I love that at a certain point, being a blank makes you immune to warp-based attacks A single guardsman stands as an enemy psyker decimates their squad. The witch looks on, confused and frightened. “How!? No one could have survived that attack! My power is unlimited, how do you still stand!?” The guard looks on, and simply says “Magic isn’t real, idiot”
even though it's funny to think about it their not exactly immune to psychic abilities but it depends on the strenght of the psycher and the blank for instance a upsilon level blank maybe is immune to a gamma level psycher but an alpha psyker will be able to crush him even with his aura of blankness an omega will be pretty powerful against any kind of psycher with the weake ones being completely useless in his presence however an alpha psycher will still be able to attack him and maybe defeat him even if his psychic abilities are way less powerful an example is magnus that casually fought against an entire squad of sisters of silence
Being born a null doesn’t sound to bad. Either you die at birth or get a very nice position in the imperium. Best part is your soul probably won’t be eaten by some warp creature :)
Unlike Psykers, Nulls are disliked no matter what they do thanks to their passive aura. People will avoid you and you will have no real friends as everyone will have this unpleasent feeling while being around you. If that sounds alright for you then okay. I would rather be a psyker; people do not feel unwell around you all the time and you get cool magic tricks, which outweighs the possible demonic possession imhp.
I was gonna say this. Jurgen is definitely on the ‘high end’ of the low tier of Blanks. Given the fact that he lived long enough to be tithed to the Guard and the only negative people ever said about him was his hygiene (which is arguably a product of his nature as a blank manifesting as a smell rather than his actual poor hygiene) and his nature as a blank was only discovered in a random meeting with an inquisitor, meaning he avoided the black ships and the sight of the assassinorum. But Psyker fuckery just…stops in his presence. And if Cain’s accounts are correct, they can be stopped at a distance of at least a few meters (but Cain is nothing if not an unrealisable narrator, but he always paints his friend in an honest light, I find). It’s possibly his emotional state can put that in flux but still. Jurgen’s physical presence has stopped Cain being mind controlled by the powers of chaos at least twice, fully cut off some chaos sorcerers from their powers, stopped Necrons fear aura fuckery, literally fizzled a daemon out of real space with his present (in the short story ‘A Mug of Recaff’ which is from his perspective), potentially caused some disruption to the Tyranid overmind and as you mentioned caused Rakel to have a seizure and pass out from being in his presence. All incredibly impressive feats for what some would call a ‘low tier’ blank. His level of potency in his Pariah Gene’s may be even more potent than that. He was original a Gunner in the Vallhalan 12th artillery which means he wasn’t working the gun crews, so he would potentially be isolated a lot from the rest of the regiment. He was originally assigned to Cain as a joke, but as their friendship grew and Cain developed a rapport with him and brought him to more and more places, people would often have to grin and bear his presence to talk to Cain. This portion is of course speculation but it would certainly make sense, every story that canonically takes place before ‘For the Emperor’ sees Jurgen being forced to be away from people except Cain and people in the regiment who got used to his…smell.
I think what allows Juergen to go under the radar despite a relatively strong blank aura is his smell. Because he has terrible hygiene people just associate the discomfort they feel around him to the stench. But we know he actually does stink too because the smell is reduced at lower temperature and upwind of him.
One slight correction - sigma and tau levels still have presence in warp, just smaller and more muted one compared to regular humans. In fact entire race of Tau is belived to be on ( nomen omen ) tau level of psychic potential.
Maybe if GW would make more lore-divulging material. The latest I read on the Tau was the novel Longshot, a guard character meets an Ethereal who seemingly influences her with hand gestures and honeyed words
Regular Human Guard: "Ugh, Sampson is such a bother and hard to be around". Sampson, a guardsman, who is a blank: "I baked cookies out of my own personal rations, to bolster moral". Regular Human Guard: "See? A bother and an overbearing grox". That one regimental psyker: *Clawing at his head in pain*
Jurgen is a lot lower on the scale than where you put him. The man can give Genestealers strokes by looking at them, and immediately following that event he shrugged off being teleported without protection or preparation. And in another incident he basically Un-Khorne’d a pair of Berserkers just by existing. The man would’ve been turned into a Culexus Assassin had he been found out before becoming Cain’s aide.
I've heard people tell me he basically does what the plot needs him to do at the time. So I stuck him there. I didn't think he was at Sisters of Silence level given that he didn't need a device for normal people to still tolerate him
@@beastalchemistVAAs someone who just binged nearly the entire series, no, Jurgen’s abilities are pretty consistently shown to work within 3-4 meters. He disrupts genestealer broodminds, and causes daemons to be fatally weakened all within roughly the same range throughout the books.
The God-Emperor in 40k sought the future of mankind in psykers. Whereas the God-Emperor in Dune sought the future of mankind in blanks - not to be found and not to be predictable by foresight. Given most major threats in 40k come from the warp, a colony of nulls may find itself quite protected.
were blanks a thing in Dune? I can't remember. Was it that he wanted to make humans who psychics couldn't "psychic" or that he wanted to make psychics not work?
@@greendalf123 in Dune you have the idea of genetic memory - that is, the sum total of human memory all the way back along ancestral lines. "Blanks" in that universe may know their history orally, or from books, but when other people try to determine what they would do in the future by comparing them to genetic memory, they literally can't "see" anything. The idea is that a blank in Dune is untethered from human history, and thus unpredictable - they are the only human beings free from the burden that human history places on choice. For instance, wanting a strong, heroic figure to idolize is so common in human history that it has led to ruin over and over without end - a blank is free from this otherwise genetically coded drive for hero worship. They might choose a single leader out of necessity, or practicality, but it's not predictable because they aren't drawing on genetic memory to weigh their decisions. Blanks in Dune are the only truly freewilled organisms in the universe, and this prevents them from being found by hunting machines that possess future-sight since that future-sight is predicated on the very idea of the totality of human history.
There was one story (probably fanfiction, I'd seen it a long time ago), where during the Age of Technology, a human colony tried to make a "null drive", using a whole bunch of blanks to blast a hole through the immaterium for safe travel. They did it too well, and the first experimental ship, with its full military and scientific crew, launched themselves all the way into a different galaxy. The process caused even the non-blank personnel to became blanks, but since in the other galaxy there wasn't an immaterium (or any other intelligent life), nobody noticed, and they just built up their own civilization over thousands of years. Then, in the tail end of 40k, a scout ship returns, with a hyper-genetically-modified descendant and an AI that is the imprint of one of the original scientists, with the goal to re-establish contact with humanity. Then, after a lot of misadventures, where they showcase tech that made even the Necron's go pale and their null-drive cutting lanes into the Warp and freaking out the Chaos Gods themselves, they finally reach Terra, realize that their civilization is long gone, and so they return to the other galaxy, writing off the Milky Way as a lost cause.
A bit of both, one could argue. The former as a long term goal, by engineering and spreading the Siona gene. The latter as means to secure his 'golden path', by controlling access to the spice. @@greendalf123
He wanted to make humans that could not be perceived by precognition/prescience. Thus making fate permanently not set as there’s always a chance one of those humans are around to muck things up
