Great Video Deep. I am in a fix now. I have had booked the Himalayan 450 in December and now it’s in transit. Will be in the dealership in a week’s time. However, watching so many negative reviews regarding vibration, coneset and what not, I thought of cancelling and booked the Honda NX 500. Now, yesterday I took a test ride of Himalayan 450 for around 200 kms from one of my friend’s
dealerships. My observations, beautiful machine, it is big, did not find any issue lifting from side stand at all, good quality, powerful engine, torque under 2 k is slightly less, the best suspension I have tried so far in
My last 15 yea of experience. Anything above 2k RPM and this machine is just a bliss.
However what is confusing me is vibration on the foot pegs in between 4-5 k RPM in 4 th gear specially and the speed is between 50-65 kmph . Rest of the gears in the same RPM did not find much of vibration. It Nothing on the seat at all. This vibration in 4th gear is worrying me only. Please Note, it was only 30km run bike. So after returning from the ride, they have serviced the bike and changed the oil for me. Today I am going for a ride again and see if it has made any difference.
What should I do now Himalayan 450 or NX 500??
If u can afford then go for NX 500
If you can afford then versys 650
You can go with 450 ..excellent Value for Money . Minor issues not so intense . can be ignored . Overall very good machine .. Its flys in highways , amazing touring machine

@@TECH-dc7bk 3 lac rupees matters a lot irrespective of almost same power figures for the sake of some more refinement, also sacrifices the part availability, repair and maintenance. Not practical at all going for nx500.

Deep bhai maine to ye le li muje badi test drive b nahi mili.
Muje badhiya lag raha hai, par 1 and 2 gear me vibrations jyada hai.
Mera service abhi hua nahi 1st isliye 60 k upar gaya nahi hu.

About the brakes, I have not ridden the re, but imo as u mentioned the front suspension areon the softer side, having a sharper brake runs the danger of extreme nose dive under emergency braking. Whereas as per your NX review, I can tell the front suspensions are much stiff so that kinda setup usually supports heavy braking as is evident by the provision of dual disc setup.

Deep ranjan I own the same & much vibration is there & also engine lacks smoothness & refinement.
Gear ratio is also very short
It ask for all gears in just 80-90 kmph.
& There are types of sound came from engine

I think one more point which may be a deal breaker for many is tubed tires in current version. We need to wait and see how re will price tubeless variants and then compare i guess.
deep bhai i have bought new Himalayan 450 in December done 2000 kms the major problem seen while riding is that there is a vibration on handle bars too, after every 50kms my hand starts paining specially right hand. but other wish bike is too good.

@@utsav8530 any time himalayan is best then triumph. But again depends on what type of rider you are. If you are interested in off road and long touring RE himalayan is the best. Engine hear is no problem both bike have the same heart capacity.
