I second this opinion. I’m new to this channel but enjoying this video already. He speaks nicely and in a clear voice that has good speed, not too fast nor too slow. It’s nice to listen to. 😎
The main kicker in this story is that Jonathan hardly had gun residue on his right hand and at the point of impact while Brenda had gun residue littered on both hands and the clothes she was wearing. So how could she be in the restroom when he was shot? She literally had more residue on her chest than he had on his chest.
They didn't even test his whole hand on either side so of course she had more residue. How crazy is it that they didn't even fully test his hands. We will ne er know how much residue he had on his hands because the cops went into this case with blinders on believing that she shot him. Now that is how innocent people end up in jail. I don't know about you but I want the right person put in jail 100 percent of the time. Innocent people look guilty a lot of the time through others eyes.
Great coverage of this case, a really tragic case. No financial settlement could compare to a proper verdict though and I think we all know what it should have been

Listening to her on the 911 call made me very suspicious. Then supposedly he suicided but not with a head shot? And his last words were all praising her? Give me a break! If you tried writing that nonsense in a book people would immediately say how ludicrous and unbelievable it was. If I was her new husband I'd be very wary.
Jonathan seemed like a catch - a responsible young man with a loving family and good friends. It's just gut wrenching when kind people like that end up with heartless abusers like Brenda. I can't even begin to imagine the pain his family is going through. If only time could be turned back in cases like this. She deserves to be locked up forever.

Sheila Wysocki is an incredible investigator. I'm glad the family was able to win the civil suit, and hopefully one day they can prove what that heartless woman did to Jonathan and get her behind bars where she belongs.
Brenda is a sick puppy! Going insanely jealous of a girl who simply hugged Jonathan is a huge red flag! Jonathan seemed to be respectful and very wise. There is no way one could put a bandaid on such enraged jealousy. I am incredibly sorry for him and all his loved ones. Brenda's guilt is obvious.
Were they living together? It was unclear. Either way, she should have known what the name of that apartment complex was either by living there or visiting there so often.
@loveforeignaccents It says in the video that in the text message he sent out, he said he was pushing her stuff. She probably practically lived there, maybe would stay over a lot and left stuff behind.
He did NOT tell her he was breaking up, he chickened out that night (like many of us do). She went through his phone while he was sleeping found the text saying he was going to break up with her. Then she sent a text from his phone saying "I want to die". Then pulled the trigger aiming for the heart!
Oooo that's a good one. I had a hypothesis too. It's possible she fantasized about killing while he slept so she took the magazine out of the gun, and now believing it to be empty, aimed and pulled the trigger, not realizing one was in the chamber. In a panic it took her 45 minutes to concoct and stage the suicide story. And not intending to kill him, the emotion is genuine, and explains the freudian slip on the 911 call.
I really hope that if I am in a house with someone who dies and cops who believe that I killed him so they don't even bother with getting all if the evidence...I really really hope that you are not one of the jurors at my trial. How would I ever get a fair trial ?
I have 2 sons- I repeatedly tell them if your girlfriend’s are jealous to the point your not allowed to talk to girls - Leave. My son are now 30 and 32- I’ve witnessed some of their girlfriends jealous to the point where there not even allowed to look at girls. My sons are learning their lessons.
To say, "i love you, here I'll prove it" before suicide is extremely rare. People kill themselves out of despair in depression, or because they see something as too great to get past & they don't want to deal with the consequences (in a very general sense). The "I love you, I'll prove it" is a narcissistic thought by a murderer who wanted to be the centre of someone's world but wasn't. So it's their way trying to fool the world that they were, along with themselves (in that everyone else saying, "poor baby, he did this cos his love for you was so great" type things). I feel bad that there wasn't more evidence to point to a clear conclusion both for his family & LE & the community.
So.. a right-handed man with extensive knowledge of guns, shot himself on his left side, then took the clip out, putting it in the drawer and they don't have enough to prosecute?? I'm sure we all know she sent that text as well.
