  • In this video I'm sourcing new wood for my spoons from a large wild cherry tree that fell in a storm a couple of months ago. Long hike to the spot but mountain in spring is so beautiful. Sawing and splitting wood and then axing out spoon blanks Ill carve and decorate later.

      Glad you liked the video. It's a big tree and can yield a lot of spoons. A bit farther away so more hiking to do but it's warm and forest is beautiful this time of year. I've found one closer but it's on a crazy slope and that's a pain for working. Might try that one too one day if I manage to climb up to it. This one is in a nice flat spot which makes processing much easier 🙂
