I was thinking that! After hearing what they said about it being WORSE to "lose" her? If I was the judge I'd double the sentence out of respect for Randy
Again a good person is taken away from their children due to selfishness, greed & betrayal. It is very sad that Randy’s children stood by their mother. As I’m sure that insurance money that was meant to be for the children was probably used on their mother court case. I can understand they didn’t want to lose another parent, and didn’t want to believe their mother could be involved in anyway. Bt her asking for that insurance money less than 24hrs after Randy’s death is beyond cold & callous.

This happened in my town. I remember my draw dropping when they announced the pastor who did his eulogy was who was charged with the murder. I agree eight years was not enough for Theresa. Although I didn't know him I think about Randy every time I drive past his office.
How awful these 2 people can be, the plan for the pastor’s wife was atrocious? Yes like the mother said, why not just divorce? Instead of using life insurance money, earn your own & go live your lives, leave the innocent spouses alone to live theirs. How selfish, evil they are, & this never works, ends with so many suffering. Teresa should have got a lot more years in prison. Wish peace to Randy’s kids & family. 🙏❤️
They wanted the life insurance money, especially the pastor. She thought it was still the beneficiary, so Randy may have known about or suspected the affair.
There are a few things I can’t wrap my head around with these types of stories: how can two people be so delusional as to think that they will get away with murder in their two spouses within a few months of each other? And how do they think they will find happiness after murdering other people? And finally, what do people who have cheated on their former spouse and been part of their murder find a new partner. Who would be crazy enough to date them???
Not to mention, if they get away with it and get to be with each other, how do they know they're not going to try to murder you someday to be with the next affair? You know they're capable.
Do these church members not know how to do Church discipline? Why keep people like this in positions of power? If you know there’s an affair, get it taken care of.
Or they could just behave like rational adults and established and adhere to their own moral guide posts without the benefit of a imaginary punishing deity. Works for a lot of us.
@@AllergicToFantasy Moral guide posts? Did you listen to the video? They have no moral guide posts. Besides, it has nothing to do with an “imaginary punishing deity.” I was taking about Church discipline. If you’re committing a sin like this, and leadership is aware, they have a responsibility to confront it and call for repentance. If they won’t repent, then they get removed from the Church.
Why go to those lengths when there’s divorce!! can’t wrap my head around why you would NEED a mother who was complicit in the murder of your father…RIP Randy ❤
The scorn that religious people heap on nonbelievers for their loose ways- divorce being one of those ways- makes it insanely difficult mentally for them to get a divorce… They want their sanctity at all costs
@@jerryjerrylahngenhairy4724 It's not really about what they're "fine with", it's about the optics. Divorce ain't good for those religious types in their community. So they convince themselves getting away with murder is the only option to maintain their reputation. If they pull it off, they're just poor innocent victims who get to cash in.
Thanks for all your research etc. in presenting this messed up crime drama. I met this murderer as my son attended his church and well most of us suspected him and his best friends wife as they weren't to hush hush about what looked like an affair to his church attendees and others were aware as they spent all their time together as I understood it. After this idiot was on the run my son and several others refused to attend any local church. Go figure.. Thanks again for the upload. Great channel!
Gotta love when religious people actually drive others AWAY from religion. That's why I say there is a vast different between religion and faith. I personally have faith... and no room/need for religious dogma.
Divorces are a pretty serious crime for the religious. So is murder obviously, but when you convince yourself you can get away with it, then it doesn't look like murder. You can't make divorce not look like divorce xD.
I'm just @ the part just after Randy's mother was shown on camera saying she thought he was 'a good father & husband...but maybe he wasn't a good husband...I don't know.' WTH?!? It's not like Randy was a murderer...he was MURDERED, & she's talking like that about her dead son? He didn't do anything to deserve words like that from HIS MOTHER! Again, I'm not even finished watching, but Randy's wife, the pastor & his mother all seem like really no good people. For shame!
eight years? they were going to break his wife's neck and roll her body down a hill in the car. I say 20 years minimum, possible parole after 15 or some such. Vipers, both of them.
Baptists are like the Godless out there, the worst of 'male' idolaters. Their entire theology may be summed up into just one sentence: Submit to the man as the head of the family, the head of the woman, the head of the church and the head of the community.
Also, the pastor's wife knew about his affair and did nothing. His married lover Theresa confided in ANOTHER pastor their scheme to kill his wife as well. And nobody bothered to confront these folks, fire the pastor, leave that church, or go to the police?
Hey Kevin, poor Randy guliable and hopeful!, what a pos Teresa and her love are truly monster's, she played with fire and deserved all she gets, and wow his wife was aware of his affair! So leave that pos not continue a sham marriage to David. I hope the children are thriving and realise there mother is gaf. Well narrated as always and so respectful, superbly researched. Rip Randy 💚
I'm not clear on if Kim knew who exactly he was having an affair with -- could be my Chardonnay at this point -- but if she knew it was with Teresa, I think she should have informed Randy; hopefully he would have simply filed for divorce shortly after hearing that and/or confronting her about it and would have still been alive today. Just a tragedy that didn't need to happen.
When his daughter said of her mom after she was convicted - 'losing my dad was hard but losing my mother would be harder'. So his whole family was rotten. Poor guy.
Theresa's behavior with the police was a bit odd but like you stated, people grieving the loss of a husband can sometimes behave 'oddly'. For instance, my veteran husband just recently died (self-inflicted gunshot wound) and when I first showed up and the deputy told me what happened, I was in so much shock, I felt like i was in a bad dream and it couldn't be true, and behaved as such. I didn’t break down til later in the morning when it all hit me like a ton of bricks 😢 But Theresa was laughing and smiling which made me suspicious, only bc of my own recent experience. Her subsequent behavior (and lies) were disgusting. I have no words for how horrible this woman is and what she did to her husband 😭💔
Like always, your videos are thorough, respectful and well done. Thanks. You're the best true crime commenter and investigator on RUclips. Teresa hisses like a snake 🐍, with all due respect to snakes 😧