It's gotta be because the medical examiner ruled it undetermined. If they ever reopen it and classify his death as a homicide she's getting arrested, no doubt.
Did they not test the phone for fingerprints? The killer is the last one who used that phone. If her prints are on the buttons "I want to die" ... case closed.
It's not as crazy as you think people have shot themselves in the heart and lived long enough to shoot themselves again, put things away and even text. If you were going to shoot yourself in the heart then most likely you would aim directly into the heart which is located on the left side. If this man was so knowledgeable about guns then why the heck would he leave it ready to go in his drawer? Not very wise...especially if he was in a highly emotional situation.
This is such a sad story, my thoughts are with his family. And I would love to know why there wasn't a second opinion for the autopsy and why the case hasn't gone forward.
I have only recently discovered your channel. Sooooo of course I've been binge watching as far back as a year. I enjoy your presentations so much. 💕 Edit: new subscriber !
This case needs reopened and further investigated. I believe Brenda killed Jonathan. She has a life history of lying, she's controlling and jealous, and she pleaded the 5th on every question asked in court. The woman has residue all over her hands and clothes. I could go on, but the point is...don't let Brenda get away with murder. Jonathan deserves justice! My prayers go out to the family.
Actually most of what you said has an answer for. Taking the 5th while you are on the stand is what most people do in a civil case because it's too risky not to. Next, they never tested his hands for residue and clubbed up other evidence as well. Finally, you said "I believe Brenda killed Johnathon" which means there is reasonable doubt. You are not supposed to put someone in jail over a belief or feeling...you are supposed to be 100 percent positive before you take away someone's life. What if your belief is wrong? It happens you know.
I can’t imagine what Jonathan’s family has and still endure. I do not believe for a second he shot himself. It’s ridiculous!!! My sympathy to all his loved ones. May he rest in peace. Excellent work as always on the video. I believe in Karma. What goes around, comes around. Eventually Brenda will answer for her dark deeds.
I'm glad he asked his sister for permission and it wasn't the sister who set them up or she'd have to live with all that guilt, setting her brother up with a murdering psycho.
I just want to know how you all know something about this case that the district attorney didn't know. I didn't see evidence that supports your verdict. It may look as though she did it but do you really know this 100 percent without any reasonable doubt? I don't. Especially because the evidence wasn't gathered that could have proven or disproven this case. Things are not always as they appear.
I have recently found this channel, RUclips knows how much I watch true crime. Thanks for the great content and your hard work. My second passion is my garden. Any murder mysteries involving the garden, the tools or dirt? When I lived in the Florida Keys there was a radio flea market and they measured the freezers for sale by how many bodies they would hold. I know, gruesome!
Hi what a horrible thought about the freezers…chilling! 🤭 No seriously, I never, in a hundred years would ever have thought that myself…some people huh? SMH 🤦♀️
Hi Kevin and all, Johnathon was killed by Brenda, its so obvious, well researched and eloquently narrated. My thoughts being with Johnathon's family. Rip Johnathon 💚
The fact that they were only dating for 10 weeks and she wanted him to cut ties with friends .. that shows she was controlling and manipulative and insecure she was. She clearly snapped when he broke it off n killed him anyone with common sense after hearing the evidence will come to the same conclusion. Also the police did a bad job at collective evidence why only swap the outsides of the hands and not the inside of his hands for GSR… this case infuriates me cuz this woman got away with murder. My prayers go out to the family and to the victim.
What a load of crap, it's clear she killed him when you set out all the facts. Any normal person would convict her. That husband she married best be sleeping with one eye open. I'd divorce her and take the kids.
She did it..no doubt. I wish the office had tested thier clothes and visited what it could have proved it right there. It's disgusting that the police are not arresting her. That's horrible.
How the hell she got gun residue in her two hands, takes time so long to call 911, and phone smashed, didn't enough to sue the her??? Seriously?? Are the police there have some brain or what
This makes me so angry. Just because cause of death was undetermined it doesn’t mean they can’t conduct a case when it’s painfully obvious the guy wasn’t suicidal.
