This truck was garage kept in Las Vegas from 1980-1988 it was then moved to Montana where it was stored in a dry, clean concrete floor Quonset hut with no windows. It was pulled from storage in late 96 received a new battery and oil change, 9/97 it received all 6 new tires and was placed back in storage. The truck was found and purchased in 2020 it was transported back to Dallas Texas where it received a major engine out service. The valves were sticky on both heads therefore we removed the engine had both heads professionally rebuilt by Wells Racing, new Milodon oil pump, push rods, lifters, full gasket set, new fuel pump, new clutch and pressure plate, rebuilt carburetor, two new Dorman fuel tanks, new sending units and all fluids changed. The engine is properly detailed, numbers matching and factory correct. A/C has been charged this truck runs and drives great.
Cosmetically excellent inside and out it has not been buffed or waxed only hand washed. This is a special ordered, highly optioned, 21,445 actual mile 1 family owned rust-free truck.
It would be cost prohibitive to duplicate this truck in restoration very correct with the exception of the 1987 steering wheel and a few aftermarket accessories. The correct steering wheel and an NOS horn button come with the truck
Great documentation with books and manuals.

A manually shifted crew cab dually truck, with the toughest manual transmission with a gear splitter. This is a real mans truck!
The definition of masculinity
any truck that gets the job done is a “real mans truck” bud🤡🤡🤣🤣
They are truly hard to shift especially if it has a granny gear 1st gear . But once you know it and keep the linkage well lubed and adjusted it's gravy .
Hey is this a convertion truck or chevy made crew cabs
Manual with the two speed rear awesome truck that thing is a gem and it's as old as me 41 years old
The original owner of this truck spent more time ordering it than he did driving it.
Must have been sitting unused for decades!
@@JeepCherokeeful what a waste. Those trucks are made for work. Probably rich people that owned it more for a novelty than anything else.
@@100texan2 at least in Texas, I’ve never seen so many duallys lies in my life!
I could listen to this dude talk about cars/trucks all day.
Same here. Man sounds like he knows what he is talking about.
Hell yah!!
I agree with you. I could listen to him all day as well.
Saaame
He does and indept research on all the cars he comes across....
I love how simple older trucks are.
Simple? This is 10 times any truck you can buy today.
Yep, get it... start it up and drive to your destination. None of this entertainment system BS.
Hola soy cristian desde argentina... muy linda gmc un a maravilla!¡!!
@@cristianvonch8685 saludos asta Argentina, que bueno y veas estos videos que nos traen los modelos viejos pero de calidad 😀😀😀
@@ryanschaff123, it would be a sucker bet to say that NOTHING GM builds today could survive as long as this old classic has and be in even a remote way in as good a condition. Even those that have spent their entire lives working are far better than anything GM produces today. They are just REAL trucks.
Dennis has been getting lucky with these finds lately. He's got the best job in the world!
Probably there are thousands of classic cars sitting unused in a garage allover US
@@wileecoyote5749 he doesn't "pay up"...he is a car dealer...he buys them "right" so he can make a serious profit...His profile is helping him attract cars from all over the country...Car dealers are way too smart to "pay up"...HAHAHA.
because of covid everyone is ready to sell and i mean everyone! Deals to be had that is until its your turn have to sell
You don't get contacts by luck, you make them through hard work, lots of time and Hussle. You earn your contacts they are not given.
@@davep5647 wrong half of my deals have been from luck someone over hearing a conversation etc hard work but usually luck the more conversations you have you increase your luck
Would rather have that truck than any new one
Right? I really don't like new trucks at all.
Me too.
Why?
@@RVD2448 He said that 1980 truck sodl for about $10,000 new. That's a little more than $30,000 adjusted for inflation. You can't touch a new truck for that. I also hate the way new trucks look, I hate most of the electronics on them, I hate how complicated they are, and I utterly hate that I can't get one with a manual transfer case anymore. If I'm going to spend thousands of dollars on something, it'd better be something I love and I don't love new trucks. I drive new trucks at work and my personal trucks have all been 80's and 90's with a couple 70's cars in there too. I'll take old and outdated any day.
B K x100000000
That is the coolest original square body truck I’ve ever seen, what a rare find.
Dennis WOW! this 1980 GMC C3500 454 4 speed/overdrive crew cab is amazing!! I seen 2 rare 70's Chevy's C30's in my home town years ago. The first one i saw sitting in a small junkyard about 25 mins from my house was a reg cab dually. The second was a Green Chevy C30 Dually on propane i saw it at a gas station. In my third home town I see a Blue 80's Chevy C30 single 1 ton Crew cab almost every day! Great find on that GMC Dually!!!
This is why I like Dennis a little bit more than Richard. Dennis has a true passion for these vehicles. Richard just wants to make a buck.
Damn right there bud
yep, sounds like a use car salesman
he is showing you the truck because its for sale. H bought the truck to sell it haha the are the same just different approaches to sales
Lol have you ever met them? They’re A holes. Richard a lot more and that’s real known round here in Dallas. Has been for a LONG time. Dennis has known to be more behind the scenes.