You forgot one: The Alpha-Pariah, as seen in the game "Inquisitor Martyr". It is a gene-modified version of Omega-Minus, created by radical Inquisitors. The presence of the Alpha-Pariah cut a great unclean one of nurgle away from the warp, and weakened it to a point where it could be killed with relative ease. Permanently. Since it could not re-materialize in the warp, a thread of nurgle (rot, death, finality etc) was effectively burned out of reality. The reason why the Eldar say blanks are pure evil is beginning to make alot of sense with that context.
Yes, a suitably powerful blank could completely wipe out the warp which would probably also destroy realspace. So yes, they are pure evil in that respect. Their very existence could destroy everything if not controlled.
Because the warp is interlaced with realspace. The warp touches all corners of realspace destroying it would cause devastation to realspace. Not to mention it would strand countless worlds@@Arkimedus
I think you kinda missed a level. Jenetia Krole was so powerful that Primarchs had to forcibly will themselves to see her visually. One more, the Princeps of the Ordo Sinister are all psychic blanks of a high power level.
@@beastalchemistVA Yes. The Psi-Titans are powered by high level psykers in constant agony. The only way to properly control and direct all this warp power is to have a high level Blank as a Princeps. For this reason the Ordo Sinister has very few actual godmachines at it's disposal, most of them being held on Terra, with at least one of them always watching over the broken Webway gate along with the Legio Custodes and Silent Sisterhood. One has to have a LOT of clout in high places to be able to even know about the Ordo Sinister, let alone call a godmachine into battle. Usually they are deployed at the behest of the Ordo Malleus.
cool fact: a sufficiently powerful blank would see the emperor of mankind not as his god like visage, but as just some shrivled up guy hooked up to the golden throne the emperor crafts his visage with his immense psychic power, and especially when trying to conquer mankind in the great crusade, he needed a strong and powerful visage to unify people to his cause. in reality, the emperor isn't a 12 foot tall golden demigod, as unlike his primarchs, he wasn't crafted in a genetic tube, but born like a normal human (presumably there are many theories on the emperor's origins but most have him still being born like a normal human) so he wouldn't be this godlike visage to a extremely powerful blank who would see past this this leaves a hilarious scenario of a blank just seeing a shriveled manlet on the golden throne instead of the insane power of the emperor, and being extremely confused
@beastalchemistVA In one of the Horus Heresy books it's mentioned a sister of silence gazes upon the emperor and sees an ordinary looking elderly man of middle eastern decent
@@beastalchemistVA They seem him as an ordinary human. The reason they are the Silent Sisterhood is because when The Emperor found them and recruited them as part of the Departamento Investigates they swore an oath to never reveal what they see in The Emperor, hence why the take the Vow of Tranquility, which forbids them from ever talking again, hence the name of their order. Proloquors, sisters of silence in training that have yet to prove themselves and be fully inducted, have not yet taken the Vow and so they can speak, and are often used as speakers of the order when dealing with other imperial servants.
Personally, I like the idea of big E being the result of a forgotten weapons project from the dark age of technology. To me that makes way more sense than him sitting on his golden ass for tens of thousands of years before suddenly thinking he should conquer the galaxy.
@@morescodesup2087 exactly! I would honestly love to be a blank in darktide even if it's entirely pointless. Just so I can see that Pysker stop playing the victim for two seconds. C:
There's a modern fantasy book series called Dead Spots by Melissa F. Olson you may like. It's got witches, vampires, and werewolves in LA, but the protagonist is a very rare "null" that negates supernatural traits entirely within a short radius around herself. Vampires can be awake and outdoors at day when she's nearby, for example. It's cool stuff.
The last one is so powerful it breaks the lore itself (seriously how the hell did a Daemon got fused with him before his "Anti-Warp" aura destroyed it?)
The funniest part of Jurgen is that until it was revealed he was a blank Cain just thought people didn't like being around him because he had really bad BO.
My best guess on Blanks is that the Old Ones introduced the Pariah Gene into humanity near the end of The War in Heaven when they realized what the Warp was becoming due to the conflict and tried to create a new weapon to combat it. Unfortunately, the Enslaver Plague broke out before they could finish their work.
Amazing that they tried to think 60 million years ahead. But, from what I've looked at, the Magos Biologis of Mars believed it was the Necrons who tried to do that. Not the Old Ones
The lore used to be clear (the Necrons turned them into their Pariah units). Then Pariahs got retconned and things got complicated. Then again, their big anti psyker thing is called the Pariah Nexus, so...
@@CantusTropus Do note that Pariah Nexus is the Imperium's designation for the Necron project. Hivefleets don't exactly refer themselves as Hivefleets, that's just human designation for the voidborn swarms. IIRC the Pariah Necrons weren't retconned entirely, merely being relegated as one Necron Lord's experiment. Also they kick arse in DoW so frak it, we keep 'em.
@@IsmaelSantos-xv9qf no they were retconned. from wha ive heard, the necron lords were dissatisfied with how the necron pariahs are and discontinued them
I still believe that one of the lost Primarchs was a Blank With how each of the Primarchs represent a trait found in the Imperium, it's strange that there isn't a Blank among them
@@legna1932 . . . He could use his psychic powers to enhance himself and see the future. Everyone saw him as beautiful. What about that indicates the Pariah gene?
It has been said that the prime gene seed of each of the Primarchs carries a little bit of the innate psychic energy of the Emperor. Each Primarch is psychic to one degree or another. But.... secrets are a thing.
If it was enhanced by virtue of being a Primarch it might explain what happened, he’s not lost or dead he’s blankness is just so powerful that no one sees him or hardly remembers him. So he spends his time fighting extra galactic threats. (My personal for fun theory is the Space Sharks are from one of the “lost” legions, with their legion being tasked with guarding against extra galactic threats. When a few Tyranids Hive fleets got passed this legion sent in what would become the Space Sharks. Having Blankness be apart of their geneseed gifts might also explain how Tyberos can sneak around despite how massive he is, but like I said just a fun little theory that likely only I’d like)
@@benjaminhartsock3281Not Sanguinius the angel, the Angel. This angel was a weapon of mass destruction, for to call it a person is doing both terms an injustice. It was hellbent on eliminating Chaos, and sensed a taint in every human soul. Any psyker suffered immense backlash in its presence, and it was almost impervious to physical harm. In the end, after being unleashed from its confinement, the Angel was bound once again, captured in stasis. Though it could be a prototype Primarch, it was far too unstable for anything.
Kinda surprised you didn't touch on the Omega Negative blank who was literally a fetus hooked up to an anti-psyker cannon because their antisoul was so powerful it killed their mother before they could be born.
Taken out of its mother and hooked up to a life support system. System covered with a black shiny material that when slid open exposed the fetus and it's anti psyker death ray.
@@beastalchemistVA Supposedly, I might be misremembering, but I think they also killed a few other people to where it attracted the attention of the Inquisition who basically scrambled to get their hands on the fetus as fast as possible. As to how it was recovered, i guess blanks cant be affected by other blanks?
@@Xaxp Very true, every bit of media I've read of blanks interacting with each other they don't really seem to notice a difference, if anything they seem to vibe quite well with each other.
Also, "fun" bit of lore trivia. There is a rare breed of mutants of walking technobane called Discordants that are pretty much just like Blanks, except for technology instead of psychic power. They're extremely rare (thank the god emperor ), but for some reason only get born.... on forge worlds (fuck no). Any advanced tech slowly breaks in proximity around Discordant ( and they grow more powerful with age, up to the point of instantly frying anything high-tech in their auras ), and the more advanced tech is the faster it breaks. Like instance when infant Discordant ended killing themselves, their family and few thousand people around them when they "accidentally" break the air recycling machinery in their hub block. Those few who survive are then hunted down by Skitarii and killed as an affront to Machine God. Some manage to survive by fleeing into wasteland outside forge cities, and one of few things that scare cogboys shitless.