I think it’s more likely that he chickened out on breaking up with her HOWEVER she being so paranoid and jealous she found the message to his sister on his cell phone. I think he invited her over and after he fell asleep she scrolled his phone-she sent the txt-she smashed and hid the phone. She snuck out his gun and may or may not have confronted him while pointing his gun at his chest and she shot him. She definitely shot him.
ProTip: Never testify at your own trial if you plan to plead the fifth for every question during cross-examination. That's a terrible look no matter how you slice it, and I have no idea why the hell her attorney would even allow her to do that. Then again, she seems incredibly thick-headed and stubborn so she probably insisted she was going to take the stand and tell her story no matter what. It's a shame she wasn't criminally charged because it's pretty obvious what happened here.
The reason her attorney let her do that is because it is very risky taking the stand at your own trial and that is why you rarely see the accused taking the stand in a criminal case. People judge others very harshly on every little aspect or detail. They don't only judge you on your words but on your appearance, the way you move and the tone you speak in. Just look at how everyone came to a conclusion about this woman in a 24 minute video.
He probably broke up with her and said he's going to bed, and left it at that, not thinking she would kill him. Never break up with anyone in person. I think she's guilty.
Just because she's been ordered by the court to pay $2million to his family, doesn't mean that they'll see a penny of it if she doesn't have it. 🤷♀️🤦♀️😭
$206 million. But yeah, unfortunately the family won't see a dime of that and the jury must have known that too. The verdict was symbolic as they were undoubtedly convinced of her guilt.
@@Jeffmorgan83 Why not 2 bagillion dollars lol? Yeah I'll never understand civil cases. If she legit didn't kill him, that's unfair to her. They believed she was responsible for his death. Based on what? If he killed himself, she's not responsible for that.
I personally don’t have friends with the opposite gender while in relationships because I don’t like to create misunderstandings and trying to understand peoples intentions, or insecurities in relationships or let it open up the door, to people hitting on me while in a relationship. I actually understand why Brenda would feel uncomfortable. But, I think she should have just taken the high road and faced her feelings on it. She should have just accepted their values didn’t align with one another.
Reading the comments before knowing the final verdict is already making my blood boil. When someone, the real victim, is served injustice I feel like I’m watching OJ getting away with murder again
I just don’t get how you could kill someone and then just go on with your life like nothing happened. I mean I understand logically but not in my heart and yet it happens all the time
Brenda’s reaction to the hug with Emily, the raging jealousy, and constant needling about it were so many red flags. Man, he should have dumped her. She’d probably start stalking him though, and he would have ended up dead anyway. It’s hard to beat a psychopath.
She gave herself away when she latched onto the police’s useful suggestion that he had shot himself (in the 911 call) ; she obviously hadn’t got as far as considering this as a possible scenario.
The first thing she said in the call was that Johnathan shot himself in the heart. She just used the wrong tenses. She said he was shooting himself in the heart. So we have to use something else for her guilt like for example gunshot residue on both of her hands.
A man who wasn't willing to give up his close friends for a girl would NEVER turn around hours later and give up his LIFE for her!

This is no where near the diabolical case of Jodi Arias.

All your episodes are interesting and well told. Your voice is just so soothing and calm you stand out among many great true crime channels.
Wow! You have the talent for doing documentaries, very precise
explanations like its a movie.
Great coverage of this case, a really tragic case. No financial settlement could compare to a proper verdict though and I think we all know what it should have been
She did it😢 and that sucks that they haven't pressed charges. Her husband better watch out!!!
Kevin, I'm binge watching your channel when I have other things to do. Best crime channel on YT. You are respectful to your audience in your reporting, no banging music, no dramatic voice over. Well done!!
