I'd look into getting a metal or horn thumb ring, a few other youtubers have had 3d printed/plastic thumb rings fail with no warning with bows around 70lb
My brass ones are from AliExpress but can also be found in eBay / Amazon. Were about £10. Got three sizes 20,21 and 22 depending on weather and inflammation. The horn was from Daylite Archery
@@solhoibaturu It certainly is different. It seems to bend closer to the handle and a little less boxy. It's also a little bit smaller than the 50" bows but packs a punch.
60 pounds very lethal weight for hunting. I like to shoot at least 200 arrows a day minimum. For me 40-45 pounds is enjoyable. Thanks for the review. How much did it cost?
Usually 9gpp arrow weight is good for Korean bows, of course you can go lighter, but it may reduce the lifespan of the bow ✌️☺️ Keep enjoying the Cheonji! It’s a very nice bow, indeed! 👊😁

@KTBIOM I understand completely. However, it's being critical and constantly unsatisfied that eventually leads us to great, natural technique. @@jimbrunett5025 Other than a bit of speed, I think this bow in lower poundage would perform well. It's slightly shorter than other bows same size for size. The shape of the limbs slightly leafy and tapered at the arrow pass means it has a narrower arrow pass than most other KTBs. Both Agama Green and Armin Hirmer have tested the lower poundage Horn version and it seems quite good. I really like this bow.

@jimbrunett5025 Thank you for your comments and I am glad you enjoy the videos. I started thumb shooting before I got a thumb ring, with the 35# Freddie Archery Black Shadow. First raw, then with motorcycle gloves, then a leather tab, and finally the cheap metal thumb rings. A good sized thumb ring makes a world of difference. I am now at the stage that pulling my bows 3 fingers hurts my forearm as I not used to the strain, but I can use the thumb with no problems. Different tendons and muscle groups.
@@gogamgogam5485 I've not tested these against each other. I should do that. I shot the Jeil last week. It took me a while to get good. I think the grip is too small for me. During the course of the morning my accuracy improved. But I'd sometimes have a good shot and then miss the next. It requires good form. The CJG is a lot heavier. It is a workout. However I was getting good accuracy and consistency almost from the start. I'll see if I can get good weather to do a shoot off between them. I have some more arrows on order.
@@peterlai9018 Yes i think so. This is supposed to be a 60# and i did not pay extra for heavy weight. Cheonji also make Gakgung so they know what they are doing.

Does not resemble a real korean bio composite bow very much. Those "curl" backwards all he way to an "O" when unstrung . Gives tremendous sinue pretension and performance despite very sleek dimensions. Still a very beautiful bow strung , this one though.
@@vespass225 no not similar to a Gakgung 각궁 horn bow. This is a gug gung 국궁 a "national palace" bow made with modern materials like carbon and glass. There is a bio composite version of this bow with horn on the belly. Armin Hirmer did a review on his channel.
@@jimbrunett5025 Given that the glory days of SMG are over, a new YMG would be a better bet. I don't have a YMG yet.... But people speak highly of them. The old SMGs are reputably better than YMG but Master Park DoMin is now retired. The basic YMG is covered with an artificial birch bark wrap. Real birch bark is an extra.

Swapped my 100gn points to 150grain bringing arrow weight to 475grain for a 6.2gpp this morning before practice. Will see how they shoot.

For Cheonji, 119cm is a longbow. 117.5cm is a middle bow, 115cm is short bow and 109cm is a short-short bow.

I shot the Jeil last week. It took me a while to get good. I think the grip is too small for me. During the course of the morning my accuracy improved. But I'd sometimes have a good shot and then miss the next. It requires good form.