Throw female pregnant with one into Necrons and they suddenly have biological body for reincarnation I believe so, they should get something to compensate for being oneshot with a first cry
Inquisitor Martyr had the "Alpha" Pariah, a blank strong enough that could permanently extinguish even a greater daemon that had manifested in the Materium. She was on the theoretical level of the Black Pariah, but instead travelled to the Immaterium aboard the Martyr to hopefully take the fight directly to the forces of Chaos.
I don't think that that blank could match up to black pariah who very well could have killed the emporer who is essentially a full blown god at this point
4:05 - Okay, now I want to see a fight scene with a Sister of Silence, cause I just got a flash of image of a Sister of Silence dropping down into a room filled with daemons, and they all just disintegrate the moment she touches down. And then she just calmly strides forth towards a group of heretical psykers, as all their attacks die off before it can even reach her.
That's about right. It's also one of the most amusing ways one could make a game in 40k and just, not have the Warp be involved. Daemons literally can't fight them, psykers do nothing, so it's down to Chaos's mundane tools to fight off a Sister of Silence, without any gifts from their 'Gods' to help. Plus, Sisters of Silence are Talons of the Emperor, so extremely good training and gear, but not so much authority like an Inquisitor to demand support.
Only the strongest of Sisters could hope to do that kind of feats against the lowest of Daemon. Greater Daemons would only be weaken and reduce active time in Materium
@@Sorain1 That is in 40k yes (too many Inquisitors are now psykers). In 30k , the Silent Sisters had the same authority as the Adeptus Custodes (and walked around the Imperial Palace freely) Also, think a little how the Sensei, the natural children of the Emperor came about, and are also immune to the Warp.
@@TurtleShroom3The little person telling their story is a “Sister of Silence.” They take a vow of silence upon becoming one. So they never actually speak but talk through sign language.
I remember a story of a guardsman finding a Culexes assassin draining an enemy psyker, the guardsman, upon seeing this, immediately blew his own head off as that was the preferred option to being anywhere NEAR the assassin. And another story I remember is the eldar referring to them as PURE EVIL which is saying something given the grimdark universes capacity of evil.
Depression is not emptiness it is the feeling of emptiness that comes with unmet expectations. True emptiness is horror, staring into black eyes, the face of death.
8:51 I think the dark pariah was just a tzeench plot or non canon since chaos could fundamentally NOT create or even enhance a pariah. You have however forgot the Necrons pariah creation. They take a human and enhance them with the Necrons living metal. They’re too difficult for even the Necron to make so they’ve stopped trying to make them, but who knows how many still exist.
The Horus Heresy book Nemesis is about a team of assassins attempting to kill Horus but running into the Black Pariah. It's a daemon-human hybrid that can perfectly assume the form and memories of its victims and trap their soul inside itself, and is a lethal killer and very hard to hurt. Recommending the book on its own value, a very entertaining HH book although it doesn't advance the plot in any meaningful way.
This was especially fun to watch. I have a RP Rogue Trader who is a blank, and thanks to your chart I can say he sits around Chi standards. He wants to explore and see the magic of the universe… which is hard given he turns the magic off.
I've always felt it goes beyond just "having no soul", because if it was that simple, how could there be different levels of power? (I have more no soul than you!). There's also eldar weapons that can rip out peoples souls, but this "just" kills them rather than making them into blanks. The Necrons, meanwhile, also have no soul (machine body/mind), but maybe they "don't count". The opposite of a mountain is not a flat plain, it's a valley/trench. I have a few ideas 1. They DO have a soul, but a sort of "anti soul", one that negates "Regular" warp energy, pushing away the warp itself and sucking in warp energy that's made it into the materium and they appear soulless because such things can't be seen, like a singularity. 2. They don't have a soul, but this is not the cause of their powers, but a side effect of them, whatever in them negates the warp also prevents a soul from forming in the first place. 3. Related to both, they have a "hole" for a soul, one that drains away warp energy. A hole is, after all, the absence of something, and hence "nothing/no soul". but a hole is also a thing in its right, and can also be bigger/deeper/wider than others, which means you can have different power levels.
My best estimation based on what we actually see on them is explanation 3. It's a black hole in the Warp. Blanks seem to be closer to the whole 'soulless' thing, yet still die to soul ripping weaponry, which might be explained with the force on the warp involved destabilizing their little bubble of 'calm' in a fatal manner. Blanks being so low emotion would be consistent with Necrons for the most part.
Actually, the whole emotion thing has more to do with upbringing than pariah gene. Sure pariah gene does affect their emotions and steer it to be duller but we saw plenty Blanks with regulars emotions, some are quite fiery. All humans have soul. Blanks included
Natural Blanks are a genetic adaptation to the Age of Strife and 5000 years of constant Warp Storms all over the galaxy. Pretty much the same as some humans gained blue eyes to withstand ice glare and obtain slightly better night vision, due to living in northen lands with less sunlight and more ice. They should be way more numerous than 40k writers made them, simply because of the numbers involved. On Terra there are about 20 quadrillion people, thus a minimum of 20000 Blanks would live there at any given time. Some Navigators can also have Blank genes, or learn spells of similar efect. Pariahs are something far greater, and can feed on the Warp in the same way as the Warp feeds on emotions. They are born (rarely) among Silent Sisters communities, or are soul-sheared off in psyker crucibles on board the Black Library to make Solitaires, or they are biotransfered into a Necron Warrior body to become Necron Pariahs.
I like the part in ciaphus cain where ferik Jurgen gives a sanctioned psyker a panic attack and she says he's nothing and cain uses it as an opportunity to continue his endless barrage of insults saying (with minor paraphrasing) "he hasn't got that many notable achievements but he's not nothing" it's hilarious and sad
Amazing content dude, high quality art and VA, original above anything else and of course the lore is very accurate and niche. I can't wait for this channel to blow up and to be one of the people here from day one
I think it was definitely a nice touch that makes the video seem more interesting than just a list of power levels when you added the lights going out and the Culexus Assassin getting torn apart. Made it feel like there was action to it, and definitely emphasized the dark, forbiding feeling the video is giving off with the music.
Technically, Harlequins in general will have their god intercede on their behalf when they die, hiding their souls from Sai'lan'tresh. The Laughing God will attempt to steal the souls of Solitaires in the same manner, it just has a much lower chance of working.
every time i see Solitares, i just remember the sheer salt my friend had because, they were playing Necrons, had a whole squad of Lych Guard surround my Solitare, and... My Solitare went absolutely ape shit, murder stabbed a majority of them to death with me rolling 6s like crazy, and then they finally stabbed him to death, he throws his head back and Shouts the S-Word, and explodes, killing the rest of the Lychguard, and he failed literally every single revive roll. Good times. We do a bit of Trolling.
I remember hearing something that one of the lost legion's primarks is an incredibly powerful psycher, but due to the way that they were raised, they only knew how to either bless people or just become the ultimate pariah, being able to sever themselves from the war temporarily. But I also read a fan fiction where they were a pariah, it was pretty good

