    It's great that you can play the Hippopotamus with either White or Black. But here's a disturbing thought. What happens if you play the Hippopotamus ... and your opponent responds with the Hippopotamus?

    • @michechess
      @michechess  11 месяцев назад +1

      I guess there will be a war for territory between two hippos then 🙃😁

    I’m curious as to how the hippo player should respond if his opponents creates a massive 3 or 4 pawn center.

    • @michechess
      @michechess  9 месяцев назад

      In the video there are some examples where White advances 3 pawns...
      In general the plan is to break at the right moment and react in or around the center.
      I know it can be scaring when your opponent advances the 4 pawns, but keep in mind that it doesn't necessarily mean they are better (since advancing pawns also creates weaknesses)

    what happened if the wait attk with th 3 pawon F. E. D?? and what happened it the playa advance version pawn?

    • @michechess
      @michechess  9 месяцев назад

      Every position is different...
      But very often you can break on f5, e5 , d5 or c5 before either of his pawns gets the 5th rank

      I understand if you like the Knight, but keep in mind that the Bishop is better, usually it's a good trade for you

    The problem line I face is wn they start wd F4 E4.. N then go for pawn exchange on f5/6.. Wd Rook on E1D1 n Bishop+Queen on B3 n C2 putting pressure on my king side GF pawns... Thus opening the king side wide open.. 😢

      Have you thought of playing in the center when they are preparing the f5 break?
