    I heard unregulated Miyota 8215 is more accurate than NH series

      It usually is.
      Seiko is a favorite of microbrands for the bi-directional automatic winding and the visible ball bearing of the rotor, that makes it feel (and look, in a displayback) more "high-end". But, as they come out of the factory, the 8215 is a better movement in every other respect.

    You didn't even address the elephant in the room. Seiko 6R movements in their $1K watches keep crappy time. A veritable lottery of whether they are going to gain +/-15 seconds 'a day'....not a week or a month.They are unregulated. Miyota movements all keep better time.

      So you're expecting seiko full mechanical movement to go +/- 15 seconds "a month"? LoL. Not even a rolex going to get that acurate.

      @DestroyTheMindless if they spent time to regulate their watches, they would be within 5sec a day. Steeldive regulates the NH35 to around 2sec a day. It's completely doable, but seiko doesn't want to spend the time to do that.

    hello I am a beginner. I'm interested in an 8n24 but I can't find anything about it! Is it compatible with NH35 boxes? where to find adapter ring?

    • @DIYWatchClub
      @DIYWatchClub  9 месяцев назад +1

      We do have watch kits with 8N24 in our store, like this Mosel here: shop.diywatch.club/collections/watchmaking-kit-skeleton-watch/products/copy-of-pvd-skeleton-vintage-dress-watch-kit-miyota-citizen-8n24-anthracite-movement-mosel-series
      Usually the watch case is designed specifically for a certain movement. So watches with 8N24 are usually not compatible with NH35. And adapter rings for movements aren't really a commonly seen thing.

      @@nielwilliams4687I agree with your analogy, but I would never compare automatic to digital movement. They are for completely different functions. Plus I would never buy another citizen anything. I bought a $250 ecodrive watch like 6 years ago. It would not keep correct time. I thought I was setting the time improperly. I was not. When I tried to return it a Citizen rep reaching out to troubleshoot the problem, when he told me to do the exact same thing as the manual I told him I had already done that and wanted a refund. He never responded. I never got a refund.

      They're both skeleton movement. Open heart seiko are NH38 or NH39.
