The first name that came into my mind for the pinecone creature was 'Rustle', because it sounds a lot like Russel, but instead to me symbolises beautiful autumn days and the soft crunch of leaves. 😊
I'd like to see more of these redrawings of old art, it's always so interesting to see the change in artstyles and ideas and how the new piece might change compared to the original one. I also loved the 2nd art with the bird kind of creature, especially the original one, there's something twisted and somber and horror in it in a way. But the redraw also made it more happier and goofy almost, like this little creature having a little adventure and waving the leaves in it's hand and maybe even singing? My mind clearly went somewhere with that piece of art, already trying to create a story 🤣
I just love the "glow" all your marker pieces have... I don´t know if it is the blending, the colors or the shadows.. but your illustrations just have this soft glow and are just beautiful!
Marie, I love your current art style but I LOOOVEE the "voice" of your earlier stuff, especially the cat with the "muscley" ears. I definitely want to see more of the abstracty-line arty stuff if you're moved to do it. That two way face is my fave of the line art ones...
Totally random, but would you ever add your "Colorful Tiger Art Print" as a mask design like you have your "Rainbow Leapoard Nose Mask" design? I adore the print and would love to get a mask with the tiger's nose! :D
I would enjoy seeing your old art very much. And going back to your childhood art would be something I'd like to see. Thanks for all the great content. And wonderful Art.
Thank you for being open and sharing your old art and sketchbooks with us! I'd love to see you go through your works analyzing them more thoroughly, maybe in chronological order, while discussing how your art style changed and evolved over the years. That would be really interesting and insightful. Also, I love the little pinecone guy so much and he is definitely a forest spirit! ❤️✨ I imagine him being the one responsible for the changes of the leaves on the trees, maybe he is the one gathering them when they start to fall. ☺️
Absolutely love all your art, the newer ones are so nice and clean, but the older ones are so original and unique! Sometimes I wonder as well how would my current artstyle would look without all the influences from infinite artists and tutorials that might have helped me a lot, but at the same time my art kind of blended together with external influences. Looking forward to a video of your art pieces in the box and sketchbooks!
I would love to watch you sorting all your art! And it would be great if you turn this "recreating old art" into a series. It's so fun to watch and to hear the stories behind 🖤🌿 Also...Franksteins wife looks amazing!!! 😻 and I do love the creature you drew with only the lines and fineliner. If you want to explore this style again, I would love to watch a video about it! 🖤
@@MintysSketchbook know your artwork is very amazing the last time I tried to do the design was when I was 9 trust me that didn't go good the app that I was using was super buggy and I wasn't a good artist back then and I'm still improving I think your artwork is amazing you just said it RUclips channel an art cuz I'm sure you would get a bunch of likes me being one of them

I watched this video with my daughter who couldn't sleep because she'll have her first school day tomorrow. We both adored the snufkin cat (both versions). I fell in love with the old whimsical version of your wood creature, as I'm a fan of that loose whimsical slightly creepy style. She preferred the new one, mostly because of the eyes. We both really liked the coloured version of the third drawing (although I found the looser old version quite charming as well). Oh, and thank you very much for the lovely video. We really enjoyed our cozy time together watching your art and listening to your voice.
I think that by far, my favorite part of this video was seeing your sketchbooks! After years of being online and seeing photos of sketchbooks with all of this fancy, elaborate stuff inside, it was really refreshing to see that not every page in your sketchbooks was like that. Your sketchbooks were true work spaces; some pages were nothing but doodles while some pages had pieces you planned out and finished enough to transfer to fancier paper. Seeing sketchbooks like yours makes me feel better about my own, and makes me feel that I haven't been wasting paper if I haven't been making every page a masterpiece.
I'm in love with ur art and ur personality... i definitely love to see u re_draw ur art... I like it when u make new characters, plz name them and involve all of them in a big piece 😍
I really love your current art! I think there's something really beautiful and skillful in making pieces that bring out feelings of comfort and harmony while not being messy and clustered.
What you said about social media is so true! I absolutely adore your old art, its so original. What you do on this channel is just the tip of the iceberg of your talent. I loved the sketch of the little owl on the bonsai. I’d love to see you do that one.
Uuugghhhhhaaaahhhhh. Ur killing me with anticipation 😭😭 I'm dying to see the Sumi ink. DO THE SUMI INK PAALLEEASE.👩🎨🖌️🎨 PRETTY PLEEEEASE🙏🙏🙏🥺. I would looove to see all of the art in the box. I love this idea of redrawing old art. 🖼️🖌️🎨 🤩 Can't wait till next Saturday 😍😍🥰😘
I would love to watch you redraw and color more old artwork. I really enjoyed this video. And the end results with the markers are so vibrant and satisfying.
Pinecone creature was my favorite, definitely a forest spirit! I enjoy you looking through your old art and trying to improve them or updating to your current art style.
Woah it was so nostalgic to see those MLP and RUclipsr drawings!!! It’s been such a fun time to see you grow as an artist and as a person :D Also loved seeing you redraw these pieces!!
Yes, I loved this video! Turn it into a series please! It's fun to see you turn your sketches into art, and redraw some old ones. Greetings from Sweden!
Love the little pinecone guy. I'd call him a Pinesprite, he looks like he or she tidies up the forest floor, organising where new trees can grow, and putting the old leaves out for bedding and sorting the best food for the forest creatures. Lol, I'm a typical artist, I see a picture or painting and I imagine a story about it.. Love the cat and your scene, however, the Pinesprite set my imagination going.. 👍😻🇬🇧😁❤️
Name him Powell (he reminds me of a cross between a pine cone and an owl). I would love an "art box" tour. That would also be an interesting video to see a possible new display option for them. I know most people get like book portfolios I wonder if there could be another way... (no clue what, but you're so creative I bet you could come up with something really interesting. )
The pinecone creature reminded me of little animals we used to do in autumn of fallen chestnuts, acorns and pinecones. Mum helped me to assemble them with matchstick legs etc. It made me feel so cozy watching you draw something similar. Please show more of your old art and redraw it! It’d be lovely to see!
Loved seeing the timeline of your art styles! Interesting hearing your thoughts about context and influence too, something that happens in art schools too. I hear that from one art school to the next there are "styles" from the influence of the staff there, that affect the whole cities art scene.
I realized only now, with this video, that i already knew your channel from the start because i used to be deep in the mlp fandom and recognized your older work! Your art and style changed so much i barely recognized you were the same channel!! I love your art and it inspires me a lot, thank you for sharing your amazing work with all of us ❤️
All of your art is so pretty. the little forest spirit is adorable I feel like it would be what makes that one leaf dance on the ground or the random acorn you find where there weren't any oak trees
there is no art piece of yours that i don´t like. i even love and adore most of them. one of my all-time favourites is the one with the mouse under the leaf 😍🥰 i had no internet for a while; now, that i can watch your videos again, my inspiration comes back. thank you for..well, being you :)💜🖤💫
Love this video! One of my favourite things to do is poke through my box of old artwork, I love the way you recreated ones with little stories behind them. The new versions are all beautiful, they just add to the stories of the older versions.
Awww, I'd like to see walkthrough your art video some day! (even walkthrough those sketchbooks! :) ) And the one at 4:35 should be a sticker! (or just to be put on anything on Redbubble) (well many others too actually, like the cute little dragon at 6:52 (or some that already are on Redbubble because I obviously got to watch this video pretty late lol)) I actually like the older drawing of kitty explorer better :). The forest spirit looks better in the second picture. And the third one turned out awesome!
