I was thinking this, you gotta pay $30 so you dont sell your loot for basically nothing n can actually buy good gear People in the game use the term "stat check" bcuz its all about the gear ("get stat checked" etc) But you make way less gold if you dont fork the cash, in just 1 sell could b worth 3 full loot extractions (and thats just a low tier sell like green/blue items) You also have to start all over if you want to try another class, further punishing players for not paying up The "free" model was just to fill lobbies with free kills for their echo chamber players who are too ashamed to admit they got scammed back when it cost $10 *per class* There was a way to grind this but even those who paid the $30 are saying it was purposely made to take 200hrs *a class* to punish you for not just buying them I hate on this hard bcuz I really wanted to like the game, game of my dreams bro Such a shame they so scummy w it. This precedent has been set by multiple free to play games that make money off skins (like Fortnite). It should be called a demo, trial, or limited version. They should also say you can upgrade to the full version in the trailer / game awards. Or, just make the steam version cost money.
@@traceable7875 you get access to all maps, unlimited play time, access to all classes, complete all missions(that I know of), can now bring in any item up to legendary and purchase from the marketplace. The only thing you can't do is have multiple characters, sell items or go into high roller. That's a free version of paid a game. A demo would be something like having a limited amount of time, classes, level and/or maps you can access. You get access to basically everything

I have an idea: a dang tutorial. A tiny dungeon with a smaller or maybe entirely solo lobby size and gets player through all of the features. Then new players don't get confused about loot and bad ideas that nerf f2p loot don't get tossed around willy nilly

Don't forget, when you buy the game with in-game currency, it bypasses regional pricing and you are NOT allowed to refund the game because steam does not refund in-game purchases.
all they've done is created a loop where the only thing a new f2p player can do is collect a bunch of loot to sell and never use. you aren't building a character at all. you're just doing the same run over and over with no actual development. that's why people are mad. it's a stupid tactic and people have a right to be annoyed.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the majority of gear you find in normals isn't even that good. I saw someone say this early. F2P accounts should get a few tokens to try out HR. It would be an eye opening experience for a lot of people using the gear they found.
My question is why didn’t they just charge money for the full version on steam instead of making this ‘Demo/Free version’? You want to market the game, sure. But you are also worried about hackers and cheaters so you come up with restrictions. Then people complain. You can’t have it all, just charge the game in the first place and avoid all the problems.

i feel like the main problem here was miscommunication from part of the marketing,tho i think they should go for a "difficulty" approach, so, normals, gray to white, any lvl, any class, like always experienced 50-60 gold to enter, gray to blue, any lvl, any class, with a slighter higher luck, and more hard enemies high roller 100 gold, gray to golden, any lvl, any class like always, high luck, stronger enemies so that way it feels more like progressing, because, everyone that has play atleast once in high roller has experienced fighting a dude lvl 203 with all purple armor while you try to scanvenge with your mixed greens and blues

So really all you can do is either wear the gear you find, or sell it like treasure after game to use the gold to buy white items from the merchants. I already got a ton of gold in a few games. Makes the looting not very fun tho.
as a new player who really only saw the trailer from sgf (which only mentioned ftp) and remembered some buddies talking about the game: my biggest gripe from a new player experience perspective is only being able to have one class at a time. It FEELS very bad to delete your character every time you want to try a new class in a game with 9 classes. It just puts a really bad taste in a new player's mouth when you feel like your disincentivized and losing something if you want to try out other classes and find something you like. Even if never being able to level up a character is insignificant power wise a new player won't know that. There's some other communication-related things but being disincentivized to play the game is kind of the core of it at least for me. At least now that i've learned a bit more about the other parts of the game ftp misses out on. Which most people won't learn.
yeah, F2P players should get 3 character slots for sure. You don't need more than that to get a good feel for the game but you definitely need more than one. Hopefully they add more slots for you. out of interest what classes are you liking so far?

@@Rwnds7967 Yeah 3 slots was the number myself and my buddy were throwing around as well, seems like a decent middle ground. From the helldivers situation, negative reviews prove to spur actual change so I did so. But, I'm ABSOLUTELY going to delete the moment they give me 2+ more char slots. And who knows, might get hooked. I've been pretty busy and only playing with a buddy of mine who played the (second beta test he said?) so haven't had enough time to play to really feel a solid direction. My thoughts were to get a "preview" of ranged and melee focused combat so I played a bit of ranger then a bit of fighter. Not enough really for me to start forming a preference but I'm familiar enough with action games to understand the typical upsides and downsides to ranged vs melee characters. I will say ranger arrow firing felt very clunky to me, but honestly thinking back I think I understand different ranged weapons feel a bit differently so it might be a matter of me going and finding different weapons or something. Will have to do that one of the other times I delete and re make my character. Might be trying some flavor of spellcaster next though.