I have little headcanon idea, that there's an ancient variant of Pariah, that evolved from an offshoot of the Old Ones. Possibly a variant of the Slann? Their soulless presence would be so powerful, yet reserved, that it causes the area around oneself to seem unnatural, and uncanny--like all noise in an area just suddenly falls ear-splittingly silent; or the feeling of suddenly being in a sensory deprivation chamber. I have one story idea of a plague marine briefly glimpsing one of these, and he suddenly regains the feeling of sickness & pain from Nergal--and begs for a doctor to save him. He desperately screams for help--even renouncing his god...but his pleas fall on literally deaf ears. When his compatriots find him, they find him curled up in the fetal position, dead from no wounds--and before he was meant to rot away. The other plague marines find it shocking, in how much they detest the smell of his corpse.
I once made a small army out of blanks, albeit only with friends online in a 40k army builder. I don't think it would've been legal to use at a 40k store. Never got a chance to use it unfortunately, my group didn't like how complicated the various phases on 9e were so they started using OnePageRules instead and that doesn't seem to have an equivalent to the blank units. I probably won't ever get the chance to use my culexus/sister of silence army. I imagine it would've been hell trying to use a psyker army against em at least.
People rail about how wonderful OPR are but you miss out on so much customization. Are you friends with five year olds? The phases of a turn in warhammer is one of the simpler concepts to grasp
That's just the nature of simplification I suppose. Heavy customization can be great when you already know how a system works but simpler stuff like OPR is better for beginners like my friends and I are. And close, my friends and I are all dumbasses. It was our first time trying a full on wargame instead of a ttrpg like dnd or call of cthulhu. We got what each phase was for and the order of them in a turn mind you, it was just all the rules for what can be done when in a given phase and the math that kept exhausting us. I think we got through like 3 phases of one turn in a deathguard vs league of votann fight before we got tired and switched to OPR.
@@badpunking5782I would recommend 10th edition. It’s a lot easier to learn, especially since everyone can download core rules for free now. Not as much stuff going on as 9th but still get some cool stuff for each faction.
It so slight spoilers for the end and the death v2 The EMPEROR is able to drink in the warp and is an anathema to the chaos gods. He is and was the Dark King. Now onto the crack: the vessel of the Emperor was a blank which was overridden by the new soul of the Emperor. Thus making him a walking contradiction/anathema to the realm of souls. Where ever he drinks from the warp it is permanently gone. He is able to leave a scar across nurgals garden do to there being nothing left there
I would say that I really appreciate having this list, showing the gratitude and whole hearted joy at seeing the full list of psyker levels, but alas, I feel like my emotions have been repressed for some reason and I got a massive headache after the video. Strange but I can still write words at least. Emperor protects.
Humans are the only still present species that can be born as blanks/pariahs/nulls, HOWEVER 1) that gene was introduced by necron adventurers from among Triarch Praetorians; 2)Eldar has solitaires that exhibit somewhat similar abilities, though taken to other extreme.
I feel that Rogal Dorn is some sort of Blank, with just how focused and willful he is. He also has no presence in the warp I think? He’s definitely be a threat to warp entities
This is various levels of depressing. Its only how well they use that depression that they either turn it into a joke or an assignment. Kind of sucks their always alone
I wonder if there's another kind of being, still. A "side of the coin" case, in which they have no presence in the Warp, but rather than a hole in the immaterium, they are like a stone in a river. The warp flows AROUND them. They are essentially non-existent in the eyes of the Warp, and easily missed and forgotten by the senses of the material realm.
The good part is to this blankness can be overcome and removed with some rituals becoming a normal person with posibilty to join the Wizards Gang like everyone who prove is skilled and strong willed to control his limitless powers. Just to not many lived same much like the Emperor to be this powerful.

