I started playing without this guide and didn't figure out the controls until I had a friend explain them to me. Now that I've mastered manual drifting, there's no going back. There's a lot of nuance added to the game with the manual drifts and it gives you a lot of opportunities to react to situations by being able to time your drifts. On shorter sections before jump pads you can either time drifts early so you get the speed benefits or fully charge your drifts to get as much ult charge as possible without as much speed benefit.
Seeing CTR boosts puts a smile on my face. This is still a bit different in terms of boost mechanics as it fills up the ult bar and also gives some extra boost. Very cool