M I was wondering about that. This is the first time I’ve ever watched this channel and I thought he was way too nice for his high level of confidence. Seemed fake. The kind of person who pretends to be over the top nice until he isn’t. Thanks.
Pass by that house everyday, we live right down the road.
This is a GMC Sierra Classic Crew Cab Truck C3500 from 1980 to 1988. Beautiful. Luxurious. Made stronger to last longer.
This is not a find. This is a treasure on wheels. Absolutely gorgeous.
My two favorite 74 Blazer and this 80 truck finds ........wow !
When you closed the door it's solid!!!
I still have a '75 C30 dually. Great truck. It'll pull 10mpg towing loads of around 5-7k. Good enough for me.
And about the same mpg without a load.
My 2015 Silverado 4x4 crewcab dually with 66,000 miles gets 6 mpg pulling 10k and it HATES HILLS disgraceful
Wow starting to become a fan of old trucks 😮
The holy grail of squarebody crewcab dually
What a special truck! What a true connoisseur needs in their collection. Well done Dennis and crew!
All the best from 🇨🇦
Wow! That's a good looking truck! Thank you Dennis, and all your team. I love what y'all do!
What a truck. This is when they were still trucks with real bumpers. Dennis is lucky to be in the situation he's in to buy and get these trucks back on the road.
So much character that truck has! Thanks for sharing this Dennis and have an awesome weekend!
Truck is beautiful just like new but better than a new one today
She is a beauty Clark, passes everything on the road but a gas station. I just sold my cousins 1976 GMC dully after he passed away, best modification was a 100 gallon in bed tank.
I just bought a 76 GMC dually with a 100 gallon tank in the rear myself not to long ago. It also has the 2 factory gas tanks I think those are 20 gallon tanks, so she can hold 140 gallons 😂😂😂 oh that 454 lol
This is a super clean beautiful truck!!!
i like this too much this model. very very beautiful
Dont let whistlindiesel get a hold of it! 🙊🙊😂😂😂👏🏽
Well said sir
Dennis, you folks always do a great job on finding and bringing these vehicles back to life. Another great score. I am in awe.
Totally agree.
I'm a Dodge guy but I love any older model crewcab truck. That truck is an absolute *BEAUTY* 😍😍
I could listen to him all day too. Very knowledgeable.
Awesome. Amazing. All I can say! Should be in a museum
That is a very sharp looking truck. I'm glad the previous owner took very, very good care of it. Even when it got parked, he didn't just leave it in the middle of woods or in a field somewhere to rot. He actually stored it in a good place.
The pop of the hood tells the story. These trucks tell there own story.
What a fabulous buggy gotta appreciate the care that went into keeping it maintained for all them years
How do you value something like this? The most amazing truck on the planet....you see brand new duallies in the 80,90, 100k range and honestly this thing seems like it should be worth more just because of how well taken care of yet nothing super special was done except storing it.
That truck is bad ass! The factory tach is a really cool piece too. Love it
It’s like a friggin time machine!! Takes me back to my high school years.
So cool seeing somebody’s special ordered dream truck! I can picture him at the dealer checking boxes!
ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT FIND
Whenever i see "barnfind" on a sales add i know its a minimum 15k markup coming😬
@Henry Bury usually thats a "contact buyer" thing
@Henry Bury idk. I would say 20-25k
@Henry Bury you said fair,so other words not even close😅
Henry Bury And what does that have to do with this 1980s truck?
Bring a trailer is an auction website for classic or rare cars. They sell for what people are willing to pay for it
What a nice rig. Someone will be very lucky to own it.
Super clean truck. Turned out beautifully
Truly a great find as these double cab trucks were typically work horses and we're driven into the ground.... I even love the tan color combo. 👍
80 model also was a first to have the fuel door. I don't blame him for not wanting electric windows. Beautiful pickup. Standard is a plus.
Love the fire stick dual CB antennas!
Good to see real mechanics
I always enjoy your commentary, very informative and never condescending (you inform not boast).love YOUR work sir!!
Hey Dennis.....
I have a 1972 low milage wife that I would trade you. She has been kitchen kept, only two kids. She might need some new shoes but I think she will pass inspection. White paint with red interior. Built and ran in Texas. No rust with just minor body damage. Upgraded top end and a brand new grill. I give her title and build sheet. She's a true Texas beauty. Even swap, dont try to low ball me.
Love the channel brother.
Such a beautiful truck. Seams like they get a lot of em. And this is no exception.
I watched the video when you and the team dragged it out from barn, it’s a amazing find 👍🏼 thanks for shearing 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Awesome truck!
Probably the nicest one in the world
One of a kind for sure
Thank you Dennis for the wonderful video!
Very nice Dennis! Thanks for showing us.
Such a Cool Rare Square Body ! Love it
Love the most trucks grew up in one was blue and white Grandpa drove all the way from California to Oklahoma thanks for sharing Dennis
I owned a truck close to that but my had a 350 engine, I loved that truck over 20 years and rebuilt several times
Wow. Brings back memories. Mostly horse trailers, but I think gramps did take us on a 5th wheel trip when i was a toddler.
