grip on my s1h is already coming off right under the power switch and since these cameras are the cinema can last me a very long time, I want to leave them rigged up at home and only use them in the field on tripods for interviews or the s1h rigged up for high budget handheld shooting for b roll shots. I also do retainer projects where I visit clients and film for social media. For this setup I have an s1 that also serves me well for photography and a gh5s. The gh5s is my only camera that has vertical frame marker in camera so I want to use it more for the social media stuff. I don’t have ef lenses, I have l mount lenses. Can’t adapt them so I’m thinking of getting a speedbooster and some ef glass. In my case, do you think I’d be better getting like a 10-25 m43 lens and call it a day, or should I adapt and maybe use the ef lenses also on my other S cameras? I’m between staying m43 native and getting the 10-25 1.7 or getting a speedbooster and getting FF canon lenses. Again, it’s my gh5s technically my D cam but can become my A cam for run and gun social media stuff. Yes I know the gh5s has no ibis so ideally if want a ois lens but also fast for shooting indoors. If I can’t get that to work, it’s the s1 semi rigged just to have access to the frame guide via an external monitor. Problems man lol 🫠🤦🏻♂️What do you think? Thanks man!
@@LowellProductions dude! Updates: viltrox is solid but at least on the gh5s, when using af-on a couple of times repeatedly, it would freeze up the camera. The MBXL doesn’t do that. The gh5s impressed me so much I picked up a gh6. S5ii looks cool but I’m happy being in two worlds with L mount and m43. For the gh6 & gh5s I picked up the Olympus 12-40 & 40-150 2.8. They are awesome and make for small compact run and gun setups for when I need bts or I’m shooting smaller social media content. On the “pro” side I’m rocking the Bs1h & s1h. My s1 has become my stills cam for the most part.
I actually thought about it a bit, and I would invest heavy into EF glass, even if it's not Canon, just because these days it's pretty much universal. There are a few cine cameras that are compatible with either PL or EF mounts, and obviously you can use it with just about any mirrorless camera with an adapter.
Congrats on purchasing the GH6, I bet you are gonna love it. To answer your question, you should been able to use everything described in this video with your GH6. Cheers
so what do you input in to GH5 when it asks you for focal length of lens if you have metabones and a canon lens? x1.4 the cannon lens focal length? (ahh, answer here: ruclips.net/video/23YlQtgRHxA/видео.html)
I so wish you had shown some video footage of these speed boosters in action. A picture is worth 1000 words but a video much more.

for the price I say viltrox, but if money really isnt an issue I think the gaurentee would be the metabones

What speedbooster or adapters are you guys shooting with?? And with what glass??🎥📹📸 cheers
Very good. This is just what I needed. Really good video for me. I have the GH6 now. Should all this be the same for that.

This completely defeats the purpose of M43 which is to have a compact system with lenses that are half the price and half the size.