Why is there zero point? You could fill your stash with gold and buy not bad loot that way. Not the merchants, but the trading area. You can get almost anything you want in any rarity level if you have the coin and we both know how easy it is to farm up a quick few hundred coins

And the combat definitely has a level of skill lmao, for most of the classes that is. (rogue/warlock do not have skill) it sounds like you have a classic case of "skill issue" to me xD

the main thing im seeing in the negative reviews is "THIS ISNT FREE TO PLAY!!" when in fact it is further more its says "Free-to-Play VeRsIoN" which 90% people seem to miss. it goes on to explain IN DETAIL the limits of the free to play version... i swear in the past 5 years the general I.Q. of the entire world has dropped by at least 20 points...
Highly doubt people got together to lower this games review score for some “movement” rather the game came out on steam and didn’t jive as well as everyone thought. Whether it be the actual gameplay, content or current F2P model.
As someone who didnt purchase the 15 redstone i could definitely feel the slow progress i actually already got 2 extra storage because the equipment i cant sell in market are just in there (blue, purple, gold equips) also its really a grind for me since i cant snowball fast gold on market by selling

Dark & Darker (library assets, stolen design game) = $30 Baldurs Gate 3 = $35 Elden Ring = $42 Let that sink. New players are not the the "hold the line" sheeps. They also dont know they are investing time in a wipe type of game, theres no warning about it anywhere. They also do know, because the store tells you, that the game launched 2 days ago but theres already limited cosmetics and a race they will never be able to get. But the devs were cosntantly crying about "bad corporate tactics". Alas, they were Nexon employees after all.

You had a noclip hacker? I've never seen that before in almost 500 hours of play. This game mostly just has ESPers that I've seen. Are you in Oceania? I'm USW so hackers aren't as bad as in Oceania over here.
the game is genuinely not fun to new players, im level 5 and there are people on level 150 characters who clearly have put 100s of hours in in my lobby, why? why is there no actual matchmaking? i cannot imagine new players actually staying for longer then 5-10 hours before they realize something else is just more fun
there isnt a way to communicate to new players that they wont be thinking about HR much until 250+ hours anyways... and if your looking if solo PVP, normals is where to go. ULTRA smooth wipe too btw. best patch they have had, and look at what they did. timed with SGF no less.........

Lizardman is arguably the worst race - but requires you to gear up properly beforehand. The best race is nightmare skeleton which is a bit annoying because it was unlocked by reaching a high enough rank 2 seasons ago.
I'd say nightmare skeleton stats should be available on a bluestone shard skin but other then that the skins aren't even close to being broken op or even needed