I was thinking that! After hearing what they said about it being WORSE to "lose" her? If I was the judge I'd double the sentence out of respect for Randy
@@MarniBailey82 thanks a lot for your reply! i'm totally outraged by the same exact comment.
Their speech seemed a little fake or rehearsed to me. Part of the defense strategy I'm sure and the stupid jury fell for it.
Yeah...the whole pregnancy after her husband had a vasectomy. He should have left her then.
I haven't seen that much denial over a pregnancy since Jim Carry in Me, Myself, and Irene. Yep, nothing to see here, totally mine.
Good luck to her new partner. Such a vile, vile woman. Hope her kids have smelled the coffee by now.
yep shes gross religious small town karen !!
A respectable pastor never meets a parishioner for counseling alone.
Really? In other walks of life one-to-one meetings are commonplace.
Pastors snacking on people's wives is extremely common. Happens here in Africa too. They will have affairs with all the women in the church no problem.
If your wife is part of the church committee..... shame.
@@robbylebotha
Then those pastors aren’t religious people at all and neither are the people who get involved with them. The hypocrisy of “ religious “ people is just so offensive and disgusting.
It should have been the pastor and his wife together counseling her not alone
@@jedross2136
This is tragically also how things go wrong in other helping professions; for example in GP's consulting rooms where patients are even taking their clothes off in order to be examined by a person with authority they are coming to for help.
Kansas City native here, I remember when this happen it was sad. They say the devil goes to church also so beware of wolves and sheep’s wool.
Thanks for all of the hard work you put into these videos! Hope you and yours are well!
One thing seems worth remembering it sounds like Randy was an honest and devout man.He had integrity.
Our legal system has gotten way too soft on crime.
We do have the highest incarceration rate in the world, by a lot.
" soft" on women
I’m sorry but your mother is an evil devil. There’s a place in hell for these two monsters. Randy deserves so much better. Wish he rest in peace.
Theresa was just as guilty as the pastor but didnt pull the trigger. Should have been given many more years.
And their kids are just as psychotic as their mother. To sit up there and beg for mercy on her behalf after that bych conspired to murder their father is absolutely disgusting.
Hey, you calm down... She did what she thought she needed to do in order to be happy.
The kids were traumatized and not fully adult. Give them a break.
Yes I agree the victim was more righteous than the pastor. Pastor and victims wife were ruthless evil taking this man's life who just happened to be a very good kind honest person.
*victim's
As the mother of three law abiding sons, I’m getting pretty sick of the double standards with the men going to prison for life while the woman co-conspirator getting off with far less time… it’s sickening. And her kids? “Needing” their mother? What???
But in all honesty how insulting would it be to have your killer doing your funeral mass the man and so called friend who does that is no friend just an evil snake and no man of God 💯🤬🤬sick both of them are

No mass. They weren't Catholic.
This happened in my town. I remember my draw dropping when they announced the pastor who did his eulogy was who was charged with the murder. I agree eight years was not enough for Theresa. Although I didn't know him I think about Randy every time I drive past his office.
Who are these so-called pastors? They are just as evil as the societies they live in!

