    That is a really cool gadget. Most of the times, I'm envious of the access to craft, household and garden goods you have over there. At least you'll still manufacture and the products are reasonably priced unlike in the UK. Even if it's a UK brand and made in the UK or not, it'll cost an arm and a leg to buy. 😅 Sometimes, it's still cheaper for me to buy from US or Canada but not now due to increase in postal prices. No wonder sites like Tmu are an attractive option though I've yet to try 🙂

      @sdcgren6301 The Grace Cutie Breeze is perfect for a domestic machine! You can use the foot pedal, but if you have a start/stop button on your machine you can utilize that. I have a Bernette B70 and I love it. It has the basting stitch to prevent the fabric from being puckered. The screen shows where exactly the needle is while it's doing embroidery. If the stitches failed, I could go back to that point and let the needle run again. The machine stitches beautifully. I have Brother SE700, and the stitches are not that good. Also, I broke the needle many times while using Brother. I've been using B70 for almost a year and I never change the needle. I still use the original needle that comes with the machine. I made tons of keychains using faux leather on B70. Some designs I used were quite dense too. My B70 handled them without complaining. One thing I don't like about the Bernette B70 is the bobbin case. It is so sensitive. I just figured out that my B70 only likes 60W bobbin thread. If I use a 90W thread, the bobbin stitch on the back is barely showing. That is only my complaint.

Once you select Sewing on the home screen, it will park the embroidery arm so you've got room to sew! If you have the NQ3700D, you will need to remove the arm in order to sew. Hope this helps!

Did 2 designs and both went great with EXP file format!! So the b79 seems to be touchy as to what it eats for file designs...LOL But I can not find any info on the file type the b79 uses in the manual just what is said on page 108 about using Artlink 8 software, which you have to down load and install, its FREE so no problem there.

    Just finished doing test of design on Brother SE1900 that was glitching on the VA VA HAN b79. It was perfect stitching on the SE1900 doing 5x7, NO GLITCHING at all, smooth, dependable stitching with no hic-ups compared to the Bernette VA VA HAN b79 which seemed to be having a bad day. So my opinion is..... I would trust my old trusty RECON SE1900 over my new VA VA HAN b79 machine, though I do miss the auto JUMP STITCH cutting on the VA VA HAN which the SE1900 doesn't do and I do like the larger 5 x 10 hoop on the b79 but the glitches I can do without!!!

  • @dewalt57
    @dewalt57 Месяц назад

    Question???? Is the embroidery speed controlled by the slider dial on the front of machine, I know the sewing speed is. When I was doing embroidery I could change speed with the slider on the VA VA HAN b79, my brother SE1900 does not work that way, it only controls sewing speed!!

  • @dewalt57
    @dewalt57 Месяц назад

    Not so sure yet about this machine (VA VA HAN b79) after doing an hour long 5 color, Large 5"x7" NEW embroidery design which was pledged with glitches. Failed upper thread warning when thread broke (happened twice), bobbin thread error kind of iffy when it ran out, biggest problem was failed to stop for color change, it just kept on sewing with wrong color, did this on 3 color changes!! New Design (5"x7") that I was doing was made on the Creator 9 software that came with machine, I will run this same design on my brother SE1900 and see how it handles it before I make a firm comment on this machine but this is the second time I have used this NEW b79 for embroidery and it had glitches then also. I do have the latest update on the firmware installed, did that when I first bought the machine. So far...... overall opinion of doing embroidery on any home type machine is iffy at best, always has problems, in other words.... you can't always say the design came out OK on the first try. Always do a test on scrap fabric before wasting the good fabric on a new embroidery design that you have never done before, even if you have done the design before the results may not be the same as the first time, just depends on so many things that can go wrong and sometimes do. But it is a fun hobby and I do enjoy the challenges of it...😃

    Can you embroider on vinyl with this machine?

    • @rockymountainsewingandvacuum
      @rockymountainsewingandvacuum Месяц назад

      You can! We'd recommend, depending on the weight of the vinyl, using a leather needle to aid the process. Don't forget - Unless it's something like OESD's Sparkle Vinyl with a nice fabric backing, you want to be sure the design isn't too dense so you don't create a hole punch! Happy Embroidering!

    • @fashionableminds6804
      @fashionableminds6804 Месяц назад

      @rockymountainsewingandvacuum thanks so much 😀 How do you know how dense a design is? Also, can you use a certain type of stabilizer to be able to use the more dense designs on the vinyl?

    • @rockymountainsewingandvacuum
      @rockymountainsewingandvacuum Месяц назад

      @fashionableminds6804 if you can see fabric through the design, it won't be too dense. A design like OESD's Summer Glow would be good! If it's dense, like Flora and Fauna with OESD, then you run the risk of it punching out. We usually recommend a tear away or cutaway, depending on the project. If you want more detailed help, give our number a call and we can guide you a little better! 888-897-6362

      The Cutie Frame works very similarly to the Cutie Breeze. The biggest differences you'll see is assembly has several more steps on the original, and the carriage the machine sits on has handles that go underneath your quilt. You can eventually upgrade that carriage to the Breeze's carriage, though, so you've got options!
