Great collection! Takes me back to my childhood watching all the AA wide bodies coming in with my parents.
Thank you! I am glad that the video brought up the sweet memory
Proud to have ANA and Hainan flying B787 to Asia.
Amazing spotting video! Awesomely done!
Thank you thank you!
Lufthansa no longer flys to San Jose which is sad
1:08 That's a great view of California's Great America! I pass the airport every time I go to the park.
Not very often you can view great America, it seems close, but it is actually further
@@MoreFrekeZeke Even weirder is that at 4:27 you can see Moffett Field! The fact that that's 10 miles away shows how truly massive that hangar is.
Hey this is great work! Can you please let me know the address that you recorded this? I really wany to do a planespotting too!
@@AirplaneModeChannel This was almost certainly recorded from the top floor of the Terminal A parking garage.
@@triple7marc hey thanks for the information! I'm planning to record on my phone with the photolens telescope 80x100. Do you think I need more professional lens and camera?
Yes, the approach into that airport is not bad. This area of California is close to Silicon Valley area...So, yes, you see a lot of international airlines.... Yeah, the IT crowd.....Nice..
There are more and more international airlines in the airport!
Really cool...Thanks...
What location was this? I live 20 min from SJC and want to start spotting.
I would like to know as well. Im not that far as well.
Me too i am 5 mins from it
It's in california
@arnavbhalla4433 There’s two spots I usually go to
First one, there’s a parking lot behind the airport, I believe it’s called Hourly Lot 3, and sadly it costs if you want to drive your car in there.
Another one is the Inn-N-Out right next to I believe is Newhall Dr? There you can see planes land or if it’s reverse operations you can see them takeoff.
Very nice! Where are you standing on the bridge on colemen for the shots over the fence? You seem to have a much better view than when I go up there every once in a while
Thank you! I have been one of your subscribers for a while, nice work! Yes I usually stand on the hill right next to that bridge. That's the only place I found high enough to shoot over the fence. The fence wasn't that tall in 2015, we were able to see over the fence easily back then.
I fly to Houston Hobby from this airport because it has nonstop for Southwest!!!
Do you like the 737-900 with the Scimitar winglets or without? In my opinion, the 737 looks awesome with the Scimitar winglets!
Yes I like the winglets. Scimitar winglet, it's good to know the name!
why did lufthansa only send their star alliance livery to sjc?
Hi Liao, it's incredible to think how much SJC has grown up over the years. It truly is an international airport now. Great job on the video.
Thank you, there are more and more airlines operates international flights to SJC.
Thank-you Liao for the time and effort you took to make this video for us enthusiasts. My favorite location from which you videoed was about in the middle, which really gave great profile shots of the aircraft taxiing and making takeoffs. A quick question: if I had to make a decision between San Jose and San Francisco for making a connection (to wherever), which airport would you or your other fans select? Again, thank-you for the great video.
Thank you for your support. I would prefer SJC over SFO because SJC is a smaller airport, less traffic, less hassle. Unless you have plenty of time and want to go out for plane spotting or nice airport lounges.
Thank-you for answering my question. It is great to see your subscribers growing and look forward to viewing your next video.
Yes, you are right. Many times if you can find a smaller airport where there are many international flights as well as domestic flight, you are ok to go to them...
Thank-you, sir!
Wow. That Lufthansa A340 looked like it had barely enough power to take off (and maintain flight). I don't know if I would want to be a passenger on that plane. I think there was some downdraft weather conditions that day.
Interesting observation, I just watched it again and kind of felt the same after reading your comment
I was once in a similar situation. Flying out of Omaha, our 737 left the ground with roughly 300 ft of runway left. At least it looked like that, there was only 3-4 seconds of runway left after the main gear was airborn
Looking very nice....We have always flown in with a A320 's....Thanks...
Thank you!
I saw that 787 landing when i went to great america and i was jumping mad crazy
There are 2-3 787 flights daily, 787 fans are lucky!
im more of an airbus fan than a boeing fan
Sad bc Lufthansa and Air China doesnt operate anymore at SJC because of dense passengers
san jose airport is next to san jose earthquakes staduim i pass the airport every day since i live close to the airport
Very nice video. Do you mind if I use about 3 seconds of the plane taking off for a video I’m working on?
You know Lufthansa is gone from San Jose right
I live in sam jose and I love planes. But its sad I don't see planes I like, like md11
The md-11 operates sometimes at SJC but not passenger only cargo (FedEx MD-11F)
Fantastic video Liao! Liked and subbed, keep up the great work! :)
Thank you! Keep up your great work too!