I love the phairiah assassin at 6:33 that I got a model 😍 of it. I love the sheer uniqueness of their lore and I see them as the ultimate living weapon against both chaos and tyranids threat which both are the biggest threat to humanity!
It’s honestly depressing how the reaction to the fact that life in the Imperium is so miserable (and in the Imperium specifically because only human Blanks have existed), so much so that people actually began to be born soulless, is basically the Martian scientists going “that’s great, we can fight Daemons better like this!!!”
Psyker: "I am highly connected to the warp" Imperium: "You absolute freak, you make me sick!" Blank: "I feel no connection to the warp." Imperium: "You absolute freak, you make me sick!"
Chances are they do have souls and a reflection but I like to imagine the closet thing to it would be small black holes in the warp. I just imagine a daemon walking into the vast warp space then getting sucked into a paper shredder.
In Darktide there is a rumor one of the guard of the psyker Sefoni in the Mourningstar is a blank, he does have by the way a different and unique armor set. On the otherside the other guard is clearly anxious and suffer a lot of torment, he must have been a toy to Sefoni.
Now I kind of want to see a story that elaborates on the relationship between psychic energy and null energy... what if there was someone who could slide around on this scale on command? Like they could turn their aura into that of a null when they need to fight demons and switch over to “positive” energy when dealing with people?
The Null side of the spectrum is more powerful it seems. Since most people are psychically charged that the Null can kill everything while the psychic has a very very hard time dealing with them.
Soooo.... How are Omega Minus Blanks traveling? Didnt they disrupt Navigators? If they have to be trained outside the range of Astronomicon because they can interfere with it they has to be pain in the ass to relocate. If u put a blank in cryo sleep do they stop repeling warp? or do they put them in cryo sleep and ships with them slowly fly through space without warp?
What kind of Omega Minus must be needed to in order to defeat a Pysker who could achieve the so far untouched Omega Plus tier? So far no Warp being has ever achieved Omega Plus grade in the history of Warhammer 40k. Not even the War In Heaven powerhouses like the Old Ones were able to achieve it. However those times might be changing with the Dark King's presence. A Warp being so powerful if he is to form then the entire galaxy would be doomed into annihilation and the Warp itself would boil for millions of years. If a Omega Plus psyker were to appear then you would need a Blank more potent then a Omega Minus to repel it.
Isn’t there another level, like Null or something, which can erase the warp, delete even greater daemons and similar shenanigans? That might just be the high end of Omega Minus tbf.
given solitaires have some weird powers despite being a kind of blank and culexus assassins as well sometimes use some freaky abilities it seems like being a blank isnt just being anti-warp but negative warp. like a blank has a level of positive psychic power and a level of blankness thats a negative multiplier so they manifest not just the null field but a different sort of psychic powers as well.
Could blanks band together, breed and make a new species of human that is immune to the warp? Could these blanks enter the warp undisturbed by demons and warp entities?
I once wrote a little short story that was never published about an Imperial Navy fleet that got trapped in the warp just for a heavily modified fleet of pre-heresy ships to appear out of nowhere and guide them out, and the story of the fleet was that it came from a planet that was constantly assailed by warp storms strong enough to punch holes open into realspace, so the population became almost entirely comprised of Pariahs and when the Horus Heresy happened the planet, had to be evacuated but the ships that were used to evacuate the people of this planet struggled just to get into the warp due to the sheer volume of Pariahs and could no longer get back out as no Navigator could stand being in the same solar system as the battleship much less get on it. It was mostly just a cool 'nomad fleet' stuck wandering the warp idea that I had for a while, they appear during warp storms or chaos incursions, help out and then vanish.

