You are right that weight loss isn’t everything on this journey because we are looking for healing and good health! ❤ I will say though that my experience and research has told me that dairy is a huge pitfall for weight loss. Every-time I have it I gain a few pounds even if it’s just a little. I know we have to do whatever helps us stay on track (dairy, spices, sauces, etc) but if you ever feel stalled you know those things have to go. Keep up the great work, you’re very inspiring and I love your realism. ☺️ I’m doing my own egg fast this week, wish me luck! 😅
I was once in a place in my life where eggs were the only food that I could afford. It was back in the days when a dozen eggs was less than $1 and I could get 4-6 meals per dozen. I lost weight over time especially in my hips, belly and waist. I only ate eggs, no cheese.
Keep in mind where you are in your cycle when you did it... If you read "fast like a girl", out explans the various hormones at play and how quickly one might lose weight will vary over the course of the month.

I’m currently doing kind of rolling 3 day eggs fasts. I’m on week 2. 3 days egg fast, 1 refeed day, 2 day dry fast. This last week I overdid the refeed day (still having some minor issues with binging, but it’s far fewer and farther between since I deactivated instagram!). We shall see how week 2 goes since my refeed day will be on Easter, then my next refeed day on date night 😂. (Also, hi, I’m still alive - Daisy)
Courtney, congrats on 500 days! Thank you for sharing your challenge! You're so like me in so many ways, and I only just heard about you a couple of days ago on Lillie Kane's video. We're on day 46 here, and time seems to be flying, but it also seems like a long time since we started, like our past WOE was another lifetime. I actually think I'd like the 3-day egg fast, since (funny enough) I'm not a big meat person and have devised ways to get it in disguised as other types of food. lol It took a while to not be nauseated and in despair about having to eat meat. Not gonna lie, the first few days on carni were rough. At least the sleep was better! Anyway, I could stand to not eat the cheese, so I wonder if I could just go with a sprinkle of parm or a slice of cheddar melted on dinner's eggs and be okay with the fat content change. I have 3 lbs to get down to a "tens" of weight that I haven't been in, in a long time, so I'd love to even lose what you did if it would help speed up the loss. Currently 13 lbs down in 6.5 weeks. Aw I just love you and your honesty! You ARE a bad ass , with or without a nose or lip ring lol. At 54 I have just now learned to simply experiment on my own body myself and I love it. So with the egg fast, do we incorporate normal fats the same as before? I can’t do dairy 🫤 Thanks again for the great video!💫💕
Great video Courtney. Day 188 for me. I've been same weight for over a month. I may try this egg thing. I tried a 36 fast and it worked to get rid of water retention, but still haven't lost anymore weight. So frustrating. My hubby says I'm going thru w midlife crisis too. I think it's just bc we finally love ourselves. :)
@@CourtneyLuna Courtney, just a day later and Im pretty sure I found the culprit of water retention and no loss. Splenda makes a new multi-use syrup (I've only found one local store that sells it, even online) anyway....this stuff is dangerous for bingers. I controlled myself, but only after I made it through a whole bottle. Just a little bit everyday. 6 carbs per tsp!!!!! I stopped eating it.....scale is moving again. Stupid carbs!
LOVE the haircut Courtney, absolutely love it! Something's rearranging w/you, because your eyes look even huger & lower face is narrower & cheekbones look even higher. Not that you had a round face by any means, but it looks a bit narrower~ & I doubt it's just the haircut. Such a pretty woman🌻 Pierced my lower lip when I turned 3O.~ it hurt SO BAD, only about 10 seconds, but I screamed like a baby. Wore a diamond stud for years, after it fell out one day I just never replaced it~ but I loved it for a while. YES on Sean O'Mara! Love that guy so much, highly recommend his content~ for all kinds of reasons. *HEY~ 1.6 lbs in 3 days is awesome! I've been averaging a pound a week, & only these past few months~ out of 2 yrs!! For me, I had to hugely increase my fats, & lower my protein~ but that's always subject to change, as we know. Honestly, I think my body wasn't gonna let go of anything until it was darn good & ready, & likely was a variety of things. Upping my fat could just be coincidence timing, since I'd done that the first year & GAINED a little weight. Who dang knows =) All that blather aside, & since you asked, I'm finally down 30 lbs~ 165 from 196, @5'6" tall. SO thrilled! Will be interesting now to see where my body settles at, likely around 150 or so~ which is where I feel best. I'm not built to be a svelte, willowy figure~ plus I like my curves. Wasn't always the case, I felt frumpy in clothes, like they tented off my chest, & could never find jeans that fit my rearend w/out gapping in waist in back. I think I've learned to appreciate it for what it is as I get older. Ok, essay over~ crap, I talk a lot! Have an awesome "almost 40" adventure Courtney, it's not a crisis at all imo. We have periods in life that inspire us to try different things, maybe a bit bolder than usual. It's like trying on different hats. Good for you for doing the egg fast! Also I agree moving in the direction you want to go is always progress and when you eat this way all the time, I have not found that my body makes big jumps with things like the egg fast and the sardine fast. Eggs way easier for me!
This is interesting, I thought egg fast was literally just eggs, I didn’t know you could eat other things too. I will say though, it wouldn’t be for me. I feel physically nauseated if I eat just eggs without a clean meat with it. It’s odd. Like eggs and bacon will make me feel sick to my stomach they just don’t do it for me, I need beef. I’m better off with no food than to have just eggs for a meal or eggs and bacon. Wondering if anyone else is like that?
Yep~ same here Sara. That being said, I've noticed that hard boiled eggs on their own do not nauseate me. Any other form is no bueno. I've always assumed it's the richness of eggs, though I seem to do better w/the yolks-which are "richer"- than whites. *Recently discovered there are several components in whites, w/"ovomucoid" being the dominant allergen, that can trigger the body to mistake it as a threat to the immune system. Nausea is one of main symptoms. Makes me wonder if it's somehow related to it being another species egg/unmatured animal, that directly conflicts for females in particular~ just some thoughts. ~Samantha
@@RV-there-Yet that’s great insight! I have heard that eggs are glucogenic (turn to glucose) and eating them alone isn’t the best idea. I also do not have anymore weight to lose so I wonder if that plays a part as well 🤔. So much to still discover 😃

