  • Dredging a silted in ditch. At our Lowe's today and they have a drainage ditch that has about 18" of sediment backing it up. It has a concrete channel in the bottom of it that needs to be cleaned off and dressed up. I use the 260 to scrap it off and load the Pete, I hauled 4 loads of mud from this ditch. Once I get it graded out I need to smooth it out to reseed. I also have another ditch in the front of the property to clean out. Thanks for watching! #EliteEarthworks #Takeuchi #failingditch

Remarkable! Just like you… I don’t remember it ever being concrete.
I was gonna say that the water was coming from Rib Crib and McAlisters air conditioning condensate… until you pulled the plug. Then it was apparent that you’d drained the mosquito nursery!
I bet a lot of that sediment came from construction and TRASH!
Goodness knows, I’d driven by there a hundred times and never realized that those culverts were that plugged up.
Hope you had a great time in KC? Surely MrsEE found a place to shop… I mean what’s a trip to KC without a little BBQ and shopping?
Our 48th anniversary is next week… I’ve about exhausted all my ideas for ways to celebrate… think I ought to go for popcorn and Net Flicks this year or surprise her with plane tickets to Florida for Thanksgiving? Probably ought to flip that coin soon!

Well now I know why your plan changed from where you intended to start. There was a lot of water backed up in the pipe coming from underneath the road at the intersection. You probably did someone a favor back upstream by clearing that blockage. That was a cool little job. Have fun and be safe on your trip to KC.

Happy anniversary you two!! 15 years is awesome.
Now that you cleared it back so far, it will be nicer to mow,,, once it dries out. Great bed for the seed to germinate in though. It should take to your retirement to need cleaning again,,,,, what were you thinking?? 😂😂. There’s no job security in that!! Haha.
Looks much better Brandon. I lika this very much! See how the next ditch goes.
I was having coffee on the deck and nearly crapped my pants this morning!! (Noooo, not because of old age,,,,,, ). The deck where I was sitting is about 5 ft off the ground. Up pops the head of one scarred up old Grizzly bear boar!! 6 ft from my feet. Not sure who was more scared! I jumped up, ran towards the bear (bad habit,,, don’t ever scare me, I swing first ask questions later 😂😂) to the rail and he was slipping and scraping his way over the retaining wall he ran into. All I saw from that point was his rump, he didn’t even look back!! I left a gate near there open so he got into the fenced area and must have been wandering around for an hour or so. Left it open because the bears should be hibernating by now! He was pretty skinny though. Often a Grizzly boar will den late trying to get a few extra calories from hunters gut piles etc. He was old enough, by his size, to know about that. Guys like him often don’t wake up in the spring. If a boar does 20+ years in the wild, they really are old.
The gate is shut tonight!! Haha. I doubt he will be back. If he is there’s one hot, very hot wire on top of the chain link at about 6.5ft. He really was large framed for this area. Would have been amazing to see him in the spring or a year or two ago. After that, I know my heart is good for a loonngg time now!! Heh heh. Sheesh,,,,,,.
    Take care good sir!