This case makes me angry, how can they allow this woman who was the only witness to get away with this, zero accountability 🤬
Insecurities and jealousy never work in a relationship
Jonathan seemed like a catch - a responsible young man with a loving family and good friends. It's just gut wrenching when kind people like that end up with heartless abusers like Brenda. I can't even begin to imagine the pain his family is going through. If only time could be turned back in cases like this. She deserves to be locked up forever.
People say stuff like this "a responsible young man with a loving family and good friends" after someone dies only.
When the poor guy was alive, I bet all his ex gfs called him "Narcissist".
Women are hard to understand lol

Hello everyone! Thank you Kevin for another great video! I love your channel.
Hello to you as well!
How incredibly sad. She couldn't deal with being out, which was all her fault in the first place.Brenda did it..
It's time to run for the hills if your new girl friend gets bent out shape for hugging his friend which happened to be a female. This is very really sad.😢

Sheila Wysocki is an incredible investigator. I'm glad the family was able to win the civil suit, and hopefully one day they can prove what that heartless woman did to Jonathan and get her behind bars where she belongs.
She did it!

End of story.
She did it.
I am not even a minute in and she did it
I BELIEVE so too!
I knew she did it since the start.
Obvious.

I’ve told all my friends and family about you Kevin. Keep up the good work!
Appreciate it! Hope they enjoy the channel too 🙂
Brenda is a sick puppy!
Enjoying this non-bias, non-slanted narration. Great job! Thx!
I really like his videos but you have to admit he was a little bias on this particular case. Or were you making a joke?
Be careful who you let into your life. And for heaven's sake don't let them move into your home!
Were they living together? It was unclear. Either way, she should have known what the name of that apartment complex was either by living there or visiting there so often.
So true
@loveforeignaccents It says in the video that in the text message he sent out, he said he was pushing her stuff. She probably practically lived there, maybe would stay over a lot and left stuff behind.
There is so many crime podcast channel,bt this one is one of my best
She is guilty as hell...where is the justice for this man's life?😢
Unreasonable jealousy is a huge red flag. Run, don’t walk, away just as fast as you can from a relationship once it happens.
Been watching a number of your videos and absolutely LOVE your voice!! Thank you for telling good crime stories.
Good crime stories? listen to yourself smh
I like that you deliver impartial info
Excellent presentation, Kevin, as always!
You deliver a great case. Always 👏🏿
He did NOT tell her he was breaking up, he chickened out that night (like many of us do). She went through his phone while he was sleeping found the text saying he was going to break up with her. Then she sent a text from his phone saying "I want to die". Then pulled the trigger aiming for the heart!
maybe but you seem a bit strangely gleeful of your circumstantial hypothesis
@@adullsam what is a more likely hypothesis?
Oooo that's a good one. I had a hypothesis too. It's possible she fantasized about killing while he slept so she took the magazine out of the gun, and now believing it to be empty, aimed and pulled the trigger, not realizing one was in the chamber. In a panic it took her 45 minutes to concoct and stage the suicide story. And not intending to kill him, the emotion is genuine, and explains the freudian slip on the 911 call.
@@reignman30 Interesting theory, but I would say unlikely for a numbskull like this nut case
I really hope that if I am in a house with someone who dies and cops who believe that I killed him so they don't even bother with getting all if the evidence...I really really hope that you are not one of the jurors at my trial. How would I ever get a fair trial ?
YOU HAVE THE PERFECT VOICE AND I ❤ THE WAY YOU TELL THESE SITUATIONS
I have 2 sons- I repeatedly tell them if your girlfriend’s are jealous to the point your not allowed to talk to girls - Leave. My son are now 30 and 32- I’ve witnessed some of their girlfriends jealous to the point where there not even allowed to look at girls. My sons are learning their lessons.
Great story telling, narration voice and cadence! Great channel.
She reminds me of a girl I knew years ago who compulsively lies. She lied about pregnancies too. They want attention at all costs.. very sad.
Yup she did all that. After she texted Danny( his sister) she damaged the phone.
