My heart goes out to Patrick, I survived the flesh eating bacteria twice. It’s a horrible thing to go through, something I would not wish on my worst enemy. What his stepson did is just beyond disgusting.
So much about "a mother always knows her own child" trope. It's incredible what some people will do. At least he got a somewhat decent jail sentence. I was holding my breath as judge was reading all the horrific aspects of the case because I thought at the end she will say - "I sentence you to 3 years of prison".
As a doctor I will assume he is intelligent, despite whatever mental health issues he has, so why he thought he could 'evade' CCTV is astonishing. Another great video Kevin 😊
He did know about the CCTVs because he had dressed to cover up every part of himself when he was moving around and he also put false number plates on the car. What gave him away was when they tracked him after he left the victim's house, saw that he had returned to his hotel and not to the hospital, and found that the hotel did not have any guest with the name of the nurse.

Raj Patel is the Indian equivalent of John Smith--the most generic name imaginable. In that photograph of him in disguise, his make-up is a bit thin in places and you can see his real skin tone showing through. And "Happy House Surgery" is one of the most absurdly creepy names I've ever heard.

I haven't watched it yet, but there is a video uploaded today on Inside Edition of doctors who ended up behind bars, and I've heard of plenty of other stories as well about doctors not being ethical. And actually Truly Criminal has a great video on one of the most disgusting docs that I can recall... check it out. Has to do with "Dr. Christopher Duntsch".
The story of Thomas Quan truly gives me chills, as a doctor could meticulously plan to harm his own family. It makes me wonder if there are similar plots happening in other families that we have no idea about?