I love that at a certain point, being a blank makes you immune to warp-based attacks
A single guardsman stands as an enemy psyker decimates their squad. The witch looks on, confused and frightened. “How!? No one could have survived that attack! My power is unlimited, how do you still stand!?”
The guard looks on, and simply says

Yeah, that's the obvious weakness for blanks
even though it's funny to think about it their not exactly immune to psychic abilities but it depends on the strenght of the psycher and the blank for instance a upsilon level blank maybe is immune to a gamma level psycher but an alpha psyker will be able to crush him even with his aura of blankness an omega will be pretty powerful against any kind of psycher with the weake ones being completely useless in his presence however an alpha psycher will still be able to attack him and maybe defeat him even if his psychic abilities are way less powerful an example is magnus that casually fought against an entire squad of sisters of silence

Being born a null doesn’t sound to bad. Either you die at birth or get a very nice position in the imperium. Best part is your soul probably won’t be eaten by some warp creature :)

@@beastalchemistVAdifference is big E wont eat me cause I taste bad.

@@Fourtytwo4242Saying from someone beside the Corpse Starch Processing Machine.
I want to note that Jurgen sends inquisitor Amberley Vail's psyker into massive seizure by just his presence. I wouldn't call that a headache.
Can also note that Amberley Vail's psyker is crazy 99% of the time.
@@blogbeatbebop5604 Bro, "reduced when downwind" my man is hot with stink radiation.

One slight correction - sigma and tau levels still have presence in warp, just smaller and more muted one compared to regular humans. In fact entire race of Tau is belived to be on ( nomen omen ) tau level of psychic potential.

The man can give Genestealers strokes by looking at them, and immediately following that event he shrugged off being teleported without protection or preparation.

The man would’ve been turned into a Culexus Assassin had he been found out before becoming Cain’s aide.