A murder committed to fulfill two people’s greed and lust! Randy was too good and trusting of his evil wife!
And his evil Pastor, whom he considered a friend.
Hi Kevin- love your show. Great work- getting right to the point with little interruptions
Omg I can't take her fake blubbering.... that new one better watch out😊
Anyone counted up how many of the Ten Commandments these two POS broke?
Great video Kevin, I really look forward to your cases! ❤
All the "ten commandments" Is advice everyone should have gotten from decent parenting: "Don't be a douchebag and don't steal stuff."
B-b-but religious people never do things this evil. Every other true crime story, "but they were a good christian, so they couldn't have done it".
I wish there's a video show her face when she just knew the insurance beneficiary is the children.
Karma for the witch and the eight year sentence gave the kids lots of time to their senses.
@@AllergicToFantasy
Moral guide posts? Did you listen to the video? They have no moral guide posts.
Besides, it has nothing to do with an “imaginary punishing deity.” I was taking about Church discipline. If you’re committing a sin like this, and leadership is aware, they have a responsibility to confront it and call for repentance. If they won’t repent, then they get removed from the Church.
Why go to those lengths when there’s divorce!! can’t wrap my head around why you would NEED a mother who was complicit in the murder of your father…RIP Randy ❤
people kill than to divorce. the church is cruel convincing people to stay married despite the evil,
The scorn that religious people heap on nonbelievers for their loose ways- divorce being one of those ways- makes it insanely difficult mentally for them to get a divorce…
They want their sanctity at all costs
@alzychoze6591 you're exactly right. I've never understood. Too ashamed to admit adultery, fine with committing murder
Insurance money ...
You put this together brilliantly. ❤
Thanks for the comment. Always appreciate hearing from anyone close to the cases we cover.
Gotta love when religious people actually drive others AWAY from religion. That's why I say there is a vast different between religion and faith. I personally have faith... and no room/need for religious dogma.

Another great episode I hadn't heard before. Thanks Kevin!
Randy, Thank You for your service 🇺🇸. RIP 🌸
I wonder how many people sit in church plotting murder? Rest in peace Randy.
The mother said it right. JUST GET A DIVORCE!!! SMH
Divorces are a pretty serious crime for the religious. So is murder obviously, but when you convince yourself you can get away with it, then it doesn't look like murder. You can't make divorce not look like divorce xD.
Well put together story, sad for Randy
Appreciate your hard work Kevin 💪 I enjoy the videos
Wow. What a tragedy. Idon't know how far you search to find these cases Kevin, but they sure are cases that make your viewers think. Thank you.
Eight years for assisting a murder…?
PS. To the owner of this channel...Your narration and videos are very well done!
This is where I lived..smh this is sad. He did the funeral. She knew everything smh did a pastor with a DUI? This was a mess!!
I think the pastor’s son got the DUI….
For shame!
Thanks Kevin for an interesting story, I can’t wait until your next video ❤️👏🏼
I enjoy your style and your respect for the survivors and everyone envoled. Be blessed
I will never understand how these kids pleaded for her mercy. Its disgusting.
Yep. I could see small children begging for this, but adult "children" after knowing what their mom had done that ultimately led to his killing?!?

Hi Kevin! Thanks for the upload! Can't wait to watch another great video.
a nonviolent drug charge can get u 15 years or more, i just don't understand the law at all either.
Congregation all know the pastor is having an affair but go to church putting their souls in his hands.UNBELIEVABLE.
What’s wrong with this dudes family. It’s like they didn’t even like him.
And he was the true family man. Their mom was out for herself.

My first time watching and will definitely subscribe! Enjoyed watching
I'm sorry but if that was my mother, then I'd consider myself a orphan. And I dang sure wouldn't date her.

There are so many dark secrets in a religious cult. These are where truly evil people congregate.
YES!!!!! Absolutely.
Aren’t most religions cults, just with varying degrees of control, intimidation and brainwashing? 🙂
This is a truly bad one 😢 poor Randy seemed like a good man. Trusting and decent. What a tragic end for the poor man.
This crime reminds me of the case in the 80s that occurred in Emporia, KS. A movie titled "Murder Ordained" depicts the case.
Good God, I'm sorry to hear that and so sorry for your loss. 🙏💟
@@loveforeignaccents Thank you, It's been really tough, not just for myself but for the kids too. 💔🙏🏼

This happened in my town, so shocking that they were going to murder his wife as well. No real love for their children.
Great stuff as usual Kevin
Imagine thinking murder is better than a divorce …even if their faith says “no to divorce”……pretty sure it says no to murder too
Nah, that's where you're wrong. It treats murder as a justifiable and often encouraged means to an end and it shows. The religious narrative is fundamentally toxic in many ways.