I mean she dragged him from one home and then sent him off to boarding school the first chance she got. It in no way justifys what he did, but I definitely understand. People have their limits, we can be quite careless with the lives of others and then act shocked when they snap. We’re animals after all, we don’t pretend not to know what went wrong when wild animals lash out, but when it comes to humans we expect civility at any and all costs
@tapdancingrabbits124 It wasn't about inheritance, you are correct. The son didn't feel his mother gave him enough attention as a child.
My heart goes out to Patrick, I survived the flesh eating bacteria twice. It’s a horrible thing to go through, something I would not wish on my worst enemy. What his stepson did is just beyond disgusting.
He's in JAIL where HE BELONGS !!
Wow I’m in the UK and haven’t heard this case, thank you Kevin! Awful what happened to poor Patrick 😔
I live in the UK but never heard about this so thank you Kevin
This story is wild , it should be turned to a movie .
It would be a rather short movie and very painful for the survivor to have to deal with.
There's always something they overlook, or can't do anything about.
That Doctor’s Oath, how horrible’Doctor’! 😡 Thank you for the story Kevin, great job on it.🤗❤️
Thomas, before it’s your money, it’s their money.
In 2024 and since the era of internet there are tons of way to make good money from a smartphone or a computer. You can learn anything for free and start businesses with no money. But some people are too lazy and prefer preying on other people's money...
No kidding!
Excellent coverage of a WILD story. Thank you, Kevin. (a fan from Greece)
3:51 That face! 😮😂 Looks like a police sketch
😂😂😂
Hahaha, it was only a picture. Not a police sketch
@@SunnyByNoon Yeah I know, I don't know what's up with the fake facial hair It's almost like It's made with a crayon 🤣
😂💯
🤣🤣
I've just come across your channel and subscribed. Your calm delivery and especially the lack of background music over the narration makes your channel stand out from similar channels. I hope to become a regular listener.
I just love ur voice. Very soothing 😄
Yeah.
Yes it is !!
Definitely the worst case of vindictiveness and entitlement! Well explained, as usual.
Thank you Kevin, for another case I had not heard of before. Sunday's are always made better by a new JTL video upload.
I truly enjoy JTL 😊
My jaw dropped multiple times on this story. This is mystery novel level stuff! Absolutely insane!
Entitled beyond words.
Wow. Super disturbing.
Wow… just when I thought I’d seen everything😳 . Cant even trust the family GP now…Thank you again Kevin for your work on this.
This story was WILD even more when you realize this is REAL LIFE wowzers
Wow, UK here. I haven't heard of this crazy case. Thank you for covering it.
Thanks for your excellent content and presentation, JTL!
Thanks for being here 🙂
Wow.. from I'm the UK, London and have never heard of this crime.. Thanks for posting.
The story of Thomas Quan truly gives me chills, as a doctor could meticulously plan to harm his own family. It makes me wonder if there are similar plots happening in other families that we have no idea about?
Well, his target wasn't his relation/family, but of course there are many other diabolical people like this. This certainly isn't a one-off sort of thing.
Wow I have friends living in St Thomas Street, I live around 10 minutes from this hospital! I've never heard of this case, well narrated and researched so well, Ty Kevin.
My thoughts are with Patrick and his Wife, may God bless them both 💜
She wasn't his wife, and they've separated.
@@loveforeignaccents semantics, I still offer my thoughts!
Great story and presentation as always Kevin.♥What a pity this resulted in the breakdown of Patrick and Jenny's relationship. The level of planning and deception is amazing and Thomas has now totally wrecked his own (previously successful) life.
Just a thought... We don't know much about the couple and maybe it wasn't meant to be regardless of the incident.
I really like listening to the channel's crime stories every night, because it helps me sleep easily
This is insane 😮
Wow. Thomas was a pretty messed up individual...!
Another well produced and presented video thank you. Honestly think you guys are the best
Kevin. Your productions are superior. And you deliver on your message in preamble
I could recognize any of my adult children in any disguise…especially if they spent 40 minutes in my home. Crazy!
Exactly lol my parents could pick me out if I had a wig and mustache .
I don't have kids, but I would definitely recognize my niece, nephew, any of my first cousins -- although I rarely see them -- coworkers, etc. Hell, even some of my delivery drivers or employees from the grocery store that I frequent. Mom must have been delusional or not the brightest bulb.
Some people are faceblind. I came home after a year at uni and went past my mom on the street. 😅
@@LuizAlexPhoenix…but would you have spent 40 minutes in her home and not recognized her? That’s the unbelievable part.
Hello, Kevin, and Thank You for an Excellent video! This is Absolutely Terrifying! Beyond Diabolical!
As a Brit, I find it hilarious that there are subtitles put on people talking in a Geordie accent 😂🤣
Good morning, Kevin! I hope you're doing well. I just want to thank you for what I anticipate will be another amazing video! I've already hit the "like" button, of course. Now, I'm off to watch your upload! Thank you again! ❤
JTL you did it again thank you Kevin you are a perfect narrator your detailed information is spot on. I love how you dive into a story telling it in a methodical way
The government has the same access to your computer
That was wild! Wow.
Oh JTL.... I'm speechless. 💔
He actually got a really long sentence for attempted murder. It's sad that he in a way actually achieved his goal of causing his mum pain. Obviously after such a long relationship it hurt both Patrick and his partner.
There’s no way you don’t recognize your own child who is only wearing a fake goatee especially as close as he was to them at this house during this event
Well, he should have been recognized, especially by mom, but to be fair, he obviously had more than just a fake goatee going on.
Confused 😵💫😵💫😵💫
HOW does a Mother TWICE see her own son, and not recognize him ?
WTHECK?
I have one child, my son.
I promise you, I’d know my boy❤️
Even with that silly fake looking disguise. Facemask, gloves, and hat covering.
That rug on his head was atrocious , creepy, a dead giveaway.
I guarantee you, my response wouldn’t be, you’re my sons height.
It would’ve been, uh, Son. WTHECK?
His eyes would give him away to me in a nanosecond.
Hmmmm, just wondering, was Mother and Son sooo disconnected?
Sad, just sad, and Evil.
The way you tell the story is so refreshing and so easy to understand and listen to! Thank you for your hard work ❤️
How dumb can someone be to think they could get away with this? 😅
This is a wild situation !!! thx Kevin!!
What a story... How heartbreaking. Great reporting as always.
Makes me glad to not be rushing out to get boosted.
This sounds like it was written by someone who has a wild imagination, but who was also in charge of coming up with a backstory because info was leaked about the skin eating bacteria.
No one should get boosted.
Love that your subscription is getting higher ❤
I'm from the UK and have never heard of this case. Thank You for telling it. An arrogant doctor, who would have thought such a thing was possible, and an entitled greedy son is a deadly combination.
If my son came to my home with bowl wig, Luigi stash and 😈 goatee I WOULD most certainly recognize him.
I shouldn't laugh, but your comment gave me a chuckle!
I am so glad Mr O'Hara survived. My heart goes out to him.
What a horrible, horrible crime.
JTL 💯 THE BEST TRUECRIME CHANNEL!!
Perfectly done as always ✔️
I’m from England & I’ve never heard of this case. Thank you Kevin!! x
🏴❤️
one would think a Dr. would have his own property to worry with.
Wow. That was well done. Bravo.
If my nurse looked like this guy....I'd take my chances with covid! Looks like a villain from a Bond movie...for real.
What an incredible, Kafkaesque case! I appreciate your professional coverage, Kevin. You have a very soothing voice.
The best true crime on RUclips. Just commenting for algorithm.
Thanks for another really interesting video, I hadn't heard of this case before
Thank you Kevin and team for sharing 💜🙏
One of the best crime teller. 🎉 😢 that's for the souls who are left in the wake of these horrible people. 😢
Another great video! You do such a wonderful job telling these stories! Thank you! 🙏