Magazine
I’m sorry…clearly she did it…very frustrating that they didn’t convict her…I feel for the family…it must be hard to live with…RIP Jonathan ❤
ugh.. that cry on the phone.. even a deaf will doubt it
I have only recently discovered your channel. Sooooo of course I've been binge watching as far back as a year. I enjoy your presentations so much. 💕 Edit: new subscriber !
Great report, Kevin 👍
Just because you have no documented history of depression, that doesn't mean you didn't have depression.
Oh yeah she will. Karma is real.
What a psychopath. Law enforcement really dropped the ball on this one
Exactly!
No seriously, I never, in a hundred years would ever have thought that myself…some people huh? SMH 🤦♀️
Never heard of such a request, but it made me chuckle.
You make great content, I rarely tell RUclipsrs that. Keep it up, awesome work
Hi Kevin and all, Johnathon was killed by Brenda, its so obvious, well researched and eloquently narrated. My thoughts being with Johnathon's family. Rip Johnathon 💚
Jonathan
First thing I said was "tell her to go knock on someone's door" then he tells her to do that after damn near 10 minutes
I love this channel ❤ gives us interesting real stories.
Love your channel. All the way from South Africa
Hello from Australia 🇦🇺✌️🤗🌼
Howzit 😀
💜🙏 prayers that new evidence come to light soon to finish the case
Awesome channel and narration-subscribed !!!
Yo this channel is so good!!!!!
Yep.
This is crazy! So many people have been convicted with less evidence 😢
There really wasn't that much evidence and the evidence they had was either screwed up by the police or not taken at all.
Always amazing content. Sending Love from Chicago Smooches 😘
I really hope and pray this family gets JUSTICE ⚖️
What a load of crap, it's clear she killed him when you set out all the facts. Any normal person would convict her. That husband she married best be sleeping with one eye open. I'd divorce her and take the kids.
She did it..no doubt. I wish the office had tested thier clothes and visited what it could have proved it right there. It's disgusting that the police are not arresting her. That's horrible.
How the hell she got gun residue in her two hands, takes time so long to call 911, and phone smashed, didn't enough to sue the her??? Seriously?? Are the police there have some brain or what
I watch few crime channels I enjoy yours One reason is because of your calming voice 😊
Excellent video.
Pleading the 5th for 90 minutes didn't hurt her case
You are getting really good at this . Keep up the great work.
This girl still has to meet her God.
I always wonder about the sap that marries the accused killer after her initial lover is dead… like wtf are you doing??
He probably broke up with her and said he's going to bed, and left it at that, not thinking she would kill him. Never break up with anyone in person. I think she's guilty.
And there's a high likelihood that she will do it again
i agree. owing someone a face to face is antiqued thinking. never underestimate a person being rejected.
This woman is guilty as sin! Poor guy. He definitely deserves justice!
Will still suck for her. She will never be able to own anything of value. In her name anyhow
People are quick to say she's guilty of murder and while I think she probably is, that's not enough to find her guilty in a court of law.
hope u upload more videos..sending love from the Philippines
Thanks Elizabeth! Hope you’re having a nice Sunday 🙂
Hey dispatchers, never tell the caller to “calm down.” 😕
I personally don’t have friends with the opposite gender while in relationships because I don’t like to create misunderstandings and trying to understand peoples intentions, or insecurities in relationships or let it open up the door, to people hitting on me while in a relationship.
I mean I understand logically but not in my heart and yet it happens all the time
I really like your content 👍😁
Glad the family won the civil suit. Hope that this woman hasn't a restful night, ever.
🎯
Brenda’s reaction to the hug with Emily, the raging jealousy, and constant needling about it were so many red flags. Man, he should have dumped her. She’d probably start stalking him though, and he would have ended up dead anyway. It’s hard to beat a psychopath.
She did it. I hope they finally bring charges. She needs to go to prison. Justice has not been served.
❤New Sub❤ Kevin your coverage was awesome!!! Unbiased and factual, a very interesting story. Its sad that the family.