I don’t think the problem is with the marketing tbh, I think the problem is with peoples mindset. I’ve known about this game for a while and the stuff going on in the back ground but just wanted to have all my games on steam. I saw on the homepage that dark and darker was out and that is was actually free so it was super exciting. I knew beforehand that the game cost money so I knew the free version was going to come with some sort of limitation and rightfully so. I wish other games had a free to play model like this.
in my opinion this game is super clunky slow paced and doesn't have a progression type level for new players. hit boxes are god awful, spells often refuse to cast even though your crosshair is dead on the target. but my biggest gripe with the game is the lack of an MMR or gear score match making. I play with a friend we do okay from time to time. but in non high roller lobbies the second we get 2 green items it puts us in what seems like a no cap gear score lobby. you go in with a gear score of 45 and just get rofl stomped by duo team that does nothing but joining wearing all purples gear scores of 500+ that just run around and kill everyone and yup you guessed it back to the starter set. I don't mind getting outclassed by similarly geared people but going up against a decent team completely out geared isn't even fun. you cant even run cause their gear makes them take very little damage from mobs and with decent stats they will be faster than you. until they do something unfortunately i will likely play other games
There are gear score lobbies. It's broken up into under 25, above 25, and over 125. One of your friends brought in gear over 125 for you to be put with people with 500 gear score. Also, hit boxes in this game are pixel perfect. Quite literally a git gud moment on that part. With you mentioning spells not casting... are you playing Wizard? If so... just don't. He's very, very bad at the moment unless you're an actual top 10 player.
I hate being a solo player in video games but I just prefer to play by myself at my own pace. I wish solos was the only way to play the game. No duos or triples. Inferno/hell isn’t designed for solos. I don’t want to have to be a bard, warlock or use cheese strats in order to solo hell. Whenever I play a game as a solo player and I’m locked out of the good resources because I don’t have friends to play with or part of a team I just lose interest. So when I’m forced out of the pve content it just becomes PvP with extra steps. No thanks I’d rather just que up a different more balanced PvP game. Amazing game amazing gameplay. But I can only open so many chests before I get bored. I want to get the good ores and craft and make profit. It’s too hard as a solo to do It consistently.
The game has been the same as when i started, no improvement or innovation same thing repeat over and over. Mobs packed in every room as if people enjoy hitting skelly's and goblins?? Wtf? You'd think they would focus more on PvP because that's what most players actually want but w/e its going to die off eventually. Game is dead.
Free to play players should be separated from paid players now you can bring in better gear to normals. I’m a new player but not being having access to the trade market seems kinda pay to win. Me grinding to find gear compared to someone picking optimized gear from the market doesn’t seem balanced imo. I guess that’s just their sales funnel

TBH there is a fair amount of headspace between "free" and "demo" I welcome the Steam review Karens to suggest a more appropriate choice between these two words.
free to play means a live service model where the main game is all available, but things like multiple characters, special items, or even specific merchants can be locked behind a paywall. ones that arent necessary to play the game. making it to where im just going in to get gear to sell and never wear is a huge waste of time. i"m not building a character more so just doing the same run over and over and over with no actual development. fortnite is f2p and doesn't stop you from playing no build mode.

It's clearly way more than demo as far as content access is concerned, but admittedly not "free to play" in the way it's applied to League of Legends, etc. What phrasing should the developers use to accurately represent the middle ground between "demo" and "free to play" they're providing? Also, FWIW: PLENTY of existing paid players just do normals and/or low gear score (minimal progression) high-roller lobbies as they're significantly less sweaty. The only change beyond marketing terminology is perhaps allowing up to uncommon rarity items in normals to have a modest amount of progression. Only problem there is it could create a poorer experience for new players in normals.
@MrDraehl idk I think a game like DaD shouldn't worry about making it fair for new players. It's inherently a hard game so trying to baby people then restricting them after they've learned what they need to learn seems like such a bog of a gameplay loop. I feel people wouldn't ve complaining near as hard if we didn't feel like our characters weren't really developing. Like the loot we are pulling out of chests has more use than being sold for gold.

You are actually better off selling to merchant 95% of what you find in normal. imo this is mostly a communication / expectation problem, f2p / demo with normal only is a good way for new players to try and then buy the game if they like it.

But they’re adding an arena mode that you can only play trios in. Barbarian has been broken for months, because that’s the class the main dev plays. I can keep going

A lot of dev decisions for this game looks like early years of online games and they took all the "not working" routes. Why reinvent a wheel again? The easy solution for this is just rating of gear. This game lacks so many quality of life and too much wierd dev decisions.
I’m not mad at the game being 30 bucks and free.. I’m mad at the class balancing. Some classes suck, others are unkillable, one shot, invisible, infinite move speed. Druid is stupid, vault it from the game. Warlock is cool, a bit too strong imo. The whole point of running a healer is to be a supportive role.. there’s no reason the other two heal characters in the game should have the same kill potential as a barb or rogue.. if I’m playing warlock or Druid, it’s a 90% win no matter what my match up is, unless I’m going against another Druid or warlock.
For the new players the f2p is more like a free trial. Still gives hundreds of hours worth of content. The devs have tried greens and blues in normals. It doesn’t work. The game is not worth $30 it’s easily worth $60.

I played the game for a few hours already and the quality of the game is worse then some indie games. It just shouldn't cost 30 euro. For this money you can easily eat for a week and be fully satisfied. It feels like a bunch of assets quickly put together with some very very non-skill gameplay (you cant dodge, sprint, show your shield blocking skills, and using spells feels so bad) the game mechanics are even worse then skyrim not even talking about enemy pathfinding. You can stand behind some obstacle and hit them while they cant hit you. Beware they can fully block you and hit u while you are stuck in a same place. I get that its still early access but even tho, I could do a similar game with better mechanics and ai, if I would had been given the assets and someone who would work on the multiplayer. In a week. The worst thing is the "You died you wont get any xp" mechanic. It discourages new players to try fighting others and rather than that quicky grab some loot and extract as fast as possible. If only it were like "You died, here you have half of all exp you collected.".