I had a 88 and a half camper special
“Ol blue” was a good 1
Dream truck right there. Stunning.
I drove an 87 3500 rollback towtruck with the 454/4 speed manual, it was a dream to drive. Power to spare, and rode like a magic carpet.
Absolutely beautiful
I love this truck so much i watched the video twice
Beautiful ol truck but I'd still take the Blazer in the background.
Love what your doing, Mr. C
That truck is awesome
you really treated it right after you found her Pulling the engine and overhauling the heads you've made her brand new again
True car/truck/Jeep guy , plus he is super nice with his information.
Old 2WD trucks were beasts and could do lots of things
Its good to know someone else is as ate up as I am, when someone starts kicking out RPO codes from memory, I would have a cold one with Dennis anytime. As far as luck is concerned, people like Dennis make their own luck, with work, and a love for what they are doing. Dynamite video.
*That things got pre 81 cannonball written all over it*
Big John Fury If Your Gonna Be A Bear Be A Grizzly Bear.
I had a 77 four door dually... 454 bored 60 over, racing ported heads, Coca-Cola red, tint all around, matching cap... the works. What a truck.
What an awesome truck! Wow!
LOVE YOUR CREW CAB PICKUP TRUCK, REMINDS ME OF THE ONE MAD DOG DROVE IN THE CANNONBALL RUN
From England,, love the Big Old American Trucks.
nice Truck Greetings from Berlin Germany
That truck is one of my dream trucks
Very nice survivor. I drove these trucks back in the day and I still think they are best GM made.
Nice truck, I had a 76 camper special single cab. It was fun pulling into a gas station right down the middle so I could fill both tanks at the same time. My Dad owned a 1970 Chevy with 396 3 speed it had the original tank behind the seat plus 2 saddle tanks which held 63 gallons total.
These square body GM trucks, especially the Camper Special, hauled overhead campers, dirt bikes, and all sorts of camping gear down every mountain road here in Colorado. They were the most reliable pack mule SINCE the pack mule. Once in a while, you still spot one out here, miss the several I wore out very much!
Man that is incredible.
Big ol Betsy looking super clean 🚗 🚘
My dad would be over the moon for that truck, it's a peach for sure.
I couldn't use a truck that nice.
Or a Daisy
Gorgeous Dennis, that is unreal,as usual you guys killed it! I love it !
Super clean. I have the same exact truck..love it beyond words.
You know at first I was skeptical when you purchase these, vehicles yes I seen the video ,the first week it was posted..... but sir you did a fabulous job getting these two General Motors trucks back up to par....... the Blazer I'm just absolutely in love with but that Dulley is awesome too. I never seen another one like that set up so well so ahead of its time..... I hope you plan on keeping them in your collection because they are definitely jewels...... thank you for sharing....❤
For that to be an original dash and gauge cluster, is incredible. looks like new!
I miss these old trucks not many of them kicking around what a gem though
My grandpa had a truck like this, oh the nostalgia of hearing that starter roaring, I can imagine my grandpa starting it in the driveway!
I'm in love this is my dream truck Thanks Dennis for the video
That thing is absolutely beautiful what a find
Another great vid.. love that truck. 👍
Once again Dennis outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome looking truck!
Wow what a beauty.
Frickin beautiful !!!!
Love old dually look. Thats "tough class"
That truck is awesome.
Thats absolutely the most gorgeous truck ive seen . and shes a survivor tjats just unheard of . i hope it is treated right and not dropped or slammed.
That is such a beutiful car, super useful for a horse owning family going to shows and such.
Damn that kind truck deserve to be in a collectors garage.
Looks clean, most old trucks are rusty, well loved and used
Just. Gorgeous.
That truck is a serious statement. Love it! The fact that's been sitting for that long and it still looks that great is testament to its build quality *and* the fact that it was kept in an environment and climate that has managed to protect it for that long is very satisfying to see. I get sad whenever I see a car left outside for years to rot, so seeing this still looking brand spanking new is simply marvellous 🙂👌.
I'm a little sad that it's never really been used as a truck. I'd stick a camper on that sweet ride and go have fun...
@@chrisgonzalez1597 Yeah, I agree. I do wonder what the asking price for this would be, though. Such a fine specimen with all the original documentation still present must command a good price. I'm just not sure what it is. Dennis might have mentioned it, but I can't remember having heard it. If it's taken to an auction with no reserve, it will fetch the price of what someone is willing to pay for it and it *can* end in major disappointment. I just hope a crazy bidding war breaks out, because damn, this is one glorius time capsule on wheels and it deserves to go for a good price.
These were some of the most anemic underpowered work trucks ever built. In the early 80's basically EVERYTHING was underpowered, oversized and built with enough emissions garbage to choke a dinosaur! Even corvettes from this period are crap! And unfortunately quality control was poor at best. Trust me,that truck didn't look that good when new...door/fender gaps never lined up,chrome NEVER lined up...they put a lot of time in just aligning panels and chrome! Its cool, but NOT something you'd wanna drive today...better keep it as a "time capsule" thats all its good for
