    Vassar was too humble to receive all the accolades. Greatest fiddle player of his generation. John Hartford was no slouch either and the fiddle wasn't even his main instrument ! Then theres Sam Bush...what a group!

    Vassar and John, Mike and Sam. It doesn't get any better than this. A great tune. Vassar was the master of improvised melody. He rarely played the same notes twice in a tune. Norman was the same way. Great stuff !!

      I made the trip down the pike at the behest of my pal Pieman, Tony Amenta and Phreshie(as always at the Vault). Security literally certainly into our box. They came and went. They knew and for that I and all bluegrass fans are thankful.
