    Been watching you for a long time Lionel, and each progressive video since your injury and forced recovery I have noticed your attitude, passion and fire improve. You can see the change in how you physically carry yourself, your overall confidence level, the expression on your face and the tone in you voice. You have managed to balance all aspects and attributes maximally and complementary and peaking all elements at the same time. You can tell your not peaking your mind ahead of your body, or your body ahead of your mind...you have found the formula to peak mind, body and spirit all together at exactly the same time. This is the truest reflection of your journey Lionel and you are an example of what a being a professional triathlete is all about. You have found your path and now reflect being a truly holistic triathlete that very few are able to achieve. Go Lionel, go Canada!

    loved the joke with the weights! Going to the gym today after seeing this. Inspiring. Great idea with the mirrors! I recently did a marathon and was wearing the 4% shoes. Consensus is that these shoes aren’t necessarily are more springy but the carbon plates in the soles force you to keep running with good form especially later in the run. I certainly can confirm that. I have never felt so pain free and good on the second half of the marathon

    • @briandeal8927
      @briandeal8927 2 года назад

      For swimming, the formula is stroke count + stroke rate = your time. Always focus on catching and pushing as much water as possible first. Decrease your stroke count, and then increase your stroke rate (make it faster). Also, I often don’t hear enough people talk about a glide in freestyle. You really want to rotate your body - keeping your hips and shoulders connected in a box - and glide on your side! Lionel’s strokes are just a bit choppy and short in this video and he could easily drop some time working on the timing and power of his kick to help him stay on his side and glide/cut through the water just a little bit longer.

    Indoor training is great for sure, I love Zwift and Trainerroad. The only thing you can't simulate is the wind, when the wind is pushing you outside it's a massive factor for reducing your power and at the same time making you dead tired.