Rage bait? Or are you clueless. At the end of last wipe was 1-2k players. It's not bad for an indie game but made the game unplayable for a lot of the servers. It was sitting at 1/3 the player count the beta was even released on all places. The game peaked in the beta which is a terrible thing for the longevity of a game

On top of that it was also a f2p release making those numbers even worst in comparison. People have tried the game loved the idea but was turned of by IM poor execution. I hope they can turn it around, but if they continue to make the same mistakes then it will just turn into another dead extraction game. Being replaced by a better alternative.

The bad reviews are due to bad implementation, bad communication, billing problems, somewhat pointless gameplay of a loot based game (admitted by them today themselves as unrealistic) and the worst community of gaslighters I have ever seen in my life. Game has great potential, it does, but there really needs to be some internal work done to make it not stay relegated to a dark and darker corner
We have more stash space to start off with and can use our alternate characters to buy items that are in those alternate characters' shops, and swap them over. That is an advantage.

@@shift2964 check the items, even if they are white they provide different stats, depending the piece of armor, and the extra +1 stat on def,dex,strg,etc
White items can go in shift which are better than grey, and you can take in more supplies. It's a very minor advantage but it is there. If you're decent at the game gear and supplies will never be a problem even if you are F2P.

@@traceable7875 you get access to all maps, unlimited play time, access to all classes, complete all missions(that I know of), can now bring in any item up to legendary and purchase from the marketplace. The only thing you can't do is have multiple characters, sell items or go into high roller. That's a free version of paid a game. A demo would be something like having a limited amount of time, classes, level and/or maps you can access. You get access to basically everything

I have an idea: a dang tutorial. A tiny dungeon with a smaller or maybe entirely solo lobby size and gets player through all of the features. Then new players don't get confused about loot and bad ideas that nerf f2p loot don't get tossed around willy nilly

all they've done is created a loop where the only thing a new f2p player can do is collect a bunch of loot to sell and never use. you aren't building a character at all. you're just doing the same run over and over with no actual development. that's why people are mad. it's a stupid tactic and people have a right to be annoyed.
You can complete quests and buy more stash space - that is literally the core gameplay loop.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the majority of gear you find in normals isn't even that good. I saw someone say this early. F2P accounts should get a few tokens to try out HR. It would be an eye opening experience for a lot of people using the gear they found.

experienced 50-60 gold to enter, gray to blue, any lvl, any class, with a slighter higher luck, and more hard enemies
high roller 100 gold, gray to golden, any lvl, any class like always, high luck, stronger enemies
so that way it feels more like progressing, because, everyone that has play atleast once in high roller has experienced fighting a dude lvl 203 with all purple armor while you try to scanvenge with your mixed greens and blues

So really all you can do is either wear the gear you find, or sell it like treasure after game to use the gold to buy white items from the merchants. I already got a ton of gold in a few games. Makes the looting not very fun tho.
its a good thing they made it with gearscore so you can bring in loot up to legendary grade or unique now
as a new player who really only saw the trailer from sgf (which only mentioned ftp) and remembered some buddies talking about the game: my biggest gripe from a new player experience perspective is only being able to have one class at a time. It FEELS very bad to delete your character every time you want to try a new class in a game with 9 classes. It just puts a really bad taste in a new player's mouth when you feel like your disincentivized and losing something if you want to try out other classes and find something you like. Even if never being able to level up a character is insignificant power wise a new player won't know that.
There's some other communication-related things but being disincentivized to play the game is kind of the core of it at least for me. At least now that i've learned a bit more about the other parts of the game ftp misses out on. Which most people won't learn.
yeah, F2P players should get 3 character slots for sure. You don't need more than that to get a good feel for the game but you definitely need more than one. Hopefully they add more slots for you. out of interest what classes are you liking so far?

