Just finished doing test of design on Brother SE1900 that was glitching on the VA VA HAN b79. It was perfect stitching on the SE1900 doing 5x7, NO GLITCHING at all, smooth, dependable stitching with no hic-ups compared to the Bernette VA VA HAN b79 which seemed to be having a bad day. So my opinion is..... I would trust my old trusty RECON SE1900 over my new VA VA HAN b79 machine, though I do miss the auto JUMP STITCH cutting on the VA VA HAN which the SE1900 doesn't do and I do like the larger 5 x 10 hoop on the b79 but the glitches I can do without!!!
Question???? Is the embroidery speed controlled by the slider dial on the front of machine, I know the sewing speed is. When I was doing embroidery I could change speed with the slider on the VA VA HAN b79, my brother SE1900 does not work that way, it only controls sewing speed!!
I be-leave the errors I was getting on my YA YA HAN b79 was due to file format, I was using PES file format (which works with Brothers machines) and getting errors, switched to EXP format (same design) exported from Artlink 8 ( as EXP file type ) as per the b79 manual ( see page 108 in b79 manual ) and now no errors. Did 2 designs and both went great with EXP file format!! So the b79 seems to be touchy as to what it eats for file designs...LOL But I can not find any info on the file type the b79 uses in the manual just what is said on page 108 about using Artlink 8 software, which you have to down load and install, its FREE so no problem there.
Not so sure yet about this machine (VA VA HAN b79) after doing an hour long 5 color, Large 5"x7" NEW embroidery design which was pledged with glitches. Failed upper thread warning when thread broke (happened twice), bobbin thread error kind of iffy when it ran out, biggest problem was failed to stop for color change, it just kept on sewing with wrong color, did this on 3 color changes!! New Design (5"x7") that I was doing was made on the Creator 9 software that came with machine, I will run this same design on my brother SE1900 and see how it handles it before I make a firm comment on this machine but this is the second time I have used this NEW b79 for embroidery and it had glitches then also. I do have the latest update on the firmware installed, did that when I first bought the machine. So far...... overall opinion of doing embroidery on any home type machine is iffy at best, always has problems, in other words.... you can't always say the design came out OK on the first try. Always do a test on scrap fabric before wasting the good fabric on a new embroidery design that you have never done before, even if you have done the design before the results may not be the same as the first time, just depends on so many things that can go wrong and sometimes do. But it is a fun hobby and I do enjoy the challenges of it...😃
Yaya Han is definitely the OG Queen of Cosplay!

Can you sew while the embroidery module is connected?
This machine does not allow you to sew while the unit is connected.
@@rockymountainsewingandvacuumCan I connect a Wi-fi module to the bernette b79? Thank you.
