In Mexico they have the hunter edition squerbody C10 from 1982 - 1991, they had a unique paint skeam, color match bumpers, bumper guards, & grills, and a unique individual sport seat, and the 90 - 91 had the suburban grills with the long head lights, super rare and cool sport trucks.
They came in black, blue, white, red, and all of them with several stripes in the sides.

I owned a Spirit of '76 in the early 80's. 2WD LWB truck. One of two cars I wish I had that I could get back. Nothing special; just a 350 with a 2-barrel. But it was awesome for a 16-year old. Sold it for $500 in 1983!

My dad and his twin brother had one of each, my dad had the 454 BEAU JAMES and my uncle had the GENTLEMAN JIM also with the 454.My uncle bought his brand new. These trucks were very expensive compared to their counterpart on the same lot.My uncles truck sat at the dealership for while before he seen it and purchased it, he wasn't worried about the cost. I love both and they ran strong, you could hit passing gear at 90 mph this is a fact, I rode in both. The quadrajet was a cool soundtrack and worked perfectly when new. 😊

Cool vid! I bought a 77 C15 last year to build. Didn't even realize it was a Royal Sierra til I got it home. Neat truck with a lot of factory options like ac, interior wood trim, full gauges with clock, and tilt wheel. It was also ordered as a Heavy Half with 6200 lbs gvw making it emissions exempt.

Back in the early 80s in my area there was a 81 or 82 stepside in light metallic blue. It had stacks like a little red express, 1 ton style cab lights, running boards and "mini-18" decals on the rear fenders. The only other one I ever saw was on marketplace about 5 years ago. It was the same color. Might have been the same truck. I did find some info about a conversion company in Oklahoma City that converted them.

I have heard of an Oilmans edition black/gold truck built in Texas. In western canada, Alberta and Saskatchewan became provinces in 1905, thus in 1980 there was a 75th anniversary black/gold truck offered in these two provinces. I have one of them. I am not sure who produced them, I believe it was dealer produced. There were no special interior packages, I’ve seen them in long box, short box, 2wd and 4wd. In my opinion they were ordered as a straight black truck with chrome side mouldings, a crème interior with various options. A gold belt line was painted on, with the rally wheels painted gold. If anyone has information on these truck I would absolutely love to hear from you.
As for the work and research you have done on these special edition trucks, it is amazing. And thank you very much.

The rolling rebel is a lot like a Suburban my dad painted for my grandpa. My dad was the body work/painter for my grandpas shop. It was a new suburban he had my dad paint. Cant remember the exact year but it was somewhere between 81-91. I loved that burb, took many road trips to northern Wisconsin in it. It was several shades of gray panels and stripes. I wouldn’t doubt it if the Rolling Rebel was the inspiration.

Over the past 20 years, I've run across a few of these. I found a Street Coupe truck for sale at a Super Chevy Sunday event. I also found a one owner 80 C10 Sport step side, sitting behind the owners business for at least 10+ years. EVERY panel needed to be replaced for rusting. Wood bed floor was rotten, etc. I spoke to owner over 2 years, and had made a good offer to buy. Would not sell, and then disappeared the next year. Just a few months ago, found an 80 Indy Hauler on Marketplace near me. It had many of the correct parts, but had gotten bumped in the front. I was about to take trailer over to buy it, but I wanted to see the SPID. It did not have one, so I passed. I've owned 7 trucks and Suburban's, all squarebody ! 😀