Thanks a lot, i sure will! :)
Excellent Video! Please reply from which spot can one shoot.
So many beauties included in this video from San Jose airport.Great traffic with all these regionals and long haulers.Excellent work Liao.Really enjoyed it.
Thank you! I am more than happy to share footages to enthusiasts like you.
Great video, the Air China a330 and Lufthansa a340 look huge!
I wish this would be the real sjc
Excellent spotting!

Hey Whats Up Man Great Video. I actually wanted to go plane spotting and I wanted to know which area were you watching the planes. Thx 🙏
The sixth floor of the Terminal A parking garage is a decent place to do it. You just have to get there. It's free to just walk in and take an elevator, but you may have to park off-site or get dropped off (unless you're willing to pay for parking).
I get so distracted at Earthquakes games now and up just watching the planes from Avaya. Great video!
Thank you! I have never watched a plane from Avaya yet. It must be a great sight
So fun to watch the planes land and take off from the mod pizza so cool
Excellent video.
Thank you qwerty! More Spotting videos are in the playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLunwt1_6bQvzL-tnDbC6xvFBy7A_IH7JG
Amazing spotting video! You get a great variety of aircraft at SJC. You were lucky to see the Lufthansa Star Alliance livery A340. Big like for this video!
Thank you! I don't know why I have never seen any livery other than the Star Alliance one at SJC. I guess it's the same aircraft flying the SJC-FRA route
LH 488/489 is operated by LH Cityline, and as such, only the Star Alliance painted A340s operate it for legal reasons. This is why you only see that livery on the route, but LH Cityline operates multiple Star Alliance painted A340s, and so there are multiple aircraft that do operate that route but you'll never see an A343 in the regular LH livery operating it.
Thank you for the detailed explanation! It's very interesting to know why there is always a Star Alliance A343. Is there any difference between LH and LH Cityline in terms of service?
No, the service is exactly the same, that is to say, very good! We were served a hot meal (two options) and hot breakfast (single option) on this flight (LH 489, SJC-FRA).
Thank you. Great to know! Hopefully I can hop on LH A343 one day.
Intel headquarters in the background
How do you get your flight information?
wow really nice video
Bigggggg
where do u go for that view i dont see it
That was at the top floor of Hourly Lot of Terminal A
You saw a lot of corporate jets there as well..
Yes there are a lot of corporate jets, maybe 1/3 of the commercial aircrafts at SJC I guess.
What's the best time of day for international flights?
Night.
when I lived in San Jose, Every day she'd fly out, I'd go outside and take a walk around my apartment complex and wait for Lufthansa 489 to take off. I lived parallel to the runway at SJC so I'd always see her go. :)
What a great apartment complex you used to live in! That 4-engine Lufthansa is beautiful. I wish one day we can see a Lufthansa A350 at SJC, that would be cool
great video. Liked n subbed
Thank you MedJet! I subscribed to your channel too. Keep up your great work
lovely video and lovely reborrn EA 737,... vintage !
Thank you! I didn't know what was EA before searching it on Google
I have been working in aviation now over 25 years.... but even I started only after EA went down...
Is it really that hard to keep an airliner centered in the frame?
Id like to see you try lol, he kept it more steady than 90% of plane spotters if you've ever branched out into trying anything but being a burden.
where did you spot. it was amazing
You could try top floor of garage A or intersection of Coleman Ave and Airport Blvd. Garage A works for morning light, The intersection works from noon to evening.
Eva air line
Enjoyed your video very much. Well done. One small correction. The Alaska Airlines plane that has the Portland Timbers logo is a 737-700, not a 737-900. Thanks for sharing such a great video.
Thank you! Great catch, It's 737-700 instead of 737-900. I will post more videos soon, check back often!
Very good film!
Thank you!
I live near there.
Nice! You could do some plane spotting at SJC too
I never new San Jose had traffic this good! Amazing spotting!
San Jose is getting busier and busier nowadays. I just flew out from SJC today.
@ Landon Abrar
You took the words right out of my mouth. I don't live in that part of the world but i assumed that having SanFransico and Oakland so close by there would be no trafic at San Jose but i guess i was wrong.
nice video
Thank you!
my local airport 😃
same
@@adamstupid hey how’d u find me?
@@ATIMELINEOFAVIATION I was looking at some SJC plane spotting and I found you

Beautifully shot and edited. Thanks for this! Never seen that Portland Timbers livery before - good catch. 😍
Thank you! I guess someone is a big fan of Portland Timbers :)