From the helldivers situation, negative reviews prove to spur actual change so I did so. But, I'm ABSOLUTELY going to delete the moment they give me 2+ more char slots. I've been pretty busy and only playing with a buddy of mine who played the (second beta test he said?) so haven't had enough time to play to really feel a solid direction. My thoughts were to get a "preview" of ranged and melee focused combat so I played a bit of ranger then a bit of fighter. Not enough really for me to start forming a preference but I'm familiar enough with action games to understand the typical upsides and downsides to ranged vs melee characters. I will say ranger arrow firing felt very clunky to me, but honestly thinking back I think I understand different ranged weapons feel a bit differently so it might be a matter of me going and finding different weapons or something. Will have to do that one of the other times I delete and re make my character. Might be trying some flavor of spellcaster next though.

Why is there zero point? You could fill your stash with gold and buy not bad loot that way. Not the merchants, but the trading area. You can get almost anything you want in any rarity level if you have the coin and we both know how easy it is to farm up a quick few hundred coins

And the combat definitely has a level of skill lmao, for most of the classes that is. (rogue/warlock do not have skill) it sounds like you have a classic case of "skill issue" to me xD

the main thing im seeing in the negative reviews is "THIS ISNT FREE TO PLAY!!" when in fact it is further more its says "Free-to-Play VeRsIoN" which 90% people seem to miss. it goes on to explain IN DETAIL the limits of the free to play version... i swear in the past 5 years the general I.Q. of the entire world has dropped by at least 20 points...

the game is genuinely not fun to new players, im level 5 and there are people on level 150 characters who clearly have put 100s of hours in in my lobby, why? why is there no actual matchmaking? i cannot imagine new players actually staying for longer then 5-10 hours before they realize something else is just more fun
there isnt a way to communicate to new players that they wont be thinking about HR much until 250+ hours anyways... and if your looking if solo PVP, normals is where to go.

Lizardman is arguably the worst race - but requires you to gear up properly beforehand. The best race is nightmare skeleton which is a bit annoying because it was unlocked by reaching a high enough rank 2 seasons ago.
I'd say nightmare skeleton stats should be available on a bluestone shard skin but other then that the skins aren't even close to being broken op or even needed

I don’t think the problem is with the marketing tbh, I think the problem is with peoples mindset. I’ve known about this game for a while and the stuff going on in the back ground but just wanted to have all my games on steam. I saw on the homepage that dark and darker was out and that is was actually free so it was super exciting. I knew beforehand that the game cost money so I knew the free version was going to come with some sort of limitation and rightfully so. I wish other games had a free to play model like this.

in my opinion this game is super clunky slow paced and doesn't have a progression type level for new players. hit boxes are god awful, spells often refuse to cast even though your crosshair is dead on the target. but my biggest gripe with the game is the lack of an MMR or gear score match making. I play with a friend we do okay from time to time. but in non high roller lobbies the second we get 2 green items it puts us in what seems like a no cap gear score lobby. you go in with a gear score of 45 and just get rofl stomped by duo team that does nothing but joining wearing all purples gear scores of 500+ that just run around and kill everyone and yup you guessed it back to the starter set. I don't mind getting outclassed by similarly geared people but going up against a decent team completely out geared isn't even fun. you cant even run cause their gear makes them take very little damage from mobs and with decent stats they will be faster than you. until they do something unfortunately i will likely play other games
There are gear score lobbies. It's broken up into under 25, above 25, and over 125. One of your friends brought in gear over 125 for you to be put with people with 500 gear score.
Also, hit boxes in this game are pixel perfect. Quite literally a git gud moment on that part.
With you mentioning spells not casting... are you playing Wizard? If so... just don't. He's very, very bad at the moment unless you're an actual top 10 player.

I hate being a solo player in video games but I just prefer to play by myself at my own pace.
I wish solos was the only way to play the game. No duos or triples. Inferno/hell isn’t designed for solos.
I don’t want to have to be a bard, warlock or use cheese strats in order to solo hell.
Whenever I play a game as a solo player and I’m locked out of the good resources because I don’t have friends to play with or part of a team I just lose interest.
So when I’m forced out of the pve content it just becomes PvP with extra steps.
No thanks I’d rather just que up a different more balanced PvP game.

Best you can do is just stay under 25 gear score then for balanced lobbies. This is always an issue.

free to play means a live service model where the main game is all available, but things like multiple characters, special items, or even specific merchants can be locked behind a paywall. ones that arent necessary to play the game. making it to where im just going in to get gear to sell and never wear is a huge waste of time. i"m not building a character more so just doing the same run over and over and over with no actual development. fortnite is f2p and doesn't stop you from playing no build mode.