Sorry. Can't mention everything.

The princeps used to power psi-titans are blanks?
@@beastalchemistVA Yes. The Psi-Titans are powered by high level psykers in constant agony. The only way to properly control and direct all this warp power is to have a high level Blank as a Princeps.
For this reason the Ordo Sinister has very few actual godmachines at it's disposal, most of them being held on Terra, with at least one of them always watching over the broken Webway gate along with the Legio Custodes and Silent Sisterhood.

@@isaacorr3180 Emperor of mankind is stated to be beyond even alpha plus. He's a few grades above it IIRC
cool fact: a sufficiently powerful blank would see the emperor of mankind not as his god like visage, but as just some shrivled up guy hooked up to the golden throne
the emperor crafts his visage with his immense psychic power, and especially when trying to conquer mankind in the great crusade, he needed a strong and powerful visage to unify people to his cause. in reality, the emperor isn't a 12 foot tall golden demigod, as unlike his primarchs, he wasn't crafted in a genetic tube, but born like a normal human (presumably there are many theories on the emperor's origins but most have him still being born like a normal human) so he wouldn't be this godlike visage to a extremely powerful blank who would see past this
this leaves a hilarious scenario of a blank just seeing a shriveled manlet on the golden throne instead of the insane power of the emperor, and being extremely confused
You think the Sisters of Silence see that all of the time?
@beastalchemistVA In one of the Horus Heresy books it's mentioned a sister of silence gazes upon the emperor and sees an ordinary looking elderly man of middle eastern decent
Neat
@@beastalchemistVA They seem him as an ordinary human.
The reason they are the Silent Sisterhood is because when The Emperor found them and recruited them as part of the Departamento Investigates they swore an oath to never reveal what they see in The Emperor, hence why the take the Vow of Tranquility, which forbids them from ever talking again, hence the name of their order.
Proloquors, sisters of silence in training that have yet to prove themselves and be fully inducted, have not yet taken the Vow and so they can speak, and are often used as speakers of the order when dealing with other imperial servants.

I mean, it's entirely accurate if it's one of the more high level sisters

This was especially fun to watch. I have a RP Rogue Trader who is a blank, and thanks to your chart I can say he sits around Chi standards.

I have a few ideas
So... basically black hole soul edition
@@huntermad5668 Like I said, anti-soul, not no soul (most likely)

Can't give all the lore away.
I can't remember the explanation for why Solitaires let themselves be devoured by Slaanesh instead of just wearing a damn soulstone...?
For those wondering what the sign languange said for the Omega it was just "Subscibe"
Thanks! I mixed up "s" with "e" and was really confused.
every time i see Solitares, i just remember the sheer salt my friend had because, they were playing Necrons, had a whole squad of Lych Guard surround my Solitare, and...
My Solitare went absolutely ape shit, murder stabbed a majority of them to death with me rolling 6s like crazy,
and then they finally stabbed him to death, he throws his head back and Shouts the S-Word, and explodes, killing the rest of the Lychguard, and he failed literally every single revive roll.
Good times.
We do a bit of Trolling.
The laughing god would be proud of that one.
Do Solitaire Blanks exceed Omega Blanks in power?
I remember hearing something that one of the lost legion's primarks is an incredibly powerful psycher, but due to the way that they were raised, they only knew how to either bless people or just become the ultimate pariah, being able to sever themselves from the war temporarily. But I also read a fan fiction where they were a pariah, it was pretty good
"Turns out you're a Tau class blank"
Inquisitor raises boltgun
"No, no, it's okay"
The Omega Minus was this powerful mostly to after Erebus saved him he removed his blankness and merge him with a daemon reason why he needet that drop of blood, that was the ability of the daemon and not the blank.
The Blank was obviously part of the plan, dude. Otherwise just shove a demon into anyone else.
@@beastalchemistVA i have to corect you, a powerful blank keep some of his blank aura after death and it was to it was no one evil as him to he killed his parents from his first seconds and if it havent been removed that daemon would either be bannsh or be absolutely destroid and since it wasn't a realy a blank anymore it was vulnerable to psychic attacks and surprisingly blanks can be also posessed how the Gray Knight who broke Angtron's sword posessed a blank when it was in stasiss on the Black Ship on its way to Holy Terra and Malkador used mind control on the sisters of silence just to im not sure if it used his powers or Aunancia (the language of the universe) what can be used by everyone with any drawbacks and can do the same things like psychic powers, same like magic intantations and spells, how much time you speak it corectly and if not your body will start to exlpode piece by piece. By the way, his name was Spear and Majorkill made a video dedicated to him called something like The Dark Pheraia.
So what you're saying is, that a blank was still necessary
@@beastalchemistVA depending on the situation. Im no a expert but i still know a lot and i realy recomand the video from Majorkill so you can undestand more easy and in better details about that blank.
*Erebus checking the Chaos cookbook that tells him how to do this bs*
Erebus: "Must use blank of suitable negativity."
Spear: "Existence and nonexistence are pain..."
Erebus: "Mmmkay, he should do."
Necrons: Aww how adorable the meatbags think they are soulless.
Love your videos
Great job on the art
Thank you for the kind words! Check out the artist in the description she's great!
now i just want a video of a dude walking up to a full-on DAEMON and just says "you do not exist" then just touches it and it makes last second yelp followed by *pop*
The ASL next to the sister of silence spells "Subscribe" by the way 3:34
Blanks to the average psyker: "Nice magic IDIOT, now catch these hands"
I was actually wondering about this after the psycher vid, thanks!

