I've Got the Voigtlander 17.5mm F/0.95, 42.5mm F/0.95 & Have just Purchased the 10.5mm F/0.95 lens. They are all awesome. I use to own the 25mm Voigtlander F0.95 and sold it with regret. I will purchase another one or the Zhongyi Speedmaster f_0.95 25mm
This lens produces some absolutely gorgeous images with amazing bokeh! I would like to see though a sharpness comparison wide open with something like the Sigma 50-100/1.8
I've got the 17.5mm Nokton 0.95 and I'll say this, wide open is pretty soft. However, I did know going in that the lenses have been reported as softer than its competitors, but that most people said it was a cinematic soft. Still, if you're looking for clinical sharpness, this definitely isn't the lens
Thanks for the upload and some valuable info, however with a lens of this caliber, everyone wants to see the result and samples of night time shooting. Wish you could add some. I'm considering buying this lens but not sure if I should rather go for its 17.5mm cousin rather than this, especially that I need it for micro 4/3rd sensor that has a crop factor of x2
I was considering this lens and also the 10.5mm f/0.95 and am happy to have come across your review. Thanks for the detailed analysis and the sample images. I like your last name by the way (I'm from Korea).
I have one and just purchased a Voigtlander 42.5mm F/0.95 lens. I also have a Voigtlander 17.5mm F/0.95 and am saving for the 10.5mm Voigtlander wide lens
I got all three of these, 42, 17 and 10.5, the 10.5 is my fav and now looking to add the 25mm too. You cannot go wrong with these lenses, the most cinematic you will get for MFT
@@swancoatart Thanks for your reply! I'm in two minds about the voigtlander and the Olympus 1.2 pro. But I don't know what the T Stop on the Olympus is so it's hard to decide.
@@tubeman1983 if you are doing cinema or mostly filmmaking the voightlanders are the way to go, if you are going photo or blog or need autofocus, olympus, also will probably be a tad bit sharper but voightlander has a unique magical look it it.
wait, you can get autofocus with the sigma? the only reason ive used the panasonic 12-35 over the sigma for over 2 years was because i thought the sigma was manual focus only on m4/3 lenses
T is basically an F, but a much better measurement. F is how wide a lens can be opened, but T is how well the light will go to the sensor. Because the lens has so many elements and glass etc.. So the light gets affected on the way in. F=/=T as sometimes F is like 1.2 BUT T is 2.0 or something. There are lenses with the same aperture size at F/2.0 for example. But in reality it is different as one has T5.6 and the other is like T8 or something.. Always find the T in lenses if you could.
+Samual Williams if I had to pick between the two, yes I'd pick this one. But mostly because I can't use the auto features of the sigma without a speedbooster
irrelevant ------>I know you said on the market but does anyone here know that there is actually a lens that is faster and its a Carl Zeiss f0.7????? wtf would love to spend a pretty penny if I could but I would be paying a pretty check instead only people who own them are NASA who wanted the lens to take a picture of the dark side of the moon and a filmmaker not sure about his name.
If you're going to be pedantic, at least get it right. It's actually pronounced 'Folkt-lende', but since we're not German we can use whatever bastardized version we desire. Most just use 'Voit-lander'. Just like nobody pronounces Nikon right either. I don't see this lens worth the money whatsoever anyway. 0.95 is only really impressive on paper. f/1.4 is plenty enough for anyone for serious shooting. You're just going to get a lot of throw away images trying to nail focus at f/0.95. Forget about shooting kids or anything moving about at that aperture.
There are a few .95 lenses. Mitakon 25mm is much sharper wide open. Cheaper build quality but awesome.
0.95 it's great for the night why you do not test it in low light

I kinda like the flare. Much better than the other 25mm manual glass.
no night shots or footage? :(
Micro4thirds Sucks at Night.
The GH5s eat that one LOL
@@techdashboard3095 Totally agreed. So much noise

Good point, low light filming is where this lens shines.

Great video! And that's quite an awesome lens, really great footage.

Great video Omar, slick lens with some really great samples.

@@swancoatart What is the T stop on these lenses?
@@tubeman1983 Between a T1.1 to T1.2. On average a T2 Lens is f1.8 T1.5, is F1.3... Its faster than my canon 1.3 cn-3.

Have you got chance to test with Pen-F? Wonder how is the balance and feel like.
So will you be reviewing this lens again or maybe the new 17mm

Wow so fast! That's awesome
Shooting almost macro with wide lens - nice...
If only I could hit the jackpot for once!

I'm sorry I forgot to mention that you'd need to use an adapter like a Metabones Speedbooster to have auto focus with the Sigma lens with this camera.
Thank you for posting this
Thanks for watching
Which would you prefer this one or the Zhongyi Speedmaster f_0.95 25mm?
I've never tested that lens.
Ok. Thanks
whats with the adapter on the end? why wouldnt you spend 3 seconds to take it off before reviewing the lens??
+Rosey Horvat would that really have drastically altered this review? You can images online of what it looks like without it
Very true. He just wanted a good old moan LOL
Do you know what is the "T" measure of this lens?
I do not, sorry

How is the manual focus on it? Is it focus by wire (crap) type of focus?
It's smooth no complaints
@@omarcorrea Thank you, Omar.
I'm seeing a little color fringing but not sure if it's my monitor. does anyone else see this?
Thanks for share this video! :)
You'd honestly take this over the Sigma?

What is a f2... :/
