Pointillism... a beautiful, frustrating, and patience testing technique for many artists. Ooof. I've definitely done it a few times and I offer you an artist fist bump across the internet for doing it and doing it well. Nicely done!

You did a great job! I saw some other artists youtuber attempt to use those markers and just she just used them like normal markers. It was frustrating bc she had a skill share sponsorship that she could used herself to learn pointillism.

It was so cool to see you try your hand at pointilism with these markers. They actually ook really cool. I like both pieces, but that husky was particularly cute. I have a thing for huskies. It was nice to see your doodles and all the marks you could make with the markers/pens too. Thanks for sharing. Reminds me that I need to try pointilism.

I've always like pointillism. I admired the master of the late 1800's. You didn't even know they were points until you saw the painting close up. I love your two paintings. Especially the dog.

I loved your finished pieces, when I was younger I entered an Easter colouring competition and I coloured it with just dots and I actually 🥳won🥳 they said it was because I thought outside the box...😆...
I look forward to seeing more of your creations in your next video...
Take care & stay safe my lovely...

    The doggo is fantastic!
I tried Pointillism in an adult colouring book before, as I am just learning to draw myself. I used Sharpies so it had a very similar look to your doggo portrait. I have always wanted to try it out again but with fineliners, I think those pieces with hundreds or thousands of black dots look absolutely incredible and it would be fun to try it with a set of fineliners in different sizes to see how the different nibs help/hinder the process. That could be a good follow-up video from this one!

I had a section on pointillism in my high school art class, I found it the one color assignment to be the most difficult. It was hard to make all the different contrasting lines and shadows with just one little pen. It took forever! I drew a 57 Chevy. It came out pretty cool, but I lost a few points for the nose of the car being slightly shorter than it should have been. Still got a good grade though. I’ve never done it again, in 20+ years, lol.

I have these markers! They are indeed water-based. I painted the base colors of a sea turtle with them like watercolors, then the details of the turtle with dots. All I did was press the marker into a ceramic paint palette and pick it up with a brush! These markers are very relaxing to use, and like you said, they have a great doodle quality :)
Edit to add, I bought these when I saw your first Kuretake video. They intrigued me!

I like the dog. I love using fineliners to do stippling and these days I like that more than graphite, but whenever I add color things seem to go downhill. Well done for getting it done so well.

I love your dog portrait, reminds me of my first pointillism piece I did YEARS ago of our husky we had when he was a puppy. I was inspired by a Doberman head my father did using pointillism and it has always been my favorite piece of art he did. It looks neat in the end but it sure gave my hand a workout haha.

An interesting texture you managed to show, not sure if the paper was slightly shiny so caused this effect... but the bigger dots often looked like bubbles! where the natural depression and lift of the nib made a more saturated outline, lighter inner with a darker dot in the center where you lifted! very cute.

I had to do 1 piece in pointillism for my high school art class, I wound up doing a poster sized grey Great Dane. I'm not sure if I ever finished it or not, I had to use something along the lines of a fine point Sharpie although it was an actual marker. Wouldn't mind trying these out.