My mom and I ate carnivore for a month and it did wonders for our health. My mom has a severe hernia that she needs surgery for and any type of gastric irritation causes her severe pain, along with arthritis and joint stiffness. She never had any issues eating carnivore. Plus, her joints had noticeably less pain. I have some arthritis, stiffness, psoriasis, and swelling issues. All disappeared on carnivore. I've basically found out I can't tolerate gluten or sugar 😭. It causes my joints to hurt, my psoriasis comes back, and my joints are so stiff and painful. We both noticed we didn't have as much gas eating carnivore 🤔. Interesting considering all the fat and cheese we were eating 🧀😂.
Ive had severe arthritis and people think im joking when i say only animal products make me not in crippling pain. Ive tested the theory. Salad makes gas, flours clog/bloat, and anything processed or the above means i wont be comfortable for at least 3 days.
Yesterday I ate boiled eggs with spicy mustard. Today I’m fasting only because I’m not really hungry but, if I do get hungry, I’m going to eat boiled eggs again.
Currently doing a sardine fast, then im doing egg fast with 18/6 IF. Going away in 8 days, i have 3.8kg to lose to hit my gw 47, im 50.8kg. I was 105kg during preg and lost 119.2lbs.
Try sprint cardio. It’s been really good for me. I started sprinting for 30-45 seconds and walk rest for 2 minutes. Sprint speed was 6-7 miles an hour on treadmill. But now I keep it around 9-10 miles an hour and hit 20 seconds. 40 seconds off. 10 or more rounds. Try it!!
Honestly... i do omad every day. And usually two days of the week I'll make my dinner 3 eggs and some veggies. Its good for saving money. Also who doesn't love some scrambled eggs and melty velveeta cheese.
I did the egg fast, I've been on carnivore for 4 months now. My weight on the scale didn't drop. However, lower body shrunk but haven't lost any kilos. Can someone be kind and help me out here.

No, cheese is part of it. Go to the "i breathe I'm hungry" page and search the egg fast. There are a few reasons, partly is about the fat ratio, and part is about specific minerals in the egg combined with certain ones in cheese, that supports the liver, which speeds up it's ability to burn fat
Everyone has opinions so here’s mine: Purge yes!! Liberating! Simplified living is soooo satisfying! Piercing and tattoos…please just say NO. Your skin is ridiculously beautiful. Don’t treat it like a notebook or pincushion (!) it will possibly embarrass you later in life. It’s so refreshing when people are willing to make better decisions just to be ‘different’. 😂 Try a fake tattoo for awhile and live with it for like a few weeks/months. Here’s what my JoVo version is going to be: I’m doing M-F egg feast and Sat-Sun regular carnivore. I plan to follow those rules for the whole month of June because July is our beach vacation. …oh. I’m still Team ‘no holes-no ink’. But I know you don’t listen. 😂
It sounds like she's just doing a extreme caloric restriction, which is not good long term because you will adapt to a eating disorder, intermittent fasting while eating the full macros is always the best most natural option and occasionally restricting 200-300 calories only

Hey Girl I personally think you have a great nose for a piercing, you just have to find the right piercer who looks at your nose and puts it in the right place. I got mine 8 years ago going off of recommendations from Yelp. Haven’t regretted it at all. I currently have an endless ring, but have had different colored stones, and flowers since then. Just go for it since you can always let it close if you don’t like it
Too much? That's the bare minimum for the body to function properly. You need even more if you're active. CICO is false. The *main* controllers of weight are hormones. Don't undereat to lose weight, or you'll slow your metabolism.
True depends on the body mass and height. For me coz im short I need 1000cal to excist. To lose weight I have to have 800cal per day. I've lost 118lbs thus far.

No, cheese is part of it. Go to the "i breathe I'm hungry" page and search the egg fast. There are a few reasons, partly is about the fat ratio, and part is about specific minerals in the egg combined with certain ones in cheese, that supports the liver, which speeds up it's ability to burn fat

It sounds like she's just doing a extreme caloric restriction, which is not good long term because you will adapt to a eating disorder, intermittent fasting while eating the full macros is always the best most natural option and occasionally restricting 200-300 calories only

Hey Girl I personally think you have a great nose for a piercing, you just have to find the right piercer who looks at your nose and puts it in the right place. I got mine 8 years ago going off of recommendations from Yelp. Haven’t regretted it at all. I currently have an endless ring, but have had different colored stones, and flowers since then. Just go for it since you can always let it close if you don’t like it

Too much? That's the bare minimum for the body to function properly. You need even more if you're active. CICO is false. The *main* controllers of weight are hormones. Don't undereat to lose weight, or you'll slow your metabolism.

True depends on the body mass and height. For me coz im short I need 1000cal to excist. To lose weight I have to have 800cal per day. I've lost 118lbs thus far.
