XPro 1 is the OG king! I had one for a bit a few years ago and cursed a lot at it at first but then gradually it grew on me with it's quirks until I loved it. Then I was a stupid a-hole and sold it towards a XE2 when I should have just saved my money for longer and been patient. Now these days here in Japan I am always on the look out for a good one at the used camera shops and hope to land one again to use vintage primes on it. Cheers for the great video bro. Keep em coming 🙏
Noo! Well hopefully you'll get to pick one up again soon bro! What are you shoot with these days? If I find one here for a great price, I'll pick it up and bring it with me to Japan for you 😂👌
Leo Galang ..That would be a huge favor! 😆 These days its my XPro 3 (just did a video for it on my channel), XH1, X100F and very soon I will shoot film for the first time on the steets with my Olympus OM1. And make a video on that experience too. 🤙

i don't know if somebody already mentioned it, but it's not a glitch. Once x-pro1 goes into sleep for more than 2mins or 24mins (depends on if your quick start mode is on/off) and into DEEP sleep more, all you need to do is to full press shutter mode than 1 sec for it to restart, rather than just half press :)
I found the manual peak option really difficult. I started using manual lenses with my X-T30 and it's so much easier but that's 8 years newer technology.
I have the X-pro3 for almost 10 months now and I agree about what you said over OVF. I love using the OVF more than the EVF. Thanks for uploading this because I'm actually trying to buy the X-pro1 as my back up and heard a lot of good feedback. This video convinced me to buy the X-pro1 than the X-pro2.
I bought a used xpro1 three years ago. It was such a great fun to use. Reluctantly the shutter was down last year. I missed it so much (although I still have Leica M240 and Canon EosR), and finally I bought another used xpro1 in very good price.

Photonerd the internal settings are lost if you don’t have a battery with power in there for around 7 days, so anyone reading make sure you power up from time to time
I payed just under £300 last year but it is in excellent condition and I love it. I don't go around rapidly firing off shots, in fact I have quite a few vintage Leicas and I tend to use it as I would one of those in other worlds no rush mode. They are a good looking camera and a pleasure to use. I only shoot jpegs and the film simulations are excellent too. My only negative is that I like using vintage glass but the focus peaking, which is white only, leaves a little to be desired. The hybrid viewfinder is ideal for saving battery power and yes mine sometimes goes to sleep and won't wake up but as you say easily overcome by turning it off and on again. I use it in manual mode, so easy with proper controls and use it with auto ISO.
The issue you have where you have to turn it off and on again is something I've experienced with my X100S too. I assume the X-Pro1 has another one of the annoyances of the X100S - if it's writing images to SD, you turn it off, and then change your mind, you have to sit and wait for the buffer to be clear before you can shoot more. If you don't turn it off, you don't have to wait, you can just do a half press of the shutter and start shooting. Both these things drove me nuts with the X100S!

I own one since last summer, got it for about 200€. I had a bit of a hard time getting used to it coming from the E2. I felt like the EVF is lacking and also having no wifi was annoying. Also when I first took it out my vintage lens got foggy inside and I could not really use the system. Just a bad start. I put the camera on the shelf again using it now and then. However as I lend the E2 to my father I really got used to the Pro1 and actually do not want to switch back. The Pro1 is a camera I can not imagine selling again. It is so much value for hat I paid, it would not make sense. I had been waiting for the prices of the Pro2 really drop to obtain one but at the moment I feel the Pro1 is good enough for me.