It's clearly way more than demo as far as content access is concerned, but admittedly not "free to play" in the way it's applied to League of Legends, etc. What phrasing should the developers use to accurately represent the middle ground between "demo" and "free to play" they're providing?
Also, FWIW: PLENTY of existing paid players just do normals and/or low gear score (minimal progression) high-roller lobbies as they're significantly less sweaty. The only change beyond marketing terminology is perhaps allowing up to uncommon rarity items in normals to have a modest amount of progression. Only problem there is it could create a poorer experience for new players in normals.
@MrDraehl idk I think a game like DaD shouldn't worry about making it fair for new players. It's inherently a hard game so trying to baby people then restricting them after they've learned what they need to learn seems like such a bog of a gameplay loop. I feel people wouldn't ve complaining near as hard if we didn't feel like our characters weren't really developing. Like the loot we are pulling out of chests has more use than being sold for gold.

imo this is mostly a communication / expectation problem, f2p / demo with normal only is a good way for new players to try and then buy the game if they like it.

The devs constantly make horrible design choices. For an example, the majority of the player base plays solo. But they’re adding an arena mode that you can only play trios in. Barbarian has been broken for months, because that’s the class the main dev plays.

A lot of dev decisions for this game looks like early years of online games and they took all the "not working" routes. Why reinvent a wheel again? The easy solution for this is just rating of gear. This game lacks so many quality of life and too much wierd dev decisions.
Simple skill issue
I’m not mad at the game being 30 bucks and free.. I’m mad at the class balancing. Some classes suck, others are unkillable, one shot, invisible, infinite move speed. Druid is stupid, vault it from the game. Warlock is cool, a bit too strong imo. The whole point of running a healer is to be a supportive role.. there’s no reason the other two heal characters in the game should have the same kill potential as a barb or rogue.. if I’m playing warlock or Druid, it’s a 90% win no matter what my match up is, unless I’m going against another Druid or warlock.
For the new players the f2p is more like a free trial. Still gives hundreds of hours worth of content. The devs have tried greens and blues in normals. It doesn’t work. The game is not worth $30 it’s easily worth $60.

I played the game for a few hours already and the quality of the game is worse then some indie games.
It just shouldn't cost 30 euro. For this money you can easily eat for a week and be fully satisfied.
It feels like a bunch of assets quickly put together with some very very non-skill gameplay (you cant dodge, sprint, show your shield blocking skills, and using spells feels so bad) the game mechanics are even worse then skyrim not even talking about enemy pathfinding. You can stand behind some obstacle and hit them while they cant hit you. Beware they can fully block you and hit u while you are stuck in a same place.
I get that its still early access but even tho, I could do a similar game with better mechanics and ai, if I would had been given the assets and someone who would work on the multiplayer. In a week. The worst thing is the "You died you wont get any xp" mechanic. It discourages new players to try fighting others and rather than that quicky grab some loot and extract as fast as possible. If only it were like "You died, here you have half of all exp you collected.".

Rage bait? Or are you clueless. At the end of last wipe was 1-2k players. It's not bad for an indie game but made the game unplayable for a lot of the servers. It was sitting at 1/3 the player count the beta was even released on all places. The game peaked in the beta which is a terrible thing for the longevity of a game

People have tried the game loved the idea but was turned of by IM poor execution. I hope they can turn it around, but if they continue to make the same mistakes then it will just turn into another dead extraction game. Being replaced by a better alternative.

The bad reviews are due to bad implementation, bad communication, billing problems, somewhat pointless gameplay of a loot based game (admitted by them today themselves as unrealistic) and the worst community of gaslighters I have ever seen in my life. Game has great potential, it does, but there really needs to be some internal work done to make it not stay relegated to a dark and darker corner

Premium accounts do not have advantage in normals everyone is on equal footing in normals.
We have more stash space to start off with and can use our alternate characters to buy items that are in those alternate characters' shops, and swap them over. That is an advantage.

@@shift2964 check the items, even if they are white they provide different stats, depending the piece of armor, and the extra +1 stat on def,dex,strg,etc
White items can go in shift which are better than grey, and you can take in more supplies. It's a very minor advantage but it is there. If you're decent at the game gear and supplies will never be a problem even if you are F2P.