0:57 Now, I know you said nega-psykers. You know you said nega-psykers.
The RUclips algorithm though? It hears what it wants to hear.
amazing work as always, love the quality you make for 40k videos
Phenomenal work, both you and the artist, keep it up!
Could you imagine how terrifying a null kriegsman could be. He brings terror and mania to the battlefield wherever he goes.
That the forces of chaos would engineer the universes most powerful blank shows just how adversarial they were against the Emperor.
It so slight spoilers for the end and the death v2
The EMPEROR is able to drink in the warp and is an anathema to the chaos gods. He is and was the Dark King.
Now onto the crack: the vessel of the Emperor was a blank which was overridden by the new soul of the Emperor. Thus making him a walking contradiction/anathema to the realm of souls. Where ever he drinks from the warp it is permanently gone. He is able to leave a scar across nurgals garden do to there being nothing left there
Yas, i love the artstyle. Subscribed and Liked
"She who thirst, I who laugh~"
Goes really freaking hard. Damn I hate Slaanesh.
At the very least there is a full minor xenos race of blanks. The Slaugh.
I feel that Rogal Dorn is some sort of Blank, with just how focused and willful he is. He also has no presence in the warp I think? He’s definitely be a threat to warp entities
the last one is the scariest of the all blanks.
i imagine the emperor completely panic when he see this thing and felt relief when it failed.
I bet the emperor now trying to soulvore a omega minus blank must be like eating spicy chicken wings.
don't forget that Omega Minus fetus that's so powerful that it's used in a lantern to kill any psyker who passes into its beam of light
The good part is to this blankness can be overcome and removed with some rituals becoming a normal person with posibilty to join the Wizards Gang like everyone who prove is skilled and strong willed to control his limitless powers. Just to not many lived same much like the Emperor to be this powerful.
Godzilla had a stroke reading this and died.
What, why? Are whe talking about porn with kaijus or what, i don't get it.
Joe is saying your grammar is hard to read
@@beastalchemistVA i try my best, english is my second language what i learned alone like most of the younger generations in my country.
@@teobratuteodor1728 you're doing fine, anyone actually interested in understanding can spend an extra couple of seconds to get the general idea of what you are communicating.
Psyker: "I am highly connected to the warp"
Imperium: "You absolute freak, you make me sick!"
Blank: "I feel no connection to the warp."
Imperium: "You absolute freak, you make me sick!"
Thanks for making this. Pariahs are my favorite part of Warhammer.
For those of you wondering, the sister of silence told us to "subscribe" in ACL
Now I kind of want to see a story that elaborates on the relationship between psychic energy and null energy... what if there was someone who could slide around on this scale on command? Like they could turn their aura into that of a null when they need to fight demons and switch over to “positive” energy when dealing with people?
The Null side of the spectrum is more powerful it seems. Since most people are psychically charged that the Null can kill everything while the psychic has a very very hard time dealing with them.
I like it when a blank gets near some of the Death Guard.
They have tech to reduce their abilities when they want to
Such dramatic reading lol
"I remember remembering something... Oh wait, I forgot...
The thing in this box is very angry... I remember feeling something... Oh wait, I forgot..."
I wouldn't say they "abduct" them in their infancy, it's more that they "save" them before they get murdered
Now make one on April fools that is just levels of normal and how horrifically normal and unremarkable the average npc imperial citizen can be
Isn’t there another level, like Null or something, which can erase the warp, delete even greater daemons and similar shenanigans?
That might just be the high end of Omega Minus tbf.
Null is a synonym for Blank
given solitaires have some weird powers despite being a kind of blank and culexus assassins as well sometimes use some freaky abilities it seems like being a blank isnt just being anti-warp but negative warp. like a blank has a level of positive psychic power and a level of blankness thats a negative multiplier so they manifest not just the null field but a different sort of psychic powers as well.
This was great!
I’m confused as to how a blank can very obviously see psyker power right in front of them used in a wide variety of ways and still be like “nah”.
That one Fairly Odd Parents meme but “THE NEGAPSYKER!”
That which commands the greatest fear is simply a goalposts to surpass...
Daaaaaamn.... that's one of the hardest one sentence promo I've ever heard! That's on the level of Tupac or DMX!
I like how the last black looks just like the frist guy
Great narration! Love your voice! Good job 👏🏼
I was trying to figure out what level Jurgen was. Thank you for clarifying perfectly.
In a long line of adding other media to the universe, does this mean Toby Flenderson is a sigma?
It would be awesome to see another black Pariah as a antagonist of some kind. Maybe they could even be a faction leader with their powers having hidden them till now.
When he's talking about the black pariah, please note how he said WHEN chaos makes another like him and not IF.
I feel like there is a distinct possibility that Eldar MAY create blanks, but their existence would be like fucking agony to a race of warp sensitive so I doubt they survive
A squad of scion blanks sounds like a cult culler
“I have no feeling one way or the other”
“Sigma.”
