- Car alternator to rnotor conversion runs on any voltage 24 volts to 144 volts.
Other conversions with magnets in rotor polls if any one wants a video.
Please Subscribe and let me Know, as it does away with rotor field power Хобби
@joohan100
On the video it is running on 48 volts, the 5th batterry is for the rotor voltage using a homemade speed controller the voltage that is used is 6 volts max or you will over saturate it.
I have run it up to 100 volts and is still happy will it.
this will be geared 10 to 1 when it is on the bike
A similar generator pushes my car with a driver and a passenger. I like it. I also like to make interesting projects, one of which I do on my RUclips channel
so nice
think there might be a way to series wind it to use the same battery source to make the field too?
i could have enjoyed the video if you do the following
1. stabilize your camera
2. give us step by step guideline of 'HOW TO'
3. CLEAN UP YOUR WORK BENCH
Hi, I just wonder, as it is sensorless does it start up well under load? Does your controller use any complex sensorless commutation algoritm?
what kind of drive you used for the test is looks good works well as the drive reference and how many batteries you are using for the test can help me is that I'm finishing up a project you much thanks att agrdeceria cabrera from Jhon Jairo Colombia
hi have you tried having a starter motor on a car and placing this on a car then having this start to turn the engine and throw the starter in which i am told it should then spike back into the alternator through the block of the engine by having the exciter wire from starter solenoid to run to alternator but 90 degrees off to aluminium head (acts as the static discharge capacitor) in derbyshire mel
Hello, it is certainly the best of all modifications that can be made in terms of simplicity . I wonder how much power develops operating at 144 volts , Greetings
hi, is that the 1500w 48v controller ? how did you wire the field windings ? thx
Yes there is just use a dc to dc converter you only need 5 to 6 volts to the field
Hi, nice work! but... it's been 7 months since you say there will be a step by step on how to convert the alternator into the BLDC motor, i couldnt find it, is it there?
Greetings mate !! I am from India and doing some research on the same subject. I have a 120 amp denso alternator with diodes and voltage controller removed. Can you please share which sensorless motor controller you have used in the video ? I am very keen to convert manual labour cycle rickshaws to e trikes for the benefit of operators. Can you please help. Kind regards.
THE ROTOR VOLTAGE WORKS BETWEEN 2 AND 6 VOLTS. Any more than 6 volts you will oversaturate the rotor, the power feed to the motor needs be at least 24 volts the amps will drop to 2 to 3 amps no load
Hi there how weight or load this type of alternator if used to propel a small car or boat is it possible?
How long will battery last !
Can i use Ac 48 volts -- 10 amps Transformer to drive this alteranator turned motor !
Hi, is it possible to leave the electromagnetic and power it? It should works, i think.
Luca Gessi Hi you have to power the rotor field with 6volts, or you ad magnets into the rotor fingers and then you do not need to power it.Paul
Rightly said Nuttyprof the third world will immensely benefit from an alternator motor. A Mars/ Etek motor this size is hard to source and very expensive.
I hope you don't mind me asking....
What controller did you use? Is it the Chinese ebike bldc controller.
Did u convert the rotor to PM neodymium magnet rotor? Will a hall effect sensor less motor driven go kart be difficult to fine control?
and lastly is it possible to place 3 hall effect sensors in series along the stator, 120 degrees apart?
technically its possible to put the hall sensors, i saw only 1-2 videos about that
What kind of controllre using e-phase motors or coal
Does it produce that amount of torque required in traction for a 2 wheeler bike???????
Sir what kind of alternator did you use...
Sir do you have a step by step video on how to convert alternator to motor.... Many thanks......
I will upload another video of the whole process next week. I have the alternator in the garage, but doing a lot of building work and is nearly complete working 16 hours a day 7 days a week I have not had time to attend to my you tube channel. but that will all change in a week or two. The bike the body work is nearly complete. I have also half built a adults trials bike which will be fun. both will be completed in 2014. my goal this year is you tube... Paul
your alternator whas in what car model ????
It is A sensorless controller does not need hall sensors. but i will use hall sensors on the new one when i make another video i will put all the specs in
am i to put current to the electric door lock on the controller for it to work?
@joohan100
The controller just a cheap sensorless controller costing 26 uk pounds
can i get more details of this controller
hi the controller is sensorless and sensored yes it is 48volt ebike controller the field windings are only powerd with 6 volts and a 5 amp speed controller any more than6 volts you oversaturate it
Sir wer's the update of ur ebike. Have u finished it...
sir I have a brushless controller 48volts 500watt with hall sensor it will work on the motor
Field current?
how do you wire off the alternator
what kind of hall sensor you used
Ok, So basically if you put current into an alternator say like, 12.0 volts the alternator will act like a motor and start to spin ??
It is a bosh alternator 0120335012 gc 14v 70amp Peugeot 206, sorry for the late reply
I will get another alternator and do a start to finish video sorry for the late reply. since the google update I have had no notifications
Could you please sent as a link from the controler (how many watts), and how many amps did you measure with load (max amps)?
kouvpasir Hi the one in the video was 48 volt sensorless brushless from ebay from china i bought a few at the time i think it was around £20.30wattsPaul
Hallo and congratulations fur ihre job pleace thell me wher i have to by this sensorless controler thanks
I will do another video start to finish the alternator used is a bosh alternator 0120335012 gc 14v 70amp from a Peugeot 206
How many amps does it draw at 48V? 100ish?
depends on the load, maybe 70-ish
Good work!!! I rebuild too. But my alternator work as motor on my electric car. If interesting, we'll come to my chanel
Hi I'd like to use an alternator on an e bike. I'd pedal on the alternator that chargers e bike battery just like the erocket bike from Germany. Can you help ie 1000w kit from eBay?
I have to admire your tenacity but somehow I have to doubt whether the car alternator method is the correct approach. Nowadays there are washing machine motors that might be more suitable. One common type is basically a universal motor with carbon brushes and a tacho, Another type is the so-called brushless DC motor. AFAIK these are actually an AC motor that is driven by an inverter. These motors are well proven and quite powerful but just how one obtains them I don't know, Good luck with the e-bike.
Tech Davey Alternators are easy to convert and come in all different sizes, they are available any were in the world and give third world countries a shot at converting them. Denso alternators are the more efficient lighter and smaller.Washing machine motors are good out of the pascal washing machine for wind turbines as well.Paul
hi everydody i make one of these motor it is a corolla alt i use a pc power supply to power the rotor 12v and it draw 4amps and a battery to the controller that power the stator when ever i apply load to the motor it go over 13amp and the fuse in my meter blow it is a 10amp fluke but if i remove the stator wire while the motor running it still continue to run any body can explain?
could it work to be use in electric bike ? i want to build one
yes
explain what you mean and I will try and help you
well im thinking about using one to run a scooter im building
can you show how to wire it at the alternator?
yes new video next week
what is rpm
revolutions per minute
unit of rotation speed
I just wanted to say hello if you're willing to have a forum and we would in electronic forums that you dare say I look like you put the vine open forum title I invite those who have stuck their video on youtube ready bye att: jhon jairo
No.
